61 Days

17 year old Robin Banks is a walking bleeding heart. She was raised to be a perfectionist from her mother. Robin had never experienced love before, from her parents or even herself. Robin was strong, mentally and physically, but the only thing that made her weak was her Anorexia and sexual harassment. She was never the spitting image her parents wanted her to be, she knew that and accepted it. She skipped school and went to illegal races and one of her favorite hobbies, illegal boxing matches. She had a group of her own friends that actually liked her for her, but one of them wanted to be more and Robin couldn't accept it. She was a secretive-skeptical walking she-demon. She didn't care for feelings/emotions or love. She thought it was stupid because of her parents. She had hated any signs of affection from anyone. Never in her wildest dreams did she ever think someone could change her mind about it. But all of that had changed when Robin made a bet with her fake friends/posse to win over the heart of the new kid and dick bag of the school, Ashton Hart, in exchanged that they wouldn't tell people especially her parents about Robin's true self. Her bad-ass self. Problem was, Ashton and Robin had got on a nasty start from when they first met and Robin knew she would have to work for this one. But despite her little knowledge of love and affection she was in trouble. Winning over Ashton was harder than forgetting about her he-that-shall-not-be-named ex. Robin had secrets and Ashton had trust-issues, they both would never work. Robin only had two months to win Ashton over before her fake friends spread the news. 61 Days and Robin's secret would be kept or 61 Days and Robin's life would fall apart right before her eyes. Or 61 Days and Robin would fall for the guy she never even meant to fall for. Time will tell. Chapter 05

"Can you guys believe it?"

I sipped my water, ignoring my friends who were wannabe plastics. I swear, if there was an application, they would be breaking their ankles getting to the front. I on the other hand would be avoiding the imaginary line that would be filled with duplicates of them.

I scrolled down my phone pretending to do something while I tried blocking them out.

"Believe what?" asked one of them.

My posse loved building suspense, while I personally liked having someone just be straight forward and say whatever they have to. It just made something sound dramatic when it was usually stupid and pathetic.

"Jackson and I are finally dating!" exclaimed Megan.

I roll my eyes. Wow. She built up the suspense for that? Pfft, I'd rather watch a debate for the full hour than listen to these girls act like their boyfriends are cuter than an Abrecrombie and Fitch male model. My point proven.

Bethany narrowed her eyes at Megan, raising an eyebrow. "You and Jackson? Didn't he like just break up with Patrisha like yesterday?"

I almost spit out my water from laughter.

"Ugh, yeah. And?"

If I didn't stop, my nose would be spitting out the water I had just drank. I was dead. How naïve can one person be?

"Megan, you are literally asking to be cheating on and or heartbroken. Jackson is known to be a major player and fuck boy of the school." Lana explains.

I was on the edge of dying, actually I already died from Beth's clarification.

Jackson was bad news, known to be one of the biggest players and the school fuck boy. Megan was practically begging to be thrown to the curb.

She might as well do so since Jackson would do that tonight. I don't know why out of all the douche bags in the school, she had to choose Jackson.

Since tonight was the Halloween party of the century, hosted by Jackson's buddy Mitchell, at least that's what Mitch told everybody else, Jackson was definitely going to take advantage of Megan's state since she always drinks and gets intoxicated with alcohol.

He was going to take advantage of that and she didn't even seem to care.

"He's not who he's been perceived as. He actually cares about me and loves me." Megan stated, looking like a poor girl with puppy love in her eyes.

A laugh plays in my head. They just got together and she already thinks he loves her? Yup, she's definitely becoming the clingy obsessed girlfriend.

"You'll see. Tonight we'll hang out and when we do have sex, he won't leave me."

When Megan said won't, she had a very serious look on her face and brought her finger up and I almost felt bad. Her confidence and pride were blocking her vision and conscience.

It was kind of hilarious how confident she was, it was almost sad, but it was absolutely hysterical. The poor thing would find out tonight so it was half bad. Just half depressing. For her.

