Avic's Story

Chapter 9

Avic POV:

At first, I didn't have the ability to 'think' or decide...

I only did one thing send black or gray floating 'clouds' somewhere...repeatedly...I did this for a very very long time...without understanding what it was...I...was what you could call "emotionless"...but I felt...something...it wanted me to do something for a reason, I wanted to understand it...but...something was preventing me...

but everything changed one day...

Instead of the usual black cloud that I knew...I saw something different...it was a golden cloud...I didn't know what should I do with it...so I tried to see through it...I couldn't as I had expected...but after I tried to see more something happened...It was inside me...filling everything I could feel...it was like I finally 'woke up '... And the Golden cloud disappeared without a trace...

I started having awareness of everything around me...and some kind of 'knowledge' was transferred to me...I knew some basic knowledge...I was like a child...I learned what life and death meant...what a human is...animals...and so on... These kinds of things came to me from while to while...

it took me some time to adapt and process it...and I learned somehow...

later I started exploring where I was...this place doesn't have any end...it's all white with nothing here...I saw a black cloud coming near me I was about to send it but then...I got curious about it...so I wanted to try and see throw it...and it worked...but what I saw was horrifying...

I saw a girl being killed brutally...her blood was everywhere...while her eyes were wide open with some tears falling... people were surrounding her while laughing and sneering at her dead body...

I hurriedly left...I could feel myself trembling...after that, I stopped sending the black clouds... every time I look at them I recall what happened to that girl...there Is something with that girl... She never left my thoughts...not one bit...

Cloud after cloud started coming to me...my curiosity took over me...' will I see that girl again?...'

I gathered my courage and tried to see through the cloud once more...

This time it was worse than before...I saw that girl again being burned alive while screaming and shouting for help...she was chained to the wall

But it was all in vain...no one came to her rescue...they all ignored her cries and walked away...while she...

I stopped and got out...I couldn't stand looking at her miserable state...It took me some time to calm down...I stared at the remaining clouds...I wanted to see more...to understand what happened...and maybe even help...

I watched all the clouds and they all had that girl dying in tragic ways...From watching them I learned a lot of things

First, that poor girl is called Alora, she is 18 years old and was adopted...no it should be 'forced' by A Noble Family called Nyx when she was 11 to be the replacement for their lost daughter Violet, she was abused by the servants and her 'brothers' when she clearly didn't want to be here!!

Second, she is trapped in some kind of time loop...she called it 'cycles'... every time she dies she goes back to a specific time point, and she absolutely loathes it.

Third, there is some kind of a demon who is possessing the lost girl 'Violet' Who also wants to bring destruction to the world, and it can only succeed if he got rid of the danger which is Alora, turned out she comes from a family of Mages, and their Magic is what can stop the demon and kill it. So it kills her...and he succeeded everytime...no matter what she does she always dies...but something or someone keeps sending her to the past...

Fourth, those black clouds are called ' memories' and they are bad ones obviously...and I was sending them to Alora when she was asleep... She calls them "nightmares" I believe, I felt bad because of it so I stopped sending them to her for a while, Oh and I live in her mind along with all of those memories...there are also good memories but they are super rare like that golden cloud it was her precious memory...I...hate it...why can't I look at it...I want to know everything about her...I HAVE TO WATCH IT....but sadly I can't figure out how...I guess I will drop it...FOR NOW

...and I think I became stronger...every time I watch a memory I could feel something growing in me...and I was able to look throw the old memories at some point!!...but it wasn't a good experiment...I watched her past, her life in the duchy, how she lived all her life in misery...her mother's death...I saw everything that happened to her...

And days went by with the same routine for me...I mean all I could do is watch her never-ending memories...suddenly I felt something trying to break into where I am!!

I guessed it might be the demon...but I wasn't sure but either way I had to protect Alora's mind!!

I fought back as much as I can I used all the power I had to get rid of that demon...and I finally succeed!!! The demon attack stopped...I relaxed my nerves and thought about how the demon did it...it always tried but never did it...but this time it was a close call...

