the path seeker

In the vast and mystical realm of Qi'an, where celestial energies intertwine with the essence of the natural world, our protagonist, Shen Wei, emerges as a cultivator of unparalleled intelligence. Gifted with a profound understanding of the cosmos, Shen Wei embarks on a journey to not only master the arts of cultivation but also to unravel the mysteries of the true self. The world of Qi'an is a tapestry of diverse landscapes. The Azure Peaks, towering mountain ranges shrouded in ethereal mist, house ancient monasteries where sages meditate on the essence of existence. The Crystal Lotus Plains, adorned with luminous flora, are home to nomadic tribes whose whispers carry the secrets of forgotten realms. Shen Wei's first revelation comes atop the Celestial Pillar, a towering spire that reaches into the heavens. "To master the external, one must first fathom the internal," he learns, unlocking the power to harmonize his inner energies with the forces of the universe. This wisdom enables him to perceive the true self, unlocking abilities that transcend the limitations of ordinary cultivation. As Shen Wei delves deeper into the intricacies of Qi'an, he encounters characters whose stories are woven into the very fabric of the world. Mei Ling, a stoic scholar with a tragic past, seeks redemption through the pursuit of forbidden knowledge, while Captain Juro, a seasoned warrior, battles not only external foes but also the shadows within his own heart. The power dynamics in Qi'an are governed by the Five Celestial Elements—Fire, Water, Earth, Air, and Ether—each granting unique abilities to those who master them. Shen Wei, with his intellectual prowess, combines these elements seamlessly, creating a fusion of power that transcends traditional cultivation boundaries. Amidst political intrigue and ancient prophecies, Shen Wei unearths the forgotten history of Qi'an, discovering that the realm's destiny is intricately tied to the harmony between mortal cultivators and the celestial forces. His journey becomes a quest to not only empower himself but to forge alliances that will safeguard Qi'an from an impending cosmic imbalance. As Shen Wei's journey unfolds, the characters around him evolve, their thoughts and struggles adding depth to the overarching narrative. In a world where the line between ally and adversary blurs, Shen Wei's intelligence and understanding of the true self become his most potent weapons against the encroaching darkness threatening to engulf Qi'an.

The Lost Devil

#3 in #WPC 108. Support us with power stones, comments and if possible reviews. ----------------------------------------------------------------- This is the story of Alex Rutherford. He was known by many names among his peers, 'Yama'[The God of Death] or 'Asura'[The Devil himself]. NO one dared to approach him. He was the god of killing, without any emotions. Every life he took, was just another assignment for him... Every life he took, was just one more number added to the count... Every life he took, was to reach a certain someone... "Please spare me, I will give you as much money as you want". A middle-aged man pleaded. "Sorry but you have already paid me. By becoming my target" The young man said while fidgeting the dagger in his hand. Splash... The dagger in the young man's hand, slit his target's neck. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- But what will happen, if he suddenly lost his memory? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now he is adopted by a couple. He has a job, friends and a peaceful life. He does not remember anything about his past life. "Alex, what are you doing at home on Sunday morning?" a woman asked Alex. "What happened, mom?" Alex said while playing on his PS 5. "Get out of the house and find yourself a girlfriend". "Why?" Alex asked lazily. "If I don't see you bring a girl to introduce to us within a week, I will...will... I will throw that stupid game of yours" the woman said pointing towards the gaming console in front of her. "Mom, where are my clothes?" Alex asked ready to go find a girl. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Will he able to continue living like this? Will he remember his past? If so will he return to his old ways or will he use his skills to help the people? What will happen when his past comes haunting him? This is my second review in two years now. The novel has gained a much more defined identity since then, having defined strengths and areas that some consider shortcomings. With this review, I wish to convey the core domains of focus of this novel to manage your expectations. This novel focuses on the intersection between martial art with science and the world. I have created a framework of martial art centered around science and an intricate and deep world centered around martial art. If you are interested in exploring a refreshingly unique hard power system centered around science, then this novel is for you. If you're interested in an intricately constructed world woven around martial art and its impact on civilization, then this novel is for you. I would advise you to be patient when reading this story, it is slow by any reasonable measure.

This review is for new readers afraid to read this novel because of slow progress in realm. The slow progress in realms is manly because the power-system is completely training focused rather than resource-based so training can't be time-skipped. Usually in cultivation novels Authors can time-skip 500+ years of grinding since all MC needs to do is cultivate, gather qi in dantain and progress, so the training arc can be summarized in one line like "MC ate ying-yang pill and cultivated for 500 years and broke through." But this novel is complete science based martial novel where the only way to progress is by training and creating new martial arts unique to your martial path. And each new technique needs some source of inspiration, a training model with planning, followed by an elaborate training arc. And training-arcs in this novel are the BEST. The novel is slow but not lazy, author could had definitely time-skipped training arcs but then the technique would be way less impactful to readers.

Shameless 5-star author review. This novel is a passion project of mine, I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it. The focus of the novel is action and adventure equally, with absolutely no other genre. The martial arts are centered around reality and science as much as possible, albeit greatly exagerated. The world is something I've invested a lot of time into building, as well as integrating into the plot in a logically justified manner. Please give it a read if you're interested.

I haven't nothing else to say really, this is the best book for readers who love martial art work and persistent mc, it would be a pity to just scroll past and not take a peek. each Chapters giving specific information and story chains to future chapters, memorable moments and heart stealing characters, even though the chapters are only few, they are actually quite addicting. author deserves a medal 💯

This is prolly the best novel to learn about fighting narrations... Holy... if u're not confident about ur fighting narrations then try writing one of these type of novels... U'll came out a master once the novel is complete.

