Elma's POV:
One month had passed by so quickly and my family was running mad with wedding
preparations for a wedding I wasn't okay with.
"Elma, did you go try out the gown?" mother asked, and I rolled my eyes.
"I have better things to do; I am waiting for Sarah."
"What's more important than trying on your wedding gown?"
"Anything else, mother, I already told you I don't want to get married now. Why all these preparations?"
"You love Anthony, and he loves you too, so why the delay?"
Because I didn't want things to turn out the way they did last time, I didn't want to end up feeling like I was stuck.
But they won't listen to me; they had even sent out invitations already.
I stood at the entrance of the gate waiting for Sarah; if I stayed in there, they wouldn't spare me with their boring wedding arrangements.
Soon she arrived, and I hopped in her car.
