The moon Clayman summoned intensified and morphed bright red. Striking beams of moonlight shuttled down from behind his head and met with the holy aura that Yuna now exhumed. As if water had hit a piping hot surface, the light sizzled and popped under the pressure of both Magicule densities meeting. The Primordial of Yellow jumped back towards Clayman with ferocity but quickly found herself submerged in ghosts up to her neck again, the constant clattering clawing of the Wights tearing into her form. They did little damage but it tied her up in endless combat.
Lesser Demons still fought Ghosts and various other undead, victory assured in long term but far away short term. Terrain constantly shifted as this time the lava terrain was switched with a massive tidal wave of water pouring down over the top of everything and trying to whisk away anything it touched. Yuna and Clayman noticed this immediately and used their own methods to avoid it. Yuna strained her wings, pulling them straight back before slapping them down to create a moment of vast upwards momentum. Clayman used his extended claws and increased strength to pierce his hands into some stone platforms, thus cementing himself to the structure.
"ARGH! Fucking terrain...!"
Clayman roared in anger as the water slapped into him, cutting off any further words he was about to exclaim. Meanwhile Yuna hovered in mid-air, her wings odiously flapping, keeping her aloft as she scanned below her, looking for Clayman. The water slowly lessened and collected at the bottom of the arena, only some stone blocks and jutting rock landscaped being evident signs of dry land. Gazing where he once was she couldn't see anything, the water being clear enough to see through.
"I'd say: 'Drown you fucker'... But he fucking can't..."
Halo radiating divine energy she found only a few of the lesser demons had survived and they were being picked off my the incorporeal forms of the ghosts and whights who had sustained very little damage. Her eye twitched as her patience for playing with her 'food' was quickly decimating. A splash of water drew her attention as she found the Primordial of Yellow pull herself to the slab of stone close to where she had emerged. The Primordial's hand raised upwards as a thumbs up was given.
"I'm fine. Totally fine...! GUY? Did you have to drop a fucking lake on top of my head?"
There was no response, Yuna chuckling as another splash emerged, this time from right below her. Blinking in surprise she was grabbed by her feet and dragged down, Clayman clawing into her left calf and right thigh. Blood spitted down onto his face as ecstasy glimmered over his features.
"You taste delicious... Luckily you'll be my bitch to have whenever I want after this."
Her eyes that were now suns, burned white-hot. Radiant indignance glowed out of her and projected downwards as demonic energy slowly collected, one half of her being smothered in shadow, the other in pure white sunlight. His right hand began to sizzle under the intensity of radiant energy, the magicules themselves acting as a conduit for the annihilation of the sun's fusion itself.
"I am glad that you got close enough."
Time was not given to Clayman who only registered the situation he had put him self in when her vice-like hands clamped into his ribs, her fingers inserted up to the base inside of him. Sickly red blood oozed from the holes her digits filled, their smell sulphurous and metallic. Plasma. Enough was said with that. Sickly gasps and cajoled cries of pain began to wheeze into the arena as a purely white-silver liquid started to copiously drown him from the inside out. In the same time-span the demonic side of her latched onto his head and began to slowly pierce precise sections of his skull from his flesh, the brain fluids spirting out as his eyes rolled back up into his head.
"I can't forget what I said I would do."
Lifting him up with her hands that were buried into his ribs she slowly took out her right hand and reached down for his banana and coconuts were. With a sonorous cry of someone losing something most precious to them, a ripping came and in her hands she held his smashed fruits, the banana being the only one somewhat functional. And, just as she promised, she shoved it up his ass and then took it out, feeding it to him as her right hand then pierced into his heart and poured more plasma in there.
"This is for being a cunt. I do hope oblivion enjoys erasing your memories."
With a final slimy receding, her hands let go of the slowly dying corpse of a man. Falling, his body turned on its axis, his mouth filled with himself as the deranged body slammed into the water, like a body slapping against concrete from a skyscraper. Silence. Silence reigned supreme at this moment as soon the arena began to clear, the terrain slinking back down. Water seeped down into the sand and disappeared, not a fragment of wetness surviving the magic of Guy.
*CLAP* , *CLAP , *CLAP*
No one clapped except Guy, who was now walking through the air, his feet landing on thin sheets of pressurised air. Everyone else gazed at him and followed every step he took. Gradually he walked next to Yuna, who was now fully in her angel form, her wings keeping her aloft as her halo glimmered in multi-coloured hues, her white power from before being only a small portion of the powers she had access to.
"I hereby accept you into the council of Demon Lords. As of this moment you are exempt from being challenged by the next candidate. Clear."
At his last word the entire Arena turned back into its spotless nature, Clayman's figure teleporting back to his seat where plasma and blood began to seep from his various wounds. His soul was gone and consumed, his very existence gone from this plane. Ignoring this however, Ainz stood. His form was draped in dread and doom. The staff in his hand was moving actively and slither across itself as the gems gleamed in elemental fury.
