Chapter 1Road To Glory

In a locker room, a young man named Leo Saint is shadow kickboxing, preparing for his first professional fight. He then tapes his hands and ankles. As Leo is ready for the fight, his coach, an old man named Frank walks into the room.

"How are ya feelin kid?" Frank asks.

Leo starts jumping in place to keep himself warmed up.

"I feel good. Ready to get this win." Leo says.

"That's what I like to hear. We've trained hard for this. This is your moment, so go out there and knock him on his ass."

Leo smiles.

"You got it, Frank."

"Alright. Let's go."

Frank and Leo make their way to the ring. As Leo makes his entrance, he puts in his mouth guard and walks down the ramp. His opponent is already in the ring, staring him down. Leo hears the roar of the crowd, but only focuses on the fight ahead. He jumps into the ring and stands in his corner.

In the crowd, a short man in a fancy suit named Sunny Morgan and a heavy weight rookie named Isaiah Cross sit in the crowd with a smile.

The referee asks if the two are ready, to which they both nod and the bell rings. The two men circle each other around the ring, squaring up against each other. Leo's Opponent throws a kick that he easily ducks under. He then swings at him, but Leo blocks and lands a right hook in the face. His opponent throws another punch, that Leo blocks and punches him in the side of his body.

Leo's opponent gets frustrated and pushes him in the corner. He starts throwing punches at his head, but Leo avoids them. He soon gets caught with a punch to the face, but responds with a forearm to the nose, knocking him back. The opponent then throws another kick, but Leo blocks with his knee and punches him in the face. He then jumps and spins in the air, and lands a tornado kick in his face, knocking him out cold.

The referee waves off the fight and raises Leo's hand in victory.

"An impressive win by Leo Saint, son of the late great Markus Saint. Can not wait to see what this young man can really do." One of the announcers says.

As the crowd start to chant "saint", Leo celebrates in the ring, raising his hands in victory, with a smile on his face, thinking to himself that he finally made it.

He then leaves the ring, when he is swarmed by cameras and interviewers everywhere.

"Leo, how does it feel to not only to make your debut tonight, but coming out victorious?"

"It's terrific, honestly. This has been all I've ever wanted for so long now, and I'm just glad to-."

At that moment, Leo's larger younger brother, William Saint, interrupts the interview and hugs his older brother.

"That's right, baby! First round knockout, that's what I'm talkin about!" William says with a smile.

Leo laughs and puts his arm around his brother.

"This is my baby brother. My big baby brother. He's a fighter too."

William then leans into the microphones.

"Yeah Big, Baby, Saint. One day, I'm gonna be right where Leo is now, only in the heavyweight division."

"Anyway, there's a lot of great fighters in the middle weight division, and can't wait to fight all of them. I'm gonna stack these wins up, and make my way to that title." Leo says.

"That's right! The Saint brothers, let's go!" William adds.

Across the arena, Sunny Morgan and Isaiah Cross are being interviewed as well.

"It was an excellent match, truly exciting to watch. But what's even more exciting, is that S.M. Promotions is please to announce that we have just added Isaiah Cross to our roster of MMA talent." Morgan says.

Cross arrogantly steps up to the cameras.

"Isaiah, how do you feel about Leo Saints performance tonight?"

Cross chuckles at the question.

"I mean, he wasn't bad. For a middle weight. But let's be honest, little Leo is good, but he doesn't hold a candle to a heavyweight, like me. No one has ever went the distance with me, no one has survived a round with me. I am the best fighter on the planet."

Sunny then walks up to the mic.

"Leo Saint is a talented middleweight, but I think Isaiah makes a good point. Regardless, both these young men could have very bright futures in professional Mix Martial-Arts." Sunny says.

He then looks over at Leo as a grin appears on his face.

Godfather Of Champions

This is a story about the pursuit of victory. — "I subscribe only to the theory of victory. I only pursue victory. As long as I am able to obtain victory, I don’t care if it’s total football or counterattack. What is the ultimate goal of professional soccer? In my opinion, it is victory, and the pinnacle of victory is to become the champions. I am a manager. If I don’t wish to lose my job or be forgotten by the people, there’s only one path for me to take, and that is to lead the team in obtaining victories, in obtaining championship titles!” The main character was not well-liked by people. — “⋯We conducted a survey which had been deemed by Manager Tony Twain as extremely meaningless. In a random street survey conducted, ninety-three percent of those surveyed chose the option ‘I hate Tony Twain’, while only seven percent chose the option ‘This person is rather decent, I like him’. It is worth noting that nobody chose the option ‘Who is Tony Twain? I don’t know him’. Mark, do you know why Manager Twain felt that our survey was very meaningless?” Parker, a reporter from <The Daily Telegraph> laughed loudly and said when he was being interviewed by BBC. But there were also people who were madly in love with him. — “⋯ Became the spokesperson of world-wide famous clothing brands, shot advertisements, frequented the fashion industry’s award ceremonies, endorsed electronic games, has a supermodel girlfriend. His earnings from advertisements exceed his club salary by seventeen times, owns a special column in various print medias, publishing his autobiography (in progress), and is even said that he is planning to shoot an inspirational film based off his own person experiences! Who can tell me which part of his life experiences is worthy of being called ‘inspirational’? Hold on⋯. Are you all thinking that I’m referring to David Beckham? You’re sorely mistaken! I’m talking about Manager Tony Twain⋯.” He was very knowledgeable about Chinese soccer. — “⋯ I’ve heard about it, that Bora gifted four books to his manager Mr. Zhu before your country’s national team’s warm up match. After which, the team lost 1:3 to a nameless American team from Major League Soccer. The new excuse that Mr. Zhu gave for losing the match, was that Bora gifted “books” (‘books’ and ‘lose’ are homophones in the Chinese language). Here, I recommend that you guys find out what that one specific book is. Which book? Of course the one that caused you all to score a goal. After that, tell me the title of the book. Before every match, I will gift ten copies of that same book to you. In that case, won’t you all be able to get a triumphant 10:0 win over your opponents every time?” An excerpt taken from Tony Twain’s special column in a certain famous Chinese sports newspaper.
