Chapter 5: Revenge.

"Sure, sir, I will relay the message to the class," she bowed her head in respect and turned to leave depressingly.

"Wait," he called out to her and when she turned, he continued while removing his glasses," l don't want anyone getting the wrong message, when they see me with a gifted tie clip from a student...," he looked into her eyes and continued with a deep voice as if giving an underlying meaning," and not everyone who gifts you things mean it." He concluded while glancing at the tie clip on her but she momentarily caught that slight action of his. She looked confused and frowned lightly but nodded in understanding.

*In the girls restroom: " Tsk, that scumbag, ashiii."

" So now inform everyone and I will get back to you on the day, we would be going for the trip. I have to inform the school head first." Matteo finished with an easy going smile.

" Okay, I understand, sir" responded Amber.

"Ehm, could you call me May Williams, she's in the art department, right?" He asked innocently like he wanted to meet the new student, even after acting weirdly when he first saw her in class and even when he saw her name on the list.

" Yes, sir, I will," Amber answered and turned to leave completely oblivious to the third party that has been involved since she came in.

On the hallway leading to their block, Amber paused in the sea of students going out for their lunch break. "She is indeed more to it that meets the eyes," she tapped on her chin and walked away.

Fifteen minutes earlier.

After filling the form, having four classes of what wasn't new to her, sitting in the noisy classroom with so much annoyance, she turned to Nina and asked in a only audible for the both of them.

" Hey, who is in charge of the history class again?, why do I have to join this damn archeology club , how in heaven's name does it concern history," she asked exasperatedly.

Nina turned to look at her like she was a fool and said," The Italian dude is in charge and....", she paused, looked around them, with the other students busy with themselves she brought out the sound simulator from her back pack, that was as tiny as a bug and gives one to May and tells her to do what she's doing.

She places the simulator on the wall to her right and May places the one with her on the wall opposite Nina, on her right, Nina looks at her and said," At the count of two, press the in the middle, now, one tw...

" Wait, you're not planning on bombing the school right," joked May.

" Of course, I am," deadpanned Nina.

"Really," scoffed May.

Annoyed, Nina turned to her and said,"I will really love to have honour, of blasting this school in a foreign land, but it isn't part of my list, so now, one two," and on cue she and May,' click'.

An electric sound wave passed through them and it felt a bit quiet than normal.

"Was that a sound compressor, haaa,nice!!, when did you make it," asked May in amusement.

Tucking her short hair behind her ear, she smiles and said," Well... I have many of this, and some other stuff am working on. I actually made this for you because, you know, you hear more than a normal human being, anyways you can take it as your welcome gift," she finished trying to hide her smile after seeing the look of amusement that May was giving her like she was a kid glad she got straight A's.

She still felt swell that May was impressed. Nina looked up and saw the grateful look in her eyes and smirked.

May frowned a little immediately and said as she turned on her seat to look straight ahead," Stop smiling already, unless it will look suspicious, and for the record this was my idea I have something like this, well you can jazz it up by adding a hologram feature so as to confuse does looking at us."

She paused and looked at her and continued," But quite impressive on how you made it look tiny bugs on the wall. Thanks." she smiled and then with raise of her brow," Must I remind you that this is a renowned school with no stain, dent or bugs and this will look suspicious," May said pointing at the bug opposite with her chin," and most of the girls here are pampered chickens and will screech at such sight" she finished with a smug look on her face. Well that did nothing because, Nina opened her phone and tapped few buttons and May watched the bugs became invincible and returning the smug look back at May, she said," Boss, I learnt all this from you doesn't mean, I wouldn't think of my of own cool ideas, I added a new feature that can make it invincible to the human eye but with your cat eyes, you can actually, see it, so about the history club, you are going on a trip... she paused as she saw Amber taking her seat after returning to the class, Nina turned to May and saw that she had switched to her cat eyes looking sharp, piercing and green,' urghhh scary,' she shivered.

May turned to her right on cue with her normal eyes and asked," What?"

"Well, the thing is, you can stop whispering now, the bugs can help us to speak discreetly, so th.....",

" Of course, I know that, why did you pause, are you still scared of my eyes, what say it are still scared, uh, tell me, tell me, tell me," May cut her off and teased her.

" Stop it already, okay,'sighs', I am bit scared okay so don't change it so randomly please," she pleaded.

" Whatever, you've got to get used to it, even I can't help it, and I hope you've taken care of the cameras here," asked May.

Nina trailed her eyes on Amber who was still writing something on her desk and said," Yes, and speaking if cameras," she removed a tie clip from her bag a turned to her," Look the Italian dude is in charge of the history club or whatever, and this your chance to talk to him," she said in one breath.

