"Asuka, are you disappointed?" 

Asuka's face twisted in frustration as the Sword Saint's cold eyes bore into him. "No, I was just going to celebrate in my room. Glad you asked," he replied, sarcasm dripping from his words. "What do you even mean?"

The Sword Saint averted his gaze and walked past Asuka. He paused, looking up for a moment, deep in thought. "You see, Asuka, though their words were harsh, you deserved that. Think about the crime you did, that girl faced worse because of you. Think about that and reflect on it."

Asuka's frown deepened as he turned to stare at the Sword Saint's back, irritation building within him. Even the words seemed to flow through one ear and get out from the other. 

'This damn fucker is here to lecture me. I thought it was something important. Tsk! Just get it over with already. My mood was already bad now he is making it worse, and arguing will only drag this out. I'll agree with whatever he says for now and get going.'

Asuka's eyes sparkled with unshed tears. "You're right, sword saint. I made a terrible mistake that day. No denying it, it was a crime. To date, I am very ashamed of it. I wanted to make up for it, so I thought, what can I do? What can a sinful person like me even do? That's why I agreed to be a warden. I will protect people. I will serve humanity that way. I can lessen at least a quarter of this guilt."

The Sword Saint turned back, totally flattered, his eyes blinking in surprise. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. His gaze locked onto Asuka's tearful eyes.

'Did he really buy it?'

The Sword Saint moved closer, his voice mixed with concern and a hint of sorrow, thinking he had scolded too harshly. 

"You really think that way? If so, you don't have to worry. Just focus on your sword path. Listen, keep training. I'll try to do something about your potential. For a Warden, the potential grade is important, as it shows your growth rate, but it's not everything. Just trust your sword, and keep training. Don't let other's comments overwhelm you. Keep in mind that genuine training will never betray." He smiled and patted Asuka's back.

Asuka forced a fake smile. 'Now just let me go already.'

The Sword Saint took out a small black bracelet from his pocket and handed it to Asuka. "This is called a CAD. Channel your mana into it, and you can register. Then you'll be able to monitor all your stats and blessings." He paused. "It's an S-grade CAD, so it will also work as storage. You can put things up to 10 yards into it by ejecting it with your mana."

"Thanks. Now I'll get some rest. I'm a bit tired." Asuka bowed once and turned toward the trainee dorms.

"Wait!" The Sword Saint's previous smile changed to a serious look. "Asuka, I forgot to tell you something important."

Asuka stopped. "What is it?"

"That girl, what was her name? Ah, Jane! She's the same girl you molested, right?" The Sword Saint's eyes narrowed. "Well, beware. She awakened an S-grade blessing and potential. Many will try to get in her favour because she has a bright future ahead. Even the Black Dragons will favour her more. So be prepared. If you don't show merit, even the Kaito can't help you." With that, he turned and walked away.

Asuka's frown deepened with evident frustration. He mumbled under his breath, "Fuck! I knew she'd awaken strong. Now what about my peaceful life? huh... Let's just wait and see how bad the situation is first." He sighed, putting his hands into his pockets, he headed towards his room.

Though the Kaito had a mansion in the same city, trainees were required to remain on campus until the two-year course was over, ensuring their safety and preventing other guilds from poaching talent.

Asuka quickly climbed the stairs, taking a left turn. He walked to room 030, where the doors were connected to the trainees' CADs. So as Asuka touched the knob, it automatically unlocked.

Walking in, Asuka let out a surprised gasp. "Fuck, this room is luxurious, even better than my room in the mansion. They sure live up to their name as the fourth greatest guild."

He quickly checked the bathroom, following the common saying that a room's real standard is identified by the quality of the toilet and bathroom. "Oh, fuck, there's a jet! I missed it so much. I thought it didn't exist on Earth. The last time I used one was 300 years ago in Eldora when I was human. HAHA!!" Asuka let out a playful chuckle.

After finding the bathroom satisfying enough, he then checked the gallery, "This view is even better."

Finally, after stretching a bit, he jumped on the bed, bouncing like a child. It was a water bed. After resting his tired body for a bit, and getting some time alone, it was like all his frustration was gone.

Resting his head on the pillow, he focused his attention on the black bracelet. "Now, let's check my stats and blessing info. I don't have time. I have to plan everything already, or I can already imagine the whole class eating me alive." With that, he poured his mana into the CAD, and a blue, transparent status window appeared before him.

This blessing sends the user and everything within a 5-meter radius back in time by 5 seconds, with only the user retaining the memory of each loop. The loop continues until the user decides to stop it or their mana runs out.

Although there's no cooldown, mana is continuously consumed as long as the loop remains active.

The user gains enhanced awareness in combat, also the user can perceive the flow of mana around him. With Master's Insight Form 1, the user can also see through the mana streams of others and detect their physical and magical weaknesses.

Limitations:

- The detection of weaknesses and mana streams is only effective against opponents who are at most two grades higher than the user.

Asuka studied the status window intently. "Hmm, I guess the stats aren't that bad, considering this body has only been trained for 3 days." 

His eyes lingered on one particular blessing. "But the real game-changer is the Timekeeper's Hourglass. If used right, this blessing can even prove better than most S-tiers."

Moving his gaze to his second blessing, Asuka let out a sigh of regret. "If that faceless bastard had the other version, I would have chosen that over the hourglass anytime. It's already overpowered for an E-tier, but if I remember correctly, Hoden had the complete version. With just this ability, that talentless bastard rose to the Ruler's position. One of the strongest in Eldora." His brow furrowed. "The Eyes of the Blue Master were especially Overpowered. It could literally stop time until he blinked. There were also the Golden and Red Masters. Tsk, no point regretting it now, anyway."

Sighing, Asuka clicked the browser icon on the top right corner of his blue screen. CAD could do everything a smartphone could, surf the internet, send messages, and make calls.

With some free time on his hands, he decided to catch up on the world. After all, he knew very little about this new place.

Asuka opened the news feed and began scrolling through the latest updates.

"What the fuck? Second strongest warden? Ragnar?" Asuka's eyes widened in disbelief. He remembered Ragnar as a worthless criminal, a terrible father who couldn't even take care of his only child. "How could a guy like him be nominated for a director position?" He muttered, confusion clear on his face. Could it really be the same Ragnar he knew, or was this someone else with the same name?

Shaking his head, Asuka decided to ignore it for now. He'd dig into it later.

Asuka yawned as he skimmed through more news. His eyelids grew heavy, and he couldn't keep them open any longer. Turning off his CAD he rolled over to sleep.
