Twins...?

"We got this from the hospital you were born in, while we were gathering some information." The inspector said, handing over a file to me.

"what is this?" I ask.

"It's the details of your birth... at least that's what you thought." He adds. I open the file and flip through the pages, slowly digesting the information written in them.

"what is the meaning of this?" I ask in a low grave tune. "the truth." the inspector says, hands in his pockets.

"this is fake." I say in objection, standing on my feet the file landing on the table with a thud.

"I don't believe this." I say, turning around in frustration.

"Miss Luciana, it looks like you have a sibling and from your reaction... I can tell you've been oblivious of this fact for a very long time. Haven't you?" The inspector asks and I'm left in a stand still.

It can't be possible. I mean ... Twins...?

I fish my phone from the pocket of my coat. I dial the first number I can think of and soon the person on the other end finally picks up.

"hello Hayden, it's me. I need your help." I say, sure my voice sounded distressed.

"you okay?" he asked over the phone.

"could you cancel all my schedules for the day? I'm not coming." I say, with a deadpan tone on my last word.

"why? Something wrong?" he asks. "nothing much really. But there's a problem I'll need to deal with. Just try not to collapse would you?" I say with sarcasm in my voice, "I will." he says with a dead pan before hanging up.

A small smile appears on my face subconsciously as I put my phone back into my pockets.

I make my way for my car and drive off.

I get down and stare at the poster. On it was boldly written: 'Legacy City Hospital'.

'Legacy...' I mutter under my breath.

Well, this was it. And with that I make my way towards the hospital with hands in my pockets.