' how did this happen...how did he break into her mind...it never happened before...unless I did something...but what is it...' Avic began recalling everything she did she only watched memories and stopped sending nightmares...

' wait... nightmares...the demon attacks only started after I stopped doing it...was the nightmares some kind of shield to Alora's mind?...so when I was sending them they protected Alora somehow...and when I stopped...oh what should I do now...' Avic fell into deep thoughts...she made a decision...she will send nightmares again...she didn't want to do this...but to protect Alora she has to...

After that day Avic sent Nightmare after Nightmare to Alora...Avic noticed the clouds were buildings some kind of barrier around Alora's mind...and like she expected The demon attacks stopped completely with no trace...

Days went by until Avic felt something from Alora...her soul is so weak...like it was about to break...Avic didn't know what to do...she didn't know how to help...

'is this how is it going to end...we will die....but this time...I'm sure...death is certain...she will die without knowing about me...is this how I wanted it to end?...NO!! 'she didn't want it to end like this...She needs to let Alora know about her...even if Alora hated her...she wanted to let her know!!.

Avic waited until Alora went to sleep and then started looking for the perfect nightmare...' if I want her to meet me then I need to let her come here by letting her live her memories' she found one..." I'm sorry Alora T^T but I have to do this..." Avic sent the worst nightmare she could ever find to her.

gathered her power and tried sucking Alora's consciousness to her side...

After many tries, she did it...she looked at Alora who was now inside her nightmare...

'I'm so nervous...how should I act in front of her...cute or tough...UGH!!!'

Avic was deep in thought and didn't realize that Alora broke from the nightmare...

' okay!! I will act like a cute girl!! I'm sure she will like me like that!!'

Avic made up her mind and when she wanted to watch Alora...she saw that she was already in the White void...

'Oh, shit!! I didn't think she will break it this fast!!! Okay calm down and let's try to start a normal conversation...yes...normal'

Avic

Avic:" how booooring Alora... I thought you will enjoy my gift...but looks like you didn't~,"

'I fucked up...WHY DID I SAY THAT!!! I SAID NORMAL!!! ' Avic wanted to cry because of her stupidity...

Alora began looking around searching for the voice she couldn't see a thing ...

'UGH!! Since my stupid tongue started this let's continue with it...because acting evil will make her remember me!!!'

Avic:" you became weak Alora...you never let anyone into your heart even Jane...so why those two?"

' I'M SO SORRYYYYY (T-T)'

Alora:" SHUT UP!!! AND SHOW YOURSELF DUMBASS!!!!" Alora shouted to the unknown voice

Avic:" I Don't Want to~" Avic looked at Alora's expression which had a disgusted look on it...she wanted to hit her head on the ground while apologizing to Alora.

Avic:" well since you didn't like my first gift...I think this one will make you glad....hahaha!!!".

'FUCK ME !!! I'M THE WORST!!!WAAAAAA' at this moment Avic wished to be erased from existence... ' okay since we are at it let me strengthen the barrier...it will help against the demon later...I will not let any kind of danger happen to Alora's mind'

Avic changed the scenery...Alora opened her eyes to look at her surrounding...she was horrified by it...''...no...no..NO!!!" Alora cried out...Even though Avic doesn't have a physical body... she felt something inside her aching with infinite Pain...'I'm sorry, so so sorry Alora...but please hold on...'

Avic looked at the scenery...There were no words to describe how this place...destruction was everywhere... Alora's beautiful and precious home was burning down...what made it was worse that three dead bodies were lying on the ground and another girl was laughing... it was Lilith...Avic looked at Alora who was broken by this memory...she also loathed this memory as much as Alora did.

Avic: "Haahhaha!!! What about now Do you like my gift?! Did it bring you"nice" memories?!"

'I don't know if I can last any longer...something is tearing me apart...Alora...'

Alora lowered her gaze to the ground she didn't want to look...

Avic:" now now this won't do Alora...you have to fully enjoy it fully...RIGHT?!"

