Chapter 30: "Zeph Teaches William"

The next day Zeph and William headed out, "you're getting to know these parts of the forest better and better," said William as Zeph lead the way, "we are here now," said Zeph.

"Whoa! What happened here?" asked William, He saw where Rose had fired her Light Blast, "let's just say Rose was here," said Zeph, "remind me not to get on her bad side," said William, "me too," said Zeph.

"Let's begin, draw out your sword, you have to feel the air inside you and around you, concentrate on gathering it and then release it," said Zeph.

William did as Zeph said.

William then slowly lifted the sword over his head and said, "ok, I think I have it," as he brings the sword down he said "Air Slash," a couple of trees were split in two from the attack, Zeph thought to himself, "that was a strong attack, he actually got it on his first try."

"That was good," said Zeph.

"Ok let me try another one," said William as he held his sword diagonally and flashes it, releasing an even stronger Air Slash, "Try to do this," said Zeph, Zeph kept vanishing and reappearing, " how did you do that?" asked William, I used Air Manipulation to move really fast, speed step I like to call it, William then tried and got it on his first attempt.

"Ok check this out Zeph, Air Slash," said William after releasing the attack, he used speed step and appeared above where he was standing and said "Air Slash," again creating a simultaneous attack, "You are getting the hang of it," said Zeph, and for the rest of that day, William practiced all Zeph had thought him.

The following day after they had breakfast, "we have one more thing to accomplish," said Zeph, "yes let's do this," said William, "do you remember what had caused you to be taken over by possession?" asked Zeph.

"Yeah, I had a near-death experience I think, I was unconscious at first, I felt lost I then heard the screams of the people as they were been attacked by Lt Jack, I had to save them, my determination had spiked and then the power came out," said William.

"So your drive was determination, the will to save, try and concentrate on that emotion, William then held the sword out in front of him pointing it to the ground, and closed his eyes, nothing was happening, "it's not working I can't feel anything," said William "oh ok try it again," said Zeph.

William then pointed his sword out in front of him, as he was concentrating he was also taking deep breaths and slowly exhaling, William then saw the blue energy coming towards him, it wrapped around him and when he opened his eyes they were glowing, the blue energy was wrapped around his right arm, "it's still resisting me, it's trying to overpower me," said William.

"Don't let it, try to merge with it," said Zeph, "I'm trying but," said William, the energy just disintegrated along with some of his energy, William then fell to his knees, "I won't give up even it takes me all day, I'll get it right no matter what," said William as he helped himself up.

"Ok let's go again," said William as he goes back into position, he saw the blue energy again but this time it wasn't coming at him, so he made his way towards it until it was at arm's length away from him he stretched out his hand and touched it.

The energy started to spread all over him, he was lost in it until he started to absorb the energy he then opened his eyes, with the blue energy wrapped around his arm he said "Zeph I've got it", William had successfully merged with the energy, "yes!" said Zeph, "this power is really incredible, Zeph let's spar for a bit," said William.

"Ok," said Zeph he then tapped in possession.

Zeph fires a barrage of Air Arrows at William, William then said, "Plunging Breaker," as the wave of water counters the air arrows, Zeph then used Solid Air Sphere to create a shield to cover himself from the excess water, William then appeared before him and strikes the shield it cracks but Zeph then compressed the air to make the shield stronger, William then says, "Air Slash: Cross Cut" and shatters the shield, "Blast of Wind" said Zeph a mighty gust of wind pushed away everything around him, William then stabbed his sword into the ground as he was being pushed away and said, "Water Boost".

Zeph was then propelled into the air by William's attack, "you caught me off guard with that one," said Zeph as he was in the air, William then used speed step to make his way into the air where Zeph was as he got closer he swings his sword at him but Zeph used the Bow to block it and in that instant.

They both saw a flashback of two persons fighting, one had the bow Zeph has and the other had the sword William has.

Then it went away, "what was that just now?," William thought to himself, "Blast of Wind," said Zeph, pushing William down to the ground, "I'm almost at my limit I can feel the power receding, he should be too I think," said William.

"Let's wrap this up," said Zeph as he points the bow towards William, "here he comes," said William as he positions himself to attack, "Storm Arrows: Rage of Tempest," said Zeph, "Reef Breaker," said William, both attacks crashed and exploded and started to fall like rain, the possession had left them both, William was pleased, he sat down laughing and then laid down on the ground, " that was truly incredible," said William as it rained on his face while Zeph was descending he thought to himself "he really is a fast learner."

As William was laying there he felt the ring pulsating as he lifted his hand up to look at it he was in the place where he met his father, "isn't this where I met my dad? It seems different now, dad?" said William, "Son I was trying to reach out to you but something was blocking me, what happened?" asked King Cresswell.

"Oh it was just a small issue but my friends and I sorted it out, it's good to have you back," said William, "good to know, it seems like you are making stronger bonds, keep getting stronger my son," said King Cresswell.

"Ok dad I will," said William.

As he came back to reality he sat up, " it doesn't hurt as much as it did the first time I used it," said William to Zeph, "I have gotten used to the feeling so it doesn't bother me much anymore," said Zeph.
