After I left the beach, regretfully giving a group of mental women more wine that they did not need, I went to the in-house gym to relieve some stress after a mentally exhausting day.

I overworked myself all day after the blunt but true comments Ghost and Adria made this morning. Hugo is coming into town in three days for a big meeting, it's a make-or-break situation and I need this to go well.

I walk up the stairs to the 4th floor instead of taking the elevator to get a few more minutes of a workout in. I open the door to the penthouse and all the lights are off. I quietly walk to my bedroom, the lights are also off in there with a beautiful Millie fast asleep in my bedroom. Seeing her peacefully lying in my bed could never get old. I head for the shower before I join her.

The sun coming from the balcony window shines right on my face waking me up.

"Ugh, what the fuck?" I say to myself turning over, Millie is still knocked out. I get up instead of trying to get some much-needed sleep because shit needs to be done.

"Don't go," Millie says reaching her hand out with eyes still closed

I bend down and kiss her head "I'm sorry baby, I have work to do."

"Mmm," she says sleepily.

"How are you feeling after last night?" I ask chuckling.

"I have a little headache, but better than I deserve." She says squinting her eyes not ready to wake up yet.

"What are your plans for today babe?" I ask her while pulling on my sweats that I put on after my shower from last night.

"I'm gonna go shopping with Steph later." She says groggily.

"Okay, stay available tonight though, I want to make you dinner," I say kissing her head again.

She opens one eye, the blue one, "what?!" She asks surprised.

I laugh, "what? I have many talents, don't act all surprised." I say jokingly offended.

"Okay, okay," she says and closes her beautiful blue eye.

I leave, letting her sleep that little headache of hers off and go to my office.

I'm sitting in my black chair stressing the fuck out as usual when my phone starts ringing, it's Julian.

"Yo, Julian, come up here man," I say and hang up before he even has a chance to reply.

I stand up waiting by the front door so he doesn't knock and wake up Millie. When his lazy ass finally makes it up here, I let him in and lead him with me to the office.

"Fuck man, I'm stressing about Hugo coming, it's all or nothing now," I say putting my head in my hands and then running my fingers through my hair like I always do when I'm stressed.

"We got this, man. Quit overthinking everything. You know Hugo, he likes making you jump through hoops before he caves on something. Just do whatever he asks and we'll be all good." Julian says like it's no big deal.

I lean back in my chair with my hands on my head looking to the ceiling.

I exhale loudly, "Yeah, I guess you're right."

"I am right, now quit sulking," Julian says way too laid back because he's not the one that has to deal with all of this bullshit, at least not as much as I do.

"So what's up with Millie?" He asks raising his eyebrows up and down like a fool.

I told my arms behind my head, "What's it to you?" I ask not really wanting to talk about this right now.

"Heard Adria went all ape shit." He says chuckling.

"Dude, she was a psychotic bitch. I literally had to hold her back from killing Millie." I tell him.

"Glad I only have to deal with one girl in my life, she may be crazy but nothing like that." Julian laughs shaking his head.

"Yeah, yeah," I say.

He stands up, smacking me on the back, "We got this man, I'll see you later," and leaves out the door.

"I hope we got this," I say to myself after he's gone.