'just a little bit more and the barrier will be fully completed and the demon would never EVER enter again... 'Avic sent a wave of power took control of Alora's body and raised her head so she can see everything...

Avic: "good girl~now why don't we recall what happened shall we?"

Avic stared at Alora who was chained by her powers...she was glaring hatefully at them...Avic knew that this glare was meant for her...

Avic's power shut Alora's mouth completely...so she couldn't stutter a word...

Avic changed the scenery once more to a picture of a beautiful house...and there was a beautiful garden in front of it...it contained a lot of gorgeous Roses and flowers...you could tell how it was carefully taken care of by its owners...and in the garden, three people were sitting there chatting with each other while drinking some tea...it was a relaxing sense...

But not for Avic...she was jealous of them...she also wanted to be close to Alora...just like them...but she knows that she can't...

Avic:" so how did all of this begin....let's see...young Alora runs away from the Nyx's in the 80 cycles...taking a ship to go to the other kingdom to try living life before getting killed...a sea monster attack you fight that monster with your Magic blah blah blah... and when it was about to hit you when you are not aware...two people help you... Who are Ares and Ethan...you defeat the monster together and save The ship...Ares tried talking to you and Ethan but you both ignored his existence...poor thing...2 days later the ship arrive at the main city harbor...you three go in different directions without even talking? Wow, now I'm really curious about how well everything will work out.

That's a lie, she just wants to see two things, Alora's smile and what technique did they use to be close to Alora.

Alora had a" how the fuck you don't know about this since you are in my head" expression...

Avic felt like it said the wrong words...she wanted to explain to her but then remembered she needs to act evil...she was nervous...she didn't want to destroy her villainous character...'Ah, what to do I fucked up even more...wait...let's try this '

Avic:" I-I just to let you know I could only enter the bad memories only to torment you so the good memories like this one I can't enter but right now we are here because I finally succeed sucking your conscience into your memories in the name of " torment you " so now I can finally access to all the memories a-and I didn't know what should I do to be able to talk to you...so I can only send nightmares to see you!!!"

Avic peeked at the frozen Alora and was anxious...

she saw Alora start fighting her power

Avic:" ah you want to say something wait..." Avic withdraws her power to let Alora talk...she really couldn't bring herself to hurt Alora...

(Author note: I know that some might question how does she hate hurting Alora but then she still sends her Nightmare? Well, simply you see Avic wants to protect Alora at any cost...even if it meant tormenting both of them, she hates when she sends those nightmares but she is forced to do it to protect Alora from the demon...I hope I made sense if you still didn't get it I will try my best to explain it to you)

Alora: "so you've sent me countless nightmares all of these years so you can just talk to me and get accessed to my memory?! You fucker!! You could have asked and I will let you enter asshole!!".

' I did it!!!'

Avic:" wait that works?" Avic played dumb...of course, she knows about this.

Alora:" of course it does!! This is my fucken head I can control it !! I'm the boss her-"

Avic:" "EH?! HOW DID YOU REMOVE THE POWER?!" Avic really wanted to praise her acting.

Alora:" I told you, Dumbass this is MY head so I AM the boss !!"

Avic wanted to laugh but she held it down and said

:" b-but you can't see me stupid!!! So you can never catch me!!"

Alora:" oho? Want me to try?"

??:"..." Avic was about to burst up...

Avic: "no...OK FINE BUT DON'T BE SO SURPRISED!!"

Avic played along with Alora to not break her...hopes...Avic turned into a ball of Light that appeared in front Of Alora...she started taking a form...a human figure emerged...ten minutes later Alora looked at the complete figure...it was herself...

Avic:" now how about this!! Are you shocked?! Hahaha!!"

'of course, she wouldn't be surprised...Alora is so smart she obviously noticed'

Alora:" stop it with that annoying laugh it doesn't make you evil but a joke."

Avic was hurt by Alora's words but she needed to continue her act, she acted like she was stricken dumb.