"It is my turn, yes?"
Guy patted Yuna on the shoulder and shunted her out of the Arena, back to where she was previously sitting, his body rotating to regard the skeleton that wanted to call itself a Demon Lord. Undead were rare but not a new thing, thus he wasn't phased and instead looked utterly serene.
"Indeed. Choose your opponent."
Guy vanished and re-emerged on his own throne, his presence disappearing a reappearing along with his teleportation. His right hand rested on his throne's armrest as his finger cupped the side of his face, the thumb placed under the chin. Rings of pure decadence adorned each finger and shined, in contrast to the distinctly bored look he was now revealing, the fun 'over' for him.
...
Sitting there and watching the entire fight all I could say was...
"DAMN. Yuna is pissed."
She was utterly brutal and seeing her rip his bollocks off and then doing what she did, was disturbing. Even for a woman who didn't have those parts, it was disturbing. Even Rimuru had grimaced in pain and instinctually grasped his privates, as did most of the other men in the room. Cromwell even did it, his usual emotionless state belayed by the sight of another man's 'package' being ripped off.
As Yuna sat beside me I could feel the power rippling off of her. She was not at my level or Guy's but it was certainly frightening to see the abilities she had at her disposal. Whilst she mainly focused in defence, her attack powers were also scary. She was like a smaller less massive Escanor from the 7 Deadly Sins except she was also half demon and was nowhere near the level of pride or power that he had. Still, the power of the sun was frightening to all who couldn't shield themselves from radiation or extreme heat. Even then, Clayman had the Heat resistance skill and it still failed him hard when dealing with plasma flooding into his body.
'Just goes to show that skills of all sorts aren't infallible...'
Yeah, perhaps its better that instead of focussing on skills you are focussing on Cultivation and magic usage...
'If Raistlin was correct, than all Skills are, are applications of magicules, concepts and essences. I could replicate them and enhance them for myself, potentially.'
Easier said than done.
Ainz stood up and began to scan the entire ensemble of Demon Lords for him to choose from, including me and Rimuru. He didn't choose either of us though as we had called truce. Bereft of any good choices he simply pointed at Roy Valentin, Luminous's cover for her rule, the actual Luminous being the maid that was set just behind Roy. I sighed and felt that the universe was fucking with us now... We had made an 'alliance' with Luminous but also Truced with Ainz, it was an awkward arrangement, but not one we couldn't profit from. If Ainz lost then I could gain upper hand in negotiations with him in future, for information. If Luminous Lost than I could do the same with that side but also possibly form closer relations.
Ainz began to fly and moved through the shield in the middle of the room. At the same time Roy looked like he was panicking until the maid beside him tapped his shoulder, her form morphing from the totally normal looking maid servant into her beautiful teenage self. Heterochromatic eyes peeked out from under her greyish-blue hair, red and blue, the gait she used being slow and paced, as if she were a predator hunting her prey.
"Tsk, Guy, you know i hate showing myself..."
"Too bad, get going."
Guy wasn't taking shit today and just waved her off with his left hand, causing her to scowl at him as she walked through the shield and stood on the air, pressurised air platforms allowing her to do so. It was a very easy magic to learn I agreed but why did everyone have to use it? The strategic value of it was zilch and it lack the mobility of wings that granted dodging capabilities and didn't need concentration.
"The fight shall start whenever you are both ready... Just say when."
The Arena formed all of the terrain again but in a differing pattern this time, Ice being the main component of this battlefield as the air above a certain point was filled with poisons. It seemed Guy only liked flying combat up to a certain point. The funny thing though was that these two were immune to poisons, Ainz being an Overlord and Luminous being a Vampire Lord/God.
"Silviana, who do we want to win?"
Ruphia curiously asked as her eyes switched between Luminous and Ainz. Her bearing was rather feverish, as if she was hungry for combat as well but I knew I could also just be misunderstanding her emotions and mistaking battle-lust for actual lust.
"Either side would be good. We benefit in negotiation with whoever loses because they won't be a Demon Lord."
Diablo looked over to me and Ruphia, nodding his head and smiling a touch as he leaned down and began whispering to Rimuru about what I was speaking about. Nodding at his butler's words Rimuru looked at me and gave me a small thumbs up. The yellow primordial behind Yuna also leant down and told her about what I was speaking about. Guy could hear me as well so I didn't care about privacy as much, people would already know. Yuna reacted rather differently however and was simply gazing at Luminous, her teeth lightly biting into her lips as her eyes intently scanned the Vampire woman.
'For fuck's sakes... She's interested in Luminous...'
Could work out in your favour if Luminous loses. She could get close to Yuna and be brought into the nation's sphere of influence.
'Good point. We'll have to see.'
