Chapter 28. Royal Sacrifice

Looking ahead, Ace saw that there was an expensive looking ship being surrounded by 5 marine ships.

Feeling with his haki, he found that the marine captains weren't strong, they were about the same level as Yennow, spikewards and Gaga.

But there was one person on the expensive looking ship that was just a bit weaker than Law in haki, which surprised Ace.

On the leading marine ship, captain Lalanga looked serious.

"Are you sure it's them?" Captain Lalanga asked.

"Yes sir, it's the Demon Ace pirates, led by Flame Emperor Ace! Even captain Smoker couldn't catch him!" The right hand man of Captain Lalanga said nervously.

Captain Lalanga looked at his prey with a frown, the expensive looking ship they chased, belonged to an exiled prince. And if he caught this little prince, then he might get a raise....

But a simple mission like this suddenly took a turn when a super rookie arrived.

"Tsk, not even changing routes when they see five marine ships, they are flirting with death!" Captain Lalanga said as he took out a speaker.

"Captain, it's 'courting with death!" The right man hand whispered to correct him.

"They have eyes but can't see mount marineford!" Lalanga said.

"Pirate scum, this is a restricted area, turn around and leave, unless you want things to get ugly!" Captain Lalanga shouted into the speaker which carried his words to the Black Pearl.

Captain Lalanga waited for a few seconds but got surprised as the black pearl didn't change routes.

"Captain... Should we fight them? Flame Emperor Ace has 300,000,000 berry bounty, I don't think we can fight them!" The right hand man said nervously.

"They don't know that!" Let's pretend!" Captain Lalanga responded.

"Pirates! I am Captain Lalanga, famous as the uncrowned Admiral of the marines! Let me warm you, Im feeling precious today! So I'll let you off!"

"Captain, I think you mean "feeling gracious""

Ace saw through their lies.

"Captain, should we really put our noses were it doesn't belong?" Nami asked as she looked at Ace. She got a fright when she heard the words 'uncrowned admiral's

Even Apoo was nowhere to be found.

"Of course!" He said.

"Eh, off course? Okay I'll change the course!" Nami said as she was about to change their route.

Ace gave her a look and her shoulders fell

"Fine then..." She said as she stared their ship towards 5 marine ships.

The demon Ace pirates got ready to fight but surprisingly, the marine ships moved out of their way and didn't start shooting at them.

"What's going on?" Gaga asked, not understanding why the marines didn't attack them.

"Papapapa cowards!" Apoo laughed as he hid in a barrel.

Seing this, Gaga's eye twitched.

Soon the Black Pearl arrived in front of the luxurious ship, and Ace stood at the front of the deck, surrounded by his crewmates.

On the deck of the luxurious ship, a very handsome man with flowing blonde hair stood.

He was speaking to his crewmates.

"Thank you all for following me, but look! Now even pirates are after me, you should return now before you get more involved!"

"Your majesty! We refuse! You got exiled unjustly and we swore loyalty to you! We'll never leave your side!" A loyal follower shouted nervously as his eyes occasionally went towards Flame Emperor Ace.

"Only my beautiful head has a bounty on it, it's not to late for you to leave and return to your lives!" The beautiful royal man said as he reached his hand towards the sky while putting a rose in his mouth.

"Prince Cadvendish! We'll stay by your side forever... As long as we don't have to fight the Demon Ace pirates!" Another said, showing his loyalty.

Ace just looked on curiously.

Gaga's eye twitched again. If she understood it right, this was an exiled, handsome prince that was being chased by the marines. But what made her eye twitch was that this man seemed just as weird as Apoo.

"Even the sky cries for me, just remember the injustice I had to go through, and love me more than your wives! And I'll be fine, GO, Return to your homes!" Cavendish, the handsome prince said as he fell to one knee holding his chest in pain.

"..."

"Nami... Why does our captain have that glint in his eye?" Gaga suddenly asked.

"Oh no..." Nami said a she saw it.

"Captain hahah, we should leave now. So we don't get infected by that Prince's weirdness. Let's not have someone as weird as that on our ship... Right you agree with me, right?" Nami tried to salvage the situation, but she recognises the look on Ace's face, he wants another crewmember.

"Weird? Look how he sacrifices himself for his crew, isn't he good?" Ace asked back.

"Ah... At least I tried!" Nami sighed and gave up.

"Captain Lalanga! It seems like the Demon Ace pirates came to rob them, they didn't come for us!" The right hand man of Captain Lalanga said.

"Yes, after all, such an expensive looking ship, it's no wonder a pirate would be attracted. We'll let them rob, then we'll take the fugitives and return safely!" Captain Lalanga said as he felt relieved that the pirates weren't after them.

"Your highness! It doesn't matter that a fearsome piratecrew has cime for us! We'll stay by your side no matter what!" A loyal subordinate said.

"Ah! My beauty has truly made me irresistible! No wonder I have so many loyal dogs!" Cavendish the handsome prince said in sadness as he put his backhand on his forehead and held the rose up to the sky.

"Nonetheless, you dogs still don't have any bounty, leave while you can!" Cavendish said, but he was just playing, he wouldn't allow his dogs to leave, if he's going to be hunted, so will they.

"Hey, are ya really a prince?" The happy voice of Ace sounded out.

"Can my beauty be held by anything other than royalty?" Cavendish scoffed.

"Then join my crew!" Ace said happily.

Cavendish faltered and fell on his butt.

"I r-r-refuse!!!" Cavendish felt aghast that someone dared to say that someone as beautiful as him would be a pirate.

"I'm going to be the strongest man ever, so if you join me, your fame will fly through the roof." Ace said.

When Cavendish heard those words he got furious. He's a beautiful prince, how could mere fame make him bend his principle like that!!?

His loyal dogs all looked angry.

Yes! Their royal prince was beautiful and loved fame!

Yes! Their beautiful prince got exiled because the noble women fell in love with him and he seduces the wives and daughters of the nobles.

Yes! Their prince used to walk through the towns just so the common people could be blessed by his beauty.

Yes! He was so beautiful that when he smiled, the sun shone. And when he cried, the clouds rained!

But he would never ignore his values and principles for fame!

All the loyal dogs got very angry.

In anger, Cavendish stood up and pointed angrily at Ace.

"I ACCEPT!" He shouted.

Suddenly he ran towards the edge of his ship and jumped over to the Black Pearl and then walked over to his new captain.

"How famous will I get?" He asked curiously.

"You'll be so famous that everyone around the planet will know your face and name!" Ace said with a smile.

Suddenly a big white horse hurriedly followed after Cavendish and jumped on board and hurried to Ace's side and gave him a salute.

"Farul,You came!" Cavendish said with happiness in his tone, Farul was a close companion from his childhood.

*I guess, a horse is also part of my crew now Whahahahah!" Ace laughed.

Nami just looked at Bepo then Farul.

All the loyalist fell over with wide eyes.

Their jaws were wide enough to fit a football sized hairbrush inside, as they saw their prince charming switch side's like that.

"N-no, I get it, he did it for us!" One loyalist cried out.

"Yes he did it for us, so that we wouldn't get killed!" Another also realised.

"And so that we wouldn't get bounties! Now we can return home to our families because of his sacrifice!"

"OUR HANDSOME HERO PRINCE WE'LL NEVER FORGET YOU!" Suddenly everyone on board started crying