Alora:" and I'm not shocked...rather I kind of expected it but wasn't sure you know "

' I knew it '

Avic " Sobered up" and her face turned red and...started weeping and screaming while stomping on the ground like a spoiled rotten Brat " NOT FAIR NOT FAIR!!!! WAAAAAAH!!! YOU DESTROYED MY FUN!! "

' and thank God you did that or I would have done it myself '

Alora:" shut the fuck up...do you know how embarrassing I'm right now...seeing "myself" being stupid..."

"HOW DARE YOU CALL ME STUPID!!! IT'S LIKE CALLING YOURSELF STUPID!!"

' please call me whatever you want as long as you remember me '

Alora " never NEVER call yourself me because I ain't a spoiled brat not stupid like you"

"you-you!!!HUMPH!!!" Avic "didn't know how to respond to Alora's words "so she just closed her mouth to not become more "ashamed"...

"a-anyway how did you know?" Avic obviously knew it was easy to guess, but she wanted to see that proud look that Alora does when she's showing off her intelligence.

Alora: "I mean it's obvious, that demon itself herself couldn't get into my head even though it should be the easiest thing to do with the demonic magic...but that demon didn't...no...it should be couldn't not even once...so that means what inside my head is part of "me" "

Avic lowered her head to conceal her happiness...she was so happy...

Silent filled between them Alora glanced at the memory behind her and saw it stopped moving.

"...will you erase me now?" Avic asked...she didn't care what will happen to her after this she achieved pretty much everything she wished to do, she talked to Alora, she saw her, and she was sure that Alora wouldn't forget her after everything she have done.

Alora:"...Huh?" Alora was dumbfounded by this question...

"answer me "

Alora: "hmmm no I won't do that"

"hahaha as I expected- wait what?" Avic was dumbstruck by her answer and said" b-but why?! I-I was horrible to you for so long!!! I sent you millions of nightmares every time you sleep!!" this time she was not acting, she really didn't expect this!!

Alora:" well that's true...but if you didn't send me those nightmares I wouldn't be who am I right now...those nightmares made me stronger than before... and obviously you kind of protected me from the demon right? So my conclusion is that you are sending me nightmares to strengthen my mind so that demon doesn't enter...am I correct?

also, hate to say this but you are also "me" so if you're gone it will be like I'm killing myself. f? And I don't like that idea at all"

Avec was dazed by Alora's answer...she throw herself into Alora's arms and started sobbing and crying...Alora sighed and started comforting her.

Alora:" by the way, do you have a name because it's weird to call you "Alora" and it doesn't feel like we are one since we have different personalities"

"No I don't have... but you can name me!!"

Alora looked at the other shining eyes...she couldn't let it down...she started thinking She wasn't good at picking names...she sighed once more....after a while she came up with a name " what about "Avic"? it has the same meaning as my name "dream" "

" I LOVE IT FROM NOW ON I'M AVIC" Avic hugged Alora while giggling and laughing

Alora:" Okay that's enough get off" Avic ignored her and tightened her hug

Avic raised her head from Alora's chest and said:" since we are on good terms now can we continue the memory I want to know everything!!"

Alora:" okay fine!! I will let you see it and permit you to my memories alright?

Avic" YAY!!" Avic shouted excitedly

Alora:" you know you act like a child..."

Avic:" well then I'm the childish version of you but that doesn't matter let me see already!!"

"Avic...Avic woke up already!!! My legs feel numb!!"

Avic opened her eyes and saw Alora glaring at her...she smiled and got up from her lap...and hugged Alora's neck...

' I'm sorry Alora...but you got it wrong...in fact, I'm not 'you' I only took that look so it can leave an impression on you...but now since you wanted me to be 'you' I will do it...I will act as anything to get your favor...I'm so selfish...but I still want us to be together...and you also think about that right... because we are ONE...and your mind already became under my control...so I'M the boss...but I will never say that...I'm sure it will hurt your feelings...'

Avic lowered her head and hugged Alora with more strength...she didn't want Alora to see this crazy look in her eyes...she didn't want to scare her...

She doesn't know where did this deep obsession with Alora came from...but she knew...Alora is her everything...