"Seriously," May looked incredulous at the idea, I can always barged in on him anywhere to...."

"Talk, yeah, but sorry to bust your bubble he lives with his grandparents and it is quite dangerous, as we have so many eyes on us now," Nina said looking annoyed.

" No need for the long face, I am also trying to do things discreetly,okay, do you know how long I have been waiting for this to start?" May asked rage boiling in her too. 'Scoff'.

" I understand that, but I don't know if you want Amber on board, but I say, she's a good catch," Nina suggested and saw that May was staring intently at her," Stop that or she will look back," Nina scolded and right on cue Amber turned because she felt eyes on her.

May looked down at her phone like she typing and Nina started flipping the book in front of her, and then Amber squinted her eyes at the both of them and then the whole class and shrugged her shoulders and continued what she was doing.

" Not bad, I think she's good, so what's the plan," May said looking at Nina with amusement dancing in her eyes at the look she was giving her.

"You think she's good with just that!!, you are gonna test her properly cause we are not taking chances,"Nina concluded looking stern. She remembered what she had to undergo to earn May's trust. She shivered just thinking about it.

May said," You recommended her and I think she's cut for the chase, you have good eyes."

'Woah, okay, that was totally, unexpected,"Nina thought looking shocked.

" Uhm, well you have to give her this tie clip and tell her it suits her better cause she is going to Matteo's office soon to submit the list of those going for the trip."

"Okay, let's do it", May said.

Twenty minutes later.

On the hallway close to the girls restroom, Amber saw May coming towards her and she said,"Uhm, May that's not the way to the class, are you lost."

" Oh no am not, I got juice on my shirt, so I came to change," May answered with a smile.

" Oh, ok," Amber nodded looking at her outfit that was all black now," Well, Mr Russo will like to see, I know he acted weird in class when he saw you but do worry, he is usually like that, but you have to worry, so you don't get on his bad side," Amber explained.

'Pfftt', May muffled a laugh and muttered,' as if,miss me already,' she smirked lightly.

Amber lightly frowned and asked," Miss who?"

"Oh,please don't mind me, I was trying to remember your name, Miss.....?"

"It's Amber," she deadpanned.

*In the girls restroom: Nina facepalmed," Just switch it already."

" Oh, I meant your surname, cause you know you are the class rep." answered May innocently.

Frowning slightly, Amber said while shaking her head," Oh no, no, there's is no need to be so formal,we are classmates after all," she answered with a genuine smile.

Returning her smile, she walked towards her and in a blur, she was in front of her and held shoulder and said," Well, I won't keep you waiting, I will go answer Mr Russo, bye."

Matteo was typing on his laptop, still thinking of the living dead that was coming to his office, when.....

He looked up and saw the cause of his nightmare.

Speaking in a coquettish voice that was so unlike her, May greeted,"Good morning, Mr Russo, you sent for me."

'Gulp, Holy shit!!,' she is really alive.'

May walked in after locking the door and placing the sound bug in the wall close to it, she the said still looking Matteo in the eyes,"Nina, the cameras?"

" Good to go, boss," Nina responded.

"Great, now time for business," she said slumping on the seat in front of him.

Looking him in his bewildered eyes, she said," No need to shocked to see me, Matt, it's me, Mia but it's really May," she said playing with her fingers,she looked up and said," There's no need to record anything, it will not work at all, but anyways I want you in board my team."

"How are you even here and alive, I saw yo....," stuttered Matteo.

"Look aren't you supposed to be asking what team am talking about."

" How do I know, you're not an imposter," he fired back but seeing this girl in front of him, he knew, this was really not a figment of his imagination or an imposter but how was it possible?!!

"Really?," May asked holding down the rage in her, she toppled her chair and scared the living light out the man opposite her.

Suddenly, she nimbly climbed on the table and squatted in front of him while holding a fistful of his shirt in anger, she spat," You think, am an imposter, right, well bad news, I am back and I want you on my team whether you like it or not cause I am back for....," she paused, looking down on his shirt that was already soaking wet even with the air conditioning, she smirked looked and drawled out like the cat that she was," Revenge." She finished with a twinkle dancing in her eyes.

Holding up his chin, with her paws, a panther's, she gave him a little scratch with her claw," Understood?," she asked while cocking her head cutely looking nothing like the human girl, who came in minutes ago.

'Gulp,' " Understood." Matt said shaking in fear,'Do I have a choice, she's back!!" He whispered yelled in his head.

Getting off his desk, she leapt to the door, smiled, backing him, she turned and looked at him feeling disgusted," clean that up," 'urgghh' and meet me at the Moonlight Cafe at six, else.....? hmph."

BANG!!
