Chapter 29

Kate's POV

Kate was dragged out the loft by Alexis and she started to get worried her sons had done something wrong while they had been gone. They usually didn't do anything but that could always change.

"What is it? Did something happen?" Kate asked and Alexis looked at her.

"No, not at all, everything went great, as always" she said with a reassuring smile.

Even though the smile was supposed to calm her it didn't really.

"Then, what?" she asked not that worried but still not sure what was happening.

Why had Alexis dragged her out her in case nothing had happened?

"Are you offended with me not calling you mom?" Alexis asked and Kate looked at her shocked.

She tried to understand what Alexis had said, it made no sense.

"Where did that come from?" she asked shocked.

Alexis looked down, Kate could see her cheeks turn bright red.

"Uhm, never mind" she said and tried to sneak past Kate inside again but Kate laid her hands over Alexis' shoulders to stop her.

"No, I am not offended, what makes you think that?" Kate asked and seeked eye contact with her stepdaughter.

"Nothing, Cosmo and I were just talking and I started to think about it. I felt like maybe you feel hurt that I don't call you mom even though you and dad are married and have kids together" Alexis said and Kate looked smiled.

"No, I'm not hurt, cuase I'm not your mom, sure I'd like to be but I'm not. You have your mom, and I don't need you to call me mom just because I'm married to your dad, it doesn't make me your mom. Sure it makes me your stepmom but who wants to be called that?" she asked and they both chuckled.

"Thanks Kate, but you should know you've always been like a mother to me, even before you and dad got together" Alexis said and Kate smiled.

They hugged for a few seconds then they went inside again. Cosmo weren't in the couch anymore, Castle had taken his place, waiting for his girls to come inside again.

"Well, I should get going" Alexis said and went to Castle to kiss his forhead.

"Bye" they called after her once she stepped outside and closed the door.

Kate locked it and turned to Castle. His eyes were on her and she couldn't place the look he was giving her. She went towards him and he followed her with his eyes.

"What?" she asked and blushed.

"You are a great mother for her, even though you're not her mother" he said and took her hand.

He pulled her down in his lap and she blushed even more. The hot feeling taking over her cheeks.

"You were listening" she shook her head.

Of course he had been listening.

"Not to everything" he defended himself. "I woke up Cosmo before I figured you two were talking out there".

She smiled and shook her head. His hand reached for her chin and he led her head towards him. Their lips touched and Kate felt the spark between them come alive. The kiss deepend and they both started to breath faster. They pulled away to catch their breaths. Kate smiled and she felt his hot breath against her now sensetive and tingling lips. The tingling feeling she was so used to yet couldn't get enough of.

"Come on" she said and stood up pulling him up with her.

They went into their bedroom and Kate was giggling. Castle took the lead so Kate was the one to close the door. When she turned around Castle's lips were smashed onto hers and his body was pressed against hers. Her back pressed against the door. His lips left her lips and kissed his way down to her neck. She giggled a little when his lips tickled her and she felt his hands on her hips. His hands slowly getting under her shirt, one towards her breast and one stayed on her hip. She moaned but tried to keep it quiet. His lips found hers again, trying to keep her from moaning.

"Castle" Kate whispered and his lips paused from her lips to let her talk. "I love you" she said.

"Really? That's why you stopped me?" he asked and looked into her eyes.

She giggled but nodded. He pecked her lips and took her hands to drag her towards their big bed. He let her fall down to the bed and when he laid beside her he looked her in her eyes.

"I love you too, but now I'm gonna take revenge" he said with a smile on his lips.

"Really?" she teased.

It was hard for Kate to concentrate, all she could really think about was his lips against hers.

"Yeah" he said and his fingers started to tickle her belly.

She started giggling and tried to escape his tickling fingers but he put his leg over her and was now straddling her. She tried to push his hands away but he just took both her hands in one grip and continued tickling her.

"Castle, stop" she tried not to laugh but it was impossible "the kids" she breathed.

"They all are asleep, they won't know a thing" he teased her and when her hands got free he still continued tickling her.

She tried to twist and turn but he was too strong for her to push him off. She didn't notice that he bent down during the tickling so when his lips reached hers she was gladly surprised. His hands stopped tickling her, now they were all over her to feel her. She put her arms around his neck and pulled his body down on hers. Their spark turned into a fire and she unwrapped her arms to unbutton his shirt. Once it was off they spun around and their lips aparted enough for him to pull of her shirt. They moved together, their lips always forming a smile on each others. He made a smooth move to make himself become the one on top. She let out a moan and so did he.

Skin against skin, the writer and his muse made love once again.