It was also kind of funny how she knew she and Jackson would swipe each other's no longer existing V-Card and put a condom to use. Man this girl is too naïve for a human, it's unbelievable.

"You wanna bet?" Bethany asked.

As I'm sipping my water, I look at Beth and Megan arching an eyebrow.

A smirk plays on Megan's lips and I roll my eyes at her and Bethany while Lana stays quiet.

Oh my god.

"Actually you know what, I do."

This dumb bitch.

"Alright. I bet Jackson will kick you to the curb once he gets what he wants out of you tonight."

"What exactly are you guys betting?" I asked, peaking a small interest into this dumb bet. Lana nods like she's asking to know also.

"Nothing, Megan will be heartbroken and my ego will boost." Did I just hear that right?

This is an example of my friends being fake towards each other. A great example.

"Yeah right! If anything, my point will be proven and you'll realize you're not always right!" Megan replied, overly-confident.

"You'll see," she paused and looked away from all three of us, "You'll all see." She added, which had sounded almost like a slight whisper.

"You and your guy's boyfriends are boring me." I said, getting up from my seat. "I'm gonna head out."

I started walking away, but I stopped when Lana asked, "Are you skipping school again?"

I turned around to look at her and shrugged.

"You tell me."

"Actually I have something I've been wanting to ask you for a while now, Robin." Bethany got up from her seat and looked me right in the eye.

I raised an eyebrow. "Okay? But make it quick cause I got somewhere I gotta be." I lied.

I just want to go home and get away from this drama. As much as I hate drama, but also kind of like how it can be interesting and make life not as boring as it seems I still get tired of it.

Especially if it's petty, stupid, and a waste of time.

"You seem to not be interested in dating, why?"

I open my mouth to lie about that since I'm obviously not going to tell her the real reason, but she barely gave me a second to answer.

"Are you lesbian or something?"

I scoffed. "Just because I'm not into dating doesn't make me a lesbian." I state, slyly changing the subject.

"But you don't seen interested in boys."

Bethany is persistent. She always reminded me of Blaze from her attitude to her persistence. I could picture seeing them getting along then randomly start fighting. I almost always laugh at that thought.

"I'm not interested in relationships, period. Not with guys nor girls." I reply. I was starting to get annoyed at this conversation.

Where was this even going?

"Really." Bethany crossed her arms and looked at Lana then Megan then me. A grin played on her lips.

"Well I've been wanting to put you to the test for a while now."

I arched an eyebrow at her reply. A while? Why didn't she just ask?

"Might as well make these next few months interesting." she said as she cracked her hands.

"If you really wanna prove that you're not then accept this. I bet you to make new kid fall for you."

I folded my arms at my chest. "A bet?"

She nodded and I looked at her again making sure she was being serious and I can tell she was.

"Okay, is there something to actually bet on this time?"

Bethany looked at Megan and smirked.

"If you win, you prove your point and get to make us do whatever you want."

Lana gave her a worried look and I was starting to like this idea.

"Good to know what my reward is."

"But." I looked straight into her eyes.

"If you lose, we tell everyone your secret. Including your parents."

My eyebrows raised and my eyes widened at her claim.

"And I mean who you truly are. A fake." She spat.

I hesitated once I opened my mouth to reply, but really had to think about this. I would lose everything I tried to hide for the past two years of my life. I didn't want to be selfish, but this meant more than just a couple of rumors about me.

One, the police could get involved if someone spread it to more people about the illegal races and boxing.

Two, attention would be put on me and I hate attention. It feels like there's just a convenient light on you like if you were on stage in a musical singing. That's what it feels and seems like to me. All the spot lights on you.

And three, my parents. If they found out who I truly was, they would never look at me the same. They would have to deal with the fact their daughter lied to them about herself for two years. No one just easily forgives and forgets that. No one.

I sighed as I thought about all the reasons why this was a terrible idea, but then I had an idea.

"And what if I don't agree to this?" I prompt.

"You want to find out?"