To be honest I was expecting this story to be so much better in the first few chapters but as I kept reading it kept getting worse worse and worse. First off is just how annoyingly nerfed the mc is and author just keeps trying to nerf him more and more, the author keeps on repeating certain issues with the mc which shouldnt even be there anymore. The worst part is the hugeeee amount of useless information dump EVERY SINGLE CHAPTER literally nothing I would read 10 chapters to only get a normal chapter’s worth of good information. I kept trying to give this story a try but as I reached almost chap 60 I just gave up and dont want to waste anymore of my time.

Well the idea is nice and the start of the story was great but then it just started reading like a lab report.. even some chapters later on when the MC was “planning” out his training plans read like an abstract of a thesis. That was annoying but it’s not the reason I dropped the novel, what really ticked me off is how everyone (and I mean everyone from the orphans to the leaders of the nation) somehow always talk with great logic and points of validity. I wouldn’t be surprised if the author chose the scientific track when they were in high school but bro, that’s not how you write a novel.

A great novel so far with many details, though it has quite a bit of info dumps it sets up the background of the world pretty nicely without stopping it's progress for more than 1 or 2 chapters at a time. So far it has a 'pure' motive behind it, no evil constantly breathing on MC's neck or some kind of revenge, just pure enthusiasm and determination which I like a lot

this novel had an alright premise but it is completely ruined by the incompetency of the author by making the story seem like it was written by a 5 year old

A classic martial arts novel. It was a good read not to fast pace and I could digest all the information that was given to me comfortable. I can't wait for future chapter's from the Author.

Caught up 795 and can say this is a great novel. Though there are a few things to note that are required going in: 1: Deal with a lot of science and a fair amount of Psuedo science. Don’t get me wrong, I think author does a pretty good job of staying accurate. But its still fantasy. Some suspension of disbelief is still required. 2: info dumps. Omg so many info dumps. They are usually cool so I have enjoyed them. I generally like detailed novels over fast pace and lacking content. This novel would be pretty fast pace without the info dumps. I think it strikes a good middle ground but if info dumps are a no no for you then this probably isn’t for you. Overall those are my two warnings! If those aren’t a problem for you I 100% recommend trying this novel. It’s not #1 of those Im currently reading but it’s definitely near the top! Oh also low romance. I like this but if you need heavy romance or harem this isn’t for you at least so far.

Story overall is super basic with constant writing deveatioms leading to meaningless prose and incessant repeating of lines. Overall the author wants to try to fill up the word count with detail but fails most of the time. Martial Arts theme is cool and all but just not executed that well. Typos almost every paragraph. They range from improper grammar to entirely missing words. If the author were just to read over what he wrote it would easily be an entertaining read. The fact of the matter is the authors lack of editing just leads to the readers becoming unwilling editors themselves. I can confidently predict that if the Author focused any amount on cleaning up simple mistakes the novel could easily become more popular. Unfortunately as it stands the Novel is very close to MACHINE TRANSLATION quality and thus at most will be considered a filler book between people waiting for what they actually enjoy reading.

This book has way too many unnecessary descriptions, I have to deal with that by skipping to the relevant details, but otherwise it's a pretty decent read. In exchange for slow pacing you have good worldbuilding and constant supply of character progression, making the plot smooth and satisfying.

A masterpiece in world building, character design and power system. Just reading the fights in this story gets my blood pumping. The author has weaved a power system that is so creative and allowed for so much creativity. A power system and the main character's climb so believable that you will find yourself wondering if humanity in real life might also be able to achieve these levels of individual strength. Hats off to an incredible writer and this incredible story. I am glad that I am able to witness this story and John Falken's climb as it gets unfolded.Thank you

the story plot is average, full of narration and less dialogue but a good attempt.

6th chapter needs reworking, that’s the moth of immersion breaking. The whole thing about muscle memory and that he still can’t adapt to his body just doesn’t make sense

Read till Chapter 126. The writer has a good hold of his writing style, and is very consistent overall. I like the story progression and generic motivation behind the MC. However, there is a glaring plot hole that is not covered at all. There is absolutely no mention of edged weapons at all in the academy time, but it was mentioned during 1st mission. This implies that they exist in this world. MC or his friends never encountered swords or other weapons when MC said that the land expansion of humans using gunpowder weapons was in stalemate. With the world low on technology, but still very much developed, it seems weapon forging would have been a great boon to humanity. Making this a complete martial arts novel is cool. Depending solely on flesh and bones to survive and excel without armor and weapons is a very good concept, but projectiles should be included. Humans created shields and bows of wood before metal, and it is established that trees are plentiful in this world. Cultivation without any energy to depend upon is very challenging and I commend the author to make it this detailed. Maybe they introduce it later on. They are already hinting at lightning, wind attributes, and whatnot, and if they do introduce energy/mana/qi I am curious as to how they incorporate it into a story without much foreshadowing. Overall at this point, I am bored of highly detailed martial art and want some exciting flexs instead of reasonable disapointment.

This Webnovel has only just started, but thus far it's been enjoyable. The author has a good grasp on language and the way he sets up and deals with a rather generic set-up is refreshing and feels very real. He has a good grasp on how he wants to tell his story and I feel his style lends itself to writing a battle story like this. Can't wait to read more.

Not bad. I actually enjoyed it for the most part, but I dropped it after the author started adding symbiotes to the martial world. I didn't like that part. I don't mind it existing, but hate that the mc wants some bug in his brain. The whole symbiote thing just feels off to me in a martial world, guess I'm more of a purist than that. So yeah, dropped. Good read otherwise.
