Hovering towards the middle stage that this man called Guy had setup for the fights I found myself gazing over at my opponent. She was an interesting being and ultimately was an undead, something I could easily detect with my Overlord species and the aspects of the five levels of eclipse that I had gained in Yggdrasil. A vampire, a hard foe for a necromancer to usually defeat due to the elemental similarities between the damaging abilities, IE, the vampire could heal from my negative energy. Negative Energy Flood or beam was off the table for this fight.

Reality Slash is a reliable spell that would definitely puncture any Defense that she could, conceivably show. Still, caution is best...

'Body of Effulgent Beryl'

' Haste'

' Anti-Life Cocoon'

' Bless of Magic Caster'

' Complete Invisibility'

' Triplet Maximize Magic, Explosive Land Mine'

' Triplet Maximize Magic, Drifting Master Mine'

' False Data: Life'

' False Data: Mana'

' Greater Magic Seal: Heavenly Aura'

' Indomitability'

'My preparations are ready... The mines will allow me to maintain distance and cast spells to test her resistances. I do not know her abilities, thus I cannot expect her not to have divine spells. Hmmm, I'll leave it at this for now, using mana that may or may not be useful would be a waste...'

The Vampire stood across from me, her face rather confident despite the façade she tried to show. Semi-arrogant and cocky, she would be easy to emotionally destabilise if I found a way to draw upon her anger. A rash enemy is one who makes mistakes, an angered enemy is one who forgets details. I was using the guild weapon for this fight, it had recently gotten an upgrade since I had ascended, some boon gained due to the appearance of Silviana's ring. Curiosity still filled me about that relic but it would have to wait until such a time that we become allies or neutral.

"The Fight will start when Silviana shoots off a fireball above your heads."

The man known as Guy spoke aloud through the shield he had created. A curious magic that bent space like a reality slash but manifested from fragments into a thin controlled substance akin to water and shaped. I would have to research it at some stage. The Vampire standing opposite me turned her head in Silviana's direction as the woman and her honestly attractive assets frowned slightly towards both of us. I sensed some sort of tension from her but it was masked very easily as her partner, the demon lord Milim waved at her, a smile forming on her face. Her ring, or should I call it a metallic glove now? Was shining in obsidian light with a mildly annoying gem on the back of her hand, why it was annoying I didn't know, but the staff sent feeling such as that to me.

"Oi. Skeleton."

The Vampire spoke to me in a rather annoyed tone that grated on my 'nerves' a little... But seeming how she was willing to speak, perhaps there was something to gleam.

"Ainz Ooal Gown is my name, not skeleton."

"Yeah, whatever. Are you sure you don't wish to give up now and join me as a subordinate?"

Sounds of stone cracking from where I was originally sitting resounded, Albedo obviously getting angered by the woman's obvious attempts to elicit an emotional response. I mean, she was so obvious about her intentions that falling for them like that would be utter foolishness... Unless one were to use that expectation to gain an edge.

"Fuck off. I will not be a servant to any lesser undead... I am afraid that even my zombies are more pure than you, so, I should ask you. Do you wish to become my subordinate?"

Her fangs extended in anger as her heterochromatic eyes glowed in intensity. 'Heh, she is too easy to stimulate... genuine anger, not faked. Unless...' Narrowing my vision with no physical change on my exterior I saw a faint movement along the edges and curves of the form. She was using illusion to attempt to draw my ire and waste my mana.

Silviana stood up from her throne and raised a pinkie into the air, a small bead of fire shooting out in a straight line before it exploded mere centimetres away from each of our heads. Fire cascaded into embers that trickled from the sky above us like rain, several explosions radiating outwards as expulsions of air blasted onto the ground beneath from the pressure of the mines I had set. My magic had received several benefits since the ascension and one of them was the potency of my maximize magics and buffing spells. Necromancers were always casters that used ADS to buffer the enemy as they cast death spells, unfortunately against a vampire who could possibly summon hundreds of familiars it was semi-useless.

More explosions radiated from my right as my greater mine was set off. My invisibility was something she could see through, but... When using illusions, would she be able to tell what is the invisible me or not? A thing I wished to put to the test.

'Fog Cloud'

A dense bilious fog summoned itself in the middle of the area as I cast several illusion spells to mimic my own stats and appearance, weaving them through the fog. Once one was punctured through I would use an area of effect and recreate the illusion. Deception being integral against vampires, a method I had thought of using against Shalltear if she ever lost control; which was unlikely.

