He was still the same arrogant jerk as he was back in high school. A dangerous combination. He was getting to me-my one club. My one social event I had once per week was being taken away from me.

I loved him back in high school, pined for him... and then it all went wrong. I pushed him away, and no matter what, I couldn't take it back.

So I did what anyone else on the rebound would do. I went and dated the safe option-or so I thought at the time-when I left town. I found someone who would accept me. Someone who would forgive me for my mistakes and love me for who I am.

Or so I thought. We got married, but the moment I was pregnant, he just left. He said our relationship was moving too quickly.

We were married!

The safe option turned out to be the worst choice.
