Gossiping and David's injuries

When Catherine was just thinking about what to make for dinner, a pair of figures appeared at some distance from our house. 

It was a woman and a girl, they came in front of our house and the woman started to call Catherine with a familiar tone as if she knew her for a long time looks like they were not strangers.

"Ah! Maria when did you return from kaiju village, come inside?" Catherine happily greeted them and bring them inside the house while asking, "Where is Leon?"

"Oh, he went to greet village and after that, he will go to meet David and check if everything is under control or not?" She replied.

This woman's husband was also a village guard who worked with David, they knew each other since childhood because of that their wives became good friends too.

"Anyway, forget about him, how's your baby? Is he safe?" She asked.

"There was some complication during delivery but everything went well and now the baby is fine." She replied with a smile.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't with you when you needed me," Maria said in a sad tone. She was visiting her birthplace when Catherine gave birth to me that's why she felt guilty.

"Don't worry it's fine," Catherine laughed it off and made the mood light again because she didn't even consider her guilty.

"By the way, where is your baby?" She asked and then Catherine replied, "He is over there."

They came close to me and held me in her hands, it didn't pass even a few minutes and that little girl started to ask her mother that she hand me to her.

After Catherine's approval, she gently placed me in her hands and instructed her to play with me gently. The girl noted her head very hard to show her mother that she understands perfectly.

The little girl was at least four-year-old with beautiful blue hair and eyes, her eyes were big she looked very cute.

Catherine and that woman started gossiping with each other on the dining table so typical of women. The girl puts me on the floor because I was a little heavy for her. 

She started telling me about what she wanna become in the future. She said that she wanted to become very powerful so that she could hunt monsters and help his father and protect this village together with him.

Although I should have laughed it off when I see her eyes they were not like a 4-year-old child who was just playing around, I could see that she was dead serious. she wants to help her father to protect this village.

She started swinging her wooden sword to show me her swords skills and accidentally hit me in the head. She quickly dropped the sword and started to rub my head in a panic because the impact was very high that it created a loud noise, 'Ow' it hurts so much, it was a good thing that it was only a wooden sword otherwise I would have been a goner.

Hearing the sound Catherine suddenly came and started rubbing my head and the girl's mother is started to scold her. Her eyes become teary and it looked like she was about to cry.

You don't have the right to scold her if I could say then I would have told her that it's not this girl's fault it's your fault for not keeping eye on her and monitoring what she is doing.

Maria told her to apologize to Catherine, she came forward and sincerely apologize.

After everything calms down and they confirmed that nothing serious happened, maria started to gave me the same gaze just like that woman Dylan. Why was she also looking at me like that? I was in deep thought, she came close to me and pinched my cheeks quite hard, 'Ow!' what were you thinking to pinch my cheeks out of nowhere.

Catherine asked her why she pinched me then she told something that gives me an answer why Dylan and she was looking at me like that she said "Even after being hit that hard by the wooden sword he did not cry even a little and even now when I pinched him he didn't shed a single tear isn't that strange"

"Now that you mentioned since his birth I never saw him crying? he is very calm from birth," Catherine said in a questionable tone.

Crap! how could I forgot something so important that every baby cries but I couldn't cry because I'm a fully grown man from inside.

I didn't know how to like a little child and it's embarrassing to act crying like a child. I had never cried even in my past life, so it will be quite hard for me to start crying.

"I think he is special because he is my child I don't care if he cries or not I just want him to always smile and live a happy life and that is enough for me Right baby." She said that and start to kiss me.

Both of them returned to their House and Catherine started to make dinner.

today David was very late. I had no idea what he was doing. Catherine was waiting for him after she prepared the dinner, she also didn't touch the food and waiting for him.

When he finally came home very late. It was not on his own feet. he was heavily injured and covered in blood, he was carried by two people seeing him in that state Catherine was about to collapse but she somehow handles herself but why was David in that state what happened to him but first of all, he needs treatment.