I look around my surroundings, unsure what to do. I am kind of curious to see what happens if I don't agree to it. But then again Bethany and the other two have dirt on me. I have nothing on them.

"So if I agree to this," I think of another word for bet since it sounds stupid to just say bet, "deal and do my part I can make you three do whatever?"

Bethany nods, "But don't forget about what we get to do when you don't pay your end of the deal." She replies, pronouncing deal slowly to me.

I sigh. There's not much of a choice, Beth would most likely tell people about my secret anyways. If anything this was more of

blackmailing than making a bet.

And here I am, left with no choice to accept this deal against my will while Bethany and the others watch me slowly suffer.

Bethany brings out her hand, waiting for me to shake it. Knowing that I'm about to accept this bet/deal/blackmail all in one just to keep a tiny secret sounds stupid now that I think about it.

But this secret would and could do more than just ruin my life if it ever gets out. My parents could never look at me and see me as the daughter they wanted me to grow up to be. I bet they would avoid me more than they already do. I almost never see them.

The last time I ever spoke to both or even one of them was like two weeks ago. Long I know right. I only spoke because my mom came home from the grocery store to put all the food away and then left after getting a phone call.

We hadn't spoken to each other since she and my dad are always working and I leave the house to either go watch a race, a fight, or to get fresh air and go off to my hide out.

A place  that helped me calm down and just relax. I never have left that place unhappy and unsettle.

One last sigh flies out of my mouth and I bring my hand forward and shake Bethany's hand.

"Deal." Is all that comes out of my dry throat.

Bethany's smirk falls to an amused grin.

Oh god, what did I just sign up for.

"Alright, now for more background information," She starts and looks over at Megan who is smirking and raising an eyebrow at her.

"You have two months to make the new kid fall for you. You have to get a kiss from him, you may not be the one to kiss him unless he kisses you back in return."

I nod having no idea who the new kid even was.

"You both must go on at least two dates and he asks." She states and I nod once again.

If I had known there were going to be specific things I had to do, I probably wouldn't have agreed to this.

"Lastly, the true test to see and know he fell for you is he will ask you to be his girlfriend."

I swallowed hard at that last part. How the hell was I going to make someone I don't even know fall for me in two months?! That's like barely anytime to question if a person even likes someone!

Also, I'm not a nice person. Unless the guy is into non-easy chicks, there's no way in hell I'm pulling this off. Megan couldn't even do this and she's practically a succubus! But only I can say that about her.

These two months were going to be hell and I was not ready for this.

I nod at all the requirements I'm told to do. This wasn't going to be as easy as I hoped it would be. I was not girlfriend material, I was more of demon material.

People could mistake me as Lucifer's son. That is if the devil even has a son. Who would he even fuck and who would bang him? Actually I don't want to know.

I shook Bethany's hand again and the amused grin she had on a face a while ago disappeared and was replaced with a smile.

"Wait, who's the new kid?"

Bethany, Megan, and Lana all walk away and Megan turns around saying, "Good luck."

"Good luck to you too and your high beliefs!" I yell, waving my hand at her and it takes her a while what I meant. I almost laughed and fell to the floor when she gave Beth a shocked face and groaned in annoyance.

We both would need good luck with Bethany's bets. Now I wish wishing I had Megan's.

I pull my phone out and sit down to play some games. I wanted to wait until my legs were no longer in pain to start waking home. P.E. had worn me out.

The bus and some other cars pull up and I look up to see people go inside their cars and some lead themselves and their friends to the bus. I shrugged and continued playing my game.

A little while later someone bumps into me from their side, catching me off guard and making me drop my phone. I look at my phone and I stare at the back of the person.

"Watch it!" I hiss as I pick up my phone and feel full of relief when I see no cracks on the screen.

The person turns around from what I see from the corner of my eye while I log back into my game.

I look up to see the dick bag that made me drop my phone and my throat goes dry when I see who the person is. You've got to be kidding me.

"Well, if it isn't Sidekick and her shitty attitude as usual."
