Violin

Sona Sitri and Tsubaki Shinra looked at the house in front of them . They both made an audible gasp as they saw a very familiar head at the front lawn of the house.

The head was held by a pole covered in dry blood and the expression of the face was full of fear. This was Dohnaseek's head . Behind them humans passed them minding their own business . This came to show that only supernatural beings could see.

Rias had mentioned that one of the fallen angels had been killed brutally and they did not know who . Just the pictures of yesterday made them shudder on what brutal creature would accomplish this and today this ? To say that Sona and Tsubaki now subconsciously feared Isamu would be an understatement.

Sona however steeled her nerves and went to the door .

KNOCK KNOCK

She knocked on the door twice . There was no response. She knocked again but still no response. She knew he was there because a violin was being played.

" Perhaps we should come back at a later time kaichou " Tsubaki coerced the student council president but she shook her head.

" No , I came all the way here and I am not leaving until my work is done. "

She said this then opened the door. Tsubaki sighed before following her master. The house was clean and when they reached the sitting room , they could see Isamu on the middle of it playing the violin.

Next to him , stuck on the floor was a katana . He wore his pajamas and his hair was ragged . It seemed that he had just woken up at that moment .

Sona and Tsubaki paused , not because of the sword next to him but because of the harmonious tune from the violin. They could not identify the tune from it . It seemed to be original .

The magnificence of the sound , the melody , the emotions it conveyed . Everything was simply perfect. Sona approached Isamu but once she reached a certain distance , his head slightly raised and the melodious tune became horrible.

It was a mix of the static sound and the high pitch screeching that left any normal being with a headache let alone a devil who had enhanced hearing. Sona took a step back after hearing that sound and the melodious tune resumed as if nothing happened.

After a few minutes Isamu finally stopped playing . He tossed the violin to the couch which it softly landed on. He turned to look at the two , a frown clearly evident in his face .

" What do you want ? " He asked. His tone was the same kind a person talked to a nuisance.

Sona spoke first.

" We came to check on your well being and to ask you to come back to school . It has been a week and we believe that ..... "

" For the love of God can you be sympathetic ?" Isamu asked. The two recoiled in pain after hearing the word ' God '

" But I guess that is to be expected given your heritage. Devils really are merciless creatures " Isamu commented.

Sona looked at Tsubaki for help.

Tsubaki stepped forward .

" I am sorry for kaichou's bluntness . She does not do well with feelings. What we meant is we are quite sorry for your lose and we were hoping for you to return to school so that you may feel comfort with friends. " Tsubaki said.

" No what you're hoping for is to easily monitor a potential threat . "

" That's ....."

" Fine , let's make a deal " Isamu said.

" What kind ?" Sona frowned. She hated games but if it wasn't much of a hassle it would be beneficial.

" It's simple you pick a game of your choosing . It can be any kind . You win the game I go back to school and not only that I join the peerage of your choosing but if you lose... Hmmm "

Isamu gave out a thought . To be honest he was bored with training all day and Juzo's passing no longer affected him . What could be fun ?

Isamu looked at the two with a lustful gaze gaze . They were both beautiful but a one night stand would be fun for one day then boring but publicly dating the heiress of Sitri household? Now that would be fun . He could already envision the amount of publicity his little stunt would make.

The two shuddered at his gaze .

" That's right how about you Sona date me for 6 months. It would be public of course but privately the choice is yours. I won't force you to do anything but publicly as far as the world is concerned we are a couple. "

" What ?!! "

" Do you know who I am ?" Sona asked.

" Sona Sitri , the heir to the Sitri household and sister to Serafall right ? " Isamu summarized.

The two looked at him with suspiscion. Isamu shrugged.

" That poor fallen angel cracked " Isamu said and the two slightly shivered.

However if he was really speaking the truth he remembered it from his first life. The more he cultivated the clearer his previous memories became.

" So what do you say Sitri heir , want to take a gamble ?" Isamu asked.

Sona hesitated . She felt there was something he was hiding.

" I can choose any game right ?"

Isamu nodded his head.

" And you won't cheat ? "

" We can ask your queen to be the judge if that is what you are afraid of " Isamu said.

Tsubaki leaned to Sona's ear.

" You can't be serious right ? This is absurd kaichou " Tsubaki tried to advise.

" Trust me Tsubaki , he can't cheat in chess and when I win we can join him to our peerage. He would make for a strong knight don't you think ?"

Tsubaki was quiet . At the end of it all what drove Sona to accepting the challenge was the greed of acquiring Isamu . No ordinary person could take down Dohnaseek much less in such odd fashion .

" I accept . " Sona confidently said.

" Good , and what game will you be picking ?" Isamu asked.

" Chess " Sona was confident in her choice , her whole face said it.

Isamu sighed in defeat making the girl further proud.

" How about a different game ?" He asked.

" No chess is my final choice or do you want to just accept defeat. " Sona asked mockingly.

" Well .... fine let's play " Isamu said dejectedly .

Sona smiled and used magic to summon a chess board on his table. She sat one end and Isamu sat on the other.

Sona looked quite excited and Isamu changed his expression to normal. He did not portray any emotion in his face.

However inwardly he had the greatest maniacal grin one could muster. He after all had spent hundreds of years in his previous life attempting all forms of sports and games to relieve his boredom and his best was chess. It was such an unpredictable game where it never got boring no matter what .

Quote of the day : We can do this the easy way or the haaard way , the choice is yours