One of my illusions dropped out as a blade pierced through its head. In an instant I responded.

'Reality Slash'

A perfectly invisible wave of energy flowed out from my skeletal hand as it formed into an instantaneous slash of pure spatial tearing power that reciprocated a scream from the vampire. Another illusion was placed elsewhere in the fog as I moved all of the illusions at the same time, creating the illusion that I was moving. Unfortunately this move was seen through hastily as she leapt towards me properly now, her eyes glowing in white energy, similar to the previous fight where the 'Yuna' figure had switched into an angel.

'Activate: Greater Magic Seal: Heavenly Aura '

Similar white holy powers burst from me now as my resistances kicked in and my demon lord regeneration kicked in. It was a wonderful skill given by ascension, one that many underestimated in sheer power. With this skill one could use previously suicidal abilities to oneself, without fear of as much repercussion. The exterior of my bones sizzled for a few moments but calmed immediately as the resistance I had to holy damage was nullified. I still acted as if it hurt me however, in an attempt to bait her into thinking I was vulnerable to it. I didn't know if the act had worked or not because she jumped backwards, her face burned a little but healing just as quickly to mine. Her expression was emotionless though, something which made me wary of presuming resistance or weakness...

'She is a difficult opponent. Perhaps I should create some more mines, pepper her with different forms of magic and observe how fast she recovers from it?'

"Stop playing you bastard!"

Her voice shrieked over the arena but I ignored her nonsensical request. Who would cease their plan just because some low IQ idiot who couldn't comprehend it asked? Her intelligence was very good, no doubt, but she was behind me in PVP... Honestly she was rushing around wasting her mana without consideration.

' Triplet Maximize Magic, Explosive Land Mine'

' Triplet Maximize Magic, Drifting Master Mine'

Casting the mines I then began to throw fireballs and minor magic at her. Most didn't work against her but there were some that slowed her down. Fire magic was useless, holy magic was useless, demonic energy; as it was called here, was useless... The only elements that affected her were lightning and physical damage. Sunlight was yet to be tested but I didn't have many spells that I could use in that branch because of the damage it could do to my forces in many cases. The 10th spell would utterly devastate most things, so that was a last resort. Time stop was a good idea to see if she had time resistance or not, a useful piece of information in the case of studying demon lords around her level.

"Fine... You don't wish to fight like a man? Then let me show you what magic can do."

Her words made my senses ooze danger within moments as I felt a vice-like grip try to grasp at my very essence. Unease on an existential level washed over me as I immediately dodged out of the way with haste, using blink spells to create distance between whatever she was using and myself. This was new and disconcerting... The next spell I used was a skeletal wall, placing it in front of the feeling. Dust and ashes were all that remained after I summoned it, the undead utterly vanquished into base atoms. Spell, or whatever it was, it was affective and concerned me greatly. Death had never been so close to me since I came to this world.

'I have no choice... I have to use it or she could possibly use it again...'

'The Goal of All Life is Death- (Widen Magic) Cry of the Banshee'

A horrific scream that seemed to come from the underworld itself, the abyss for this world, blasted outwards. The walls cracked and condensed against themselves as rubble started to fall. Dust and sand on the ground was blasted upwards by the shockwave of the energy behind the sounds. Along with this sound burrowed a deep void-black energy, seeped in grey mist that hinted at deeper purple recesses. The shield rebounded the sound back onto the area, protecting those that were seated outside, but ultimately increasing the damage that could be dealt against my opponent, a fortunate bonus to my current situation despite it not being planned.

Holding still for several moments I felt the weight of stillness and stagnation in the air immediately. My opponent had no life to be snuffed but with this usage of The Goal of All Life is Death it would affect undead also, a spell truly deadly against all undead. Naturally the caster was excluded due to it being tuned to my own magic signal.

'She may have died...?'

"Sup fucker? Think that killed me?"

A razor sharp sword made entirely of red scales which glowed an ominous crimson, as if it had been feasting on blood for most of its existence, slipped from the fog towards me. It had a curious rapier shaped cross guard but was eloquent despite the length of the blade with such a bottom heavy guard.

'Interesting... Instant Death immunity?'

I hope you all enjoy this... It took a lot of research to get it sounding properly and to get the abilities and capabilities squared for a proper match up. Seriously I spent hours...

Please comment, give stones, review... Idk, i am tired. Have a good day or night!
