Chapter 4 (Cat)

(Sorry this took so long for the few who actually like this story lol)

Nazuri POV

"Meow."

I look down and see that there was a black cat only a few feet away from me. It didn't look like a stray, it looked way too clean and well kempt. I sniff the air around me while looking away from the cat. 'Is this perfume? Why the hell would a cat wear perfume? And why so much?' I think to myself. "A- Achoo!" Still not used to this enhanced sense of smell. 'Does Wolverine have trouble with this?' Looking back down at the cat, I squat down and call it over with a "psspsspssp". As it slowly and hesitantly made its' way over to me, I hold out my hand towards it, trying to show that I mean no harm. The cat makes its' way under my hand, dragging it across her back. "That's it little buddy. I ain't gonna hurt you." I gently rub the cat from her head to her back, earning a purr from the black feline.

After a few minutes of the rubbing the feline, I stand back up. "It's getting late. I should be heading back. See ya later. maybe." I shrug before walking off, only to feel something nuzzling against my leg. I let out a heavy sigh before looking down. And sure enough, It was the cat. "C'mon. I gotta get home." I say before picking up the cat and moving it away. I begin my walk home again only to be stopped. Again! "Ow!" I look down to see the cat with her claws dug into my leg. I wince a little before cracking a smile at the little cat's actions. "Fine. You win. I'll let you stay for a bit. Not like I've got better things to do." The cat responded with a "Meow" and that was enough for me. 'Having a cat would make the place a little more homey.' I smile a little as we make an expected long walk home.

~Home~

"Ugh! Finally!" I shout as I open the front door. All that damn time finding that pushover Viser got me lost. Jarvis is the only reason I got home. 'Thanks again Jarvis.' 'Don't mention it sir.' I walk towards the back as the cat hops off of me and follows. 'I'll give her one thing. She sure knows how to give a great workout.' say to myself. Walking back home, looking for Viser, and Fighting Viser really did a number on my hygiene. 'I smell like shit.' I didn't know if the enhanced senses were why I smelled bad, or if it was actually how I smelled. I opened the door to my room and the cat jumps up on my bed, starting to lick itself. I flop down next to her, burying my head in my pillow. Sadly, I had a nose like a hound.

'Nope. This is getting ridiculous.' I think to myself. I rummage through the closet to find new clothes, settling on a white tee-shirt and a pair of blue pj pants. I throw the night clothes on the bed before going to the bathroom, preparing for a shower.

Cat POV

'What a cute little thing he is. I can tell that he definitely isn't a human.' I quietly giggle to myself before he comes over to me. "Oi. don't piss on my bed. I'll be right back." He says as he lifts me up and sets me on the floor. 'This rude little-... Calm down Kuroka. He isn't worth the trouble.' I think to myself as he makes his way to the bathroom.

Nazuri POV

I step into the shower and let the hot water drench my body, letting it slowly wash away the stench of sweat. "Ahh. Nothin like a hot shower after a long day." I sigh, running my hands through my long hair.

~Timeskip~

Turning off the shower, I get out of the tub and wrap a towel around my waist. 'Is this what people with long hair go through?' I ask, leaning over the sink and trying to squeeze water from my hair. 'Screw it. I'm too tired for this shit.' I think to myself as I walk out of the bathroom.

Cat POV

I hear the door open. 'Finally! It's about ti-' My mind had to restart for a moment. I couldn't do anything but stare. 'It's like he isn't real. Like he was created! How can one man be this... this...' He started to remove the towel before looking over at me. "Weirdo. Just gonna stare?" He asks as he makes his way over to me and lifts me up. 'No! Don't you dare!' I start to thrash around, trying to get out of his grip. Fortunately, I got out. Unfortunately, it was because he put me out the room. 'Ugh! What kind of guy even changes in front of a cat?!'

Nazuri POV

"Much better." I say as I throw on my shirt and head over to the door. "Alright. You can come back in. The cat briefly looks up at me before jumping on my bed and lying down. "Damn. You too huh?" I chuckle before climbing under the covers. Let's get some sleep." I say as fatigue envelops my body and I slowly drift off the sleep.
