[Chapter 4] Netero’s game and arrival at Trick Tower

"Arghh.. time to wake up." Traka says as he stretch's his arms and body out.

"I wonder when we will arrive to the next destination?" Traka wonders.

Traka hopped up and walked to the door of his bedroom just to hear.

"Im from a family of assassins…" come out of Killuas mouth.

'Huh?' Traka thought.

"They're all assassins… And my family has really high hopes for me… But I can't stand it… who wants their life to be planned out for them?

When I told them I wanted to decide my future, they all flipped out! My mum had tears streaming down her face as she told me I have the potential to be a top assassin. They're horrible parents, right? It's only natural their kid would go bad.

We ended up fighting. So I slashed my mother in the face, stabbed my brother in the side… and ran away from home. I'm sure they're stirred up right now. But if they find me, I'll send them packing."

Killua ranted on.

"When I become a Hunter, I'll start by capturing my family. I'm sure they're worth some hefty bounties…" killua added happily at the end.

While Killua and Gon are looking out the blimps window enjoying the view, Netero turns a corner just to see them and smile.

Netero scrunch's his eyes and releases his bloodlust as the two boys then dash's away to the other side of the airship, they both look shocked turn around and look everywhere just for them to hear.

"Is there something wrong?"

Coming out of Netero's mouth as he walked around the corner and walked toward them.

Netero stoped about 5 meters away from Gon a Killua.

"Mr. Netero, did you see anyone coming from that side?" Gon asks pointing at where Netero dashed from.

"No." Netero replies.

Killua looks at Netero sharply and thinks

'When did he…' then says

"You're pretty fast for a old man.".

"That little trick? I barely moved." Netero says smiling.

Netero and Killua lock eyes, the air around gets heavy, then Killua asks.

"What do you want? You don't have to do anything until the Final Phase, right?" Killua asks sharply.

"No need to be so unkind. I got bored, and was looking for some companions. By the way I meant to ask the two of you… Any thoughts on your first attempt on the Hunter Exam?" Netero asks.

"Uh-huh! It's fun! There haven't been any written exams which I was dreading." Gon says cheeringly.

"I'm disappointed… I expected the exam to be far more difficult. I hope the next phase will be more entertaining." Killua says in dissatisfaction.

"Well now… I wouldn't know about that." Netero replies.

Killua turns around starts walking and says

"Let's go, Gon!".

"Now just wait a moment. Would you care to play a game with me?" Netero asks.

Killua turns his head toward Netero.

"A game?" Gon asks.

"If you're able to defeat me, I shall let you be Hunters!" Netero say's loudly.

"Really? I'll play!" Gon says excited.

Killua slowly turns around until his facing Netero.

"How about it, eh?" Netero asks.

"Sure old man, I'll play your game." Killua says.

"Agh-hm, hello." Traka says.

"Hey, Traka! Do you wanna come play this game too?" Gon asks still excited.

"Uh, sure."Traka replies.

15 minutes later, in a room with cushioning all over the walls a ball hits the ground and bounces back up just to meet Netero's hand, it lands perfectly on his finger tip, while his on one leg then he says.

"Now, I'll go over the rules of the game. If you can take this ball away from me, before the airship reaches its destination, you win." Netero explains.

Traka, Killua and Gon look at the clock on the wall and Netero says.

"I believe that we're scheduled for an 8 AM arrival?".

"Well, that still gives you 9 hours. Your free to attack me however you'd like, I won't touch you"

Netero says while spinning the ball on one finger.

"Huh? That's too easy. You can't call that a game."

Gon says confused.

"Why not give it a try first?" Netero replies.

"We just have to take the ball?" Killua asks.

"Yeah." Netero replies.

"Then I'll go first" Killua says.

"Go right ahead" Netero replies.

'Are they forgetting this man jumped from a airship,

Who knows how high, and survived?' Traka thought.

Killua starts moving in circles around Netero, afterimages behind him.

"I see tons of Killuas!" Gon yells.

Killua jumps out of the afterimages and try's to snatch the ball from Netero, Netero jumps back but Killua keeps jumping toward Netero trying to snatch the ball, after awhile of that they both stop.

"What? That's it?" Netero says as he plays with the ball.

"Tch." Killua says then dash's at Netero trying to sweep Netero's feet from underneath him, Killua manages to kick Netero's leg.

"Boom!" A loud sound is made as Killua's leg hits Netero's, killua smiles.

"Ouch… Right on his pivot leg!" Gon says.

"hehe" Killua giggles.

But then Killua's leg starts twitching,

"Ow!" Killua yells as he starts jumping around holding his leg.

"Killua! Tag tag, it's my turn!" Gon says as Killua walks past Gon giving him a tag.

Gon starts stretching then says "Okay!".

Gon push's off the ground with his leg then explodes toward Netero, when his close he jumps upward which surprises Netero, but he jumped too far and hit the roof.

"Ow!" Gon yells as he holds his head on the ground.

"Idiot!" Killua yells at Gon.

'Does he not watch where his going? Kinda dumb if you ask me' Traka thinks.

"We know that you can jump really high! Control your strength! For a moment, the old man relaxed his guard!" Killua yells.

Gon hops up takes a breath then starts moving around Netero.

"I messed up there." Gon says holding the back of his head.

[Awhile later]

Killua's trying to take the ball from Netero while Gon's resting.

"You boys aren't getting anywhere. Why not get some rest in your bedroom and give Traka a turn?" Netero offers.

"Ok! Good night!" Gon says.

"Grrr… fine." Killua says as he walks off out of the room annoyed.

"Come at me whenever you want." Netero says to a Traka in the corner sleeping.

Netero looks over at Traka.

'His sleeping!?' Netero thought.

Netero went up to Traka and when he leaned over to try see his face, suddenly Traka moved his hand toward the ball fast and snatched it.

"Huh?" Netero says confused.

"Well, that was easy." Traka says as he exits the room with the ball.

'That little…' Netero thinks annoyed.

Traka walks down the hallway until he see's his room, when he goes through the door he gets jump scared by Killua standing near the door.

"Holy… you scared the crap out of me." Traka said to Killua.

Killua looks at Traka surprised to see him here.

"What are you doing in my room?" Killua asks looking at Traka with bloodlust still present from the person he just killed.

"Oh this is your room, sorry mines next door

Must have gone through the wrong door, well here's the ball I got from Netero, like it? Well anyway see ya later."

Traka says to Killua then leaves the room.

'He got the ball?' Killua thinks confused.

Once Traka enters his room he turns off the lights and goes the sleep but when he turns around to see his roommate he sees someone in bed, with cards on the floor next to the bed.

'Whatever' Traka thinks as he hops on his bed and goes to sleep.

[The next morning]

"Bing boom bing bing bing… I apologise for the long wait. The airship will soon arrive at its destination." The speakers throughout the airship announced.

Traka yawns as he was woken up from the speakers, he hops up and looks outside the window to see a massive tower.

"What in the..." Traka says as he looks at the tower.

"Man I hope that's not the next phase." Traka adds on.

5 minutes later, the airship lands and everyone hops off the airship and stands on the top of the tower.
