Fate in Denial c71

January 8

"By my Command Seals, I order you to kill yourself!" The white-haired priest exclaimed as he used a command seal. As Ruler Class Servant, he has a set of command spells which he can use to order Servants summoned by the same system.

"..."

"..."

"...This was your trump card? Are you serious?" Melusine sounded disappointed.

"...W-What? Why didn't this work!?" Shirou Kotomine sounded shocked as he realised that the Lancer in front of him had not reacted in any way!

"Are you surprised? My Master and Queen is a Fairy Queen, and my King is a Sorcerer, a Master in vessel construction. He simply took that function out." The white-haired dragon girl said with a scoff.

"...T-Took out!? That's a Class Skill! You don't just take out such a thing!" Ruler said with disbelief. He wanted to bang his head. How on earth did this even work?

"Instead of wasting your time with such a pointless endeavour. Use those seals to boost your performance; you will need them, human."

Melusine's fist lunged at Shirou's face.

With a tongue click, the priest tried to parry that strike, but he was sent flying.

'Such force, how can a girl with such a small stature deliver this much force!'

It only was a second, but he lost sight of Mulusine, and since he was mid-flight, he couldn't just look around.

"You lack fighting experience as well. It appears thinking is more important than paying attention to a much stronger enemy. Is this the infamous human arrogance?" The Dragon girl whispered into Ruler's ear.

"...Damn!"

Before he can react, a fist slams into his gut, slamming him into the ground.

*Cough**Cough**Cough*

The priest tried to stand up, but Melusine grabbed him by his hair and slightly lifted him.

"At least help me warm up. Don't you think this is embarrassing?"

"...Damn…you…"

"At least you haven't lost your will to fight." The white-haired girl commented after seeing the priest's gaze.

However, he will regret having such a look. At the next moment, the fists started to fly. Melusine proceeded to use him like a practice dummy.

Left fist, right fist, left fist, right fist, went fist, right— an avalanche of fist hammering into him. His cheek started to inflate from those punches.

The last one is an uppercut, which sends him into the sky.

'I need him alive, Melusine. Our King wants to speak with him before he kills him.'

'Orders understood.'

~~~~~~Morgan~~~~~~
'Orders Understood.'
After hearing all clear from her Knight, Morgan looked at the Assyrian Queen.
"You are not a normal Fairy Queen. No fairy Queen should have access to Mesopotamian Divine Constructs."
"My, an observant one, aren't you?" The pale blond witch 'praised' the Wise Queen.
"Don't mock me. Such Divine Constructs are well documented."
"You are right. The thing is that you never considered how long ago my husband summoned me. Your Master has been around for years, isn't it? But he achieved nothing.
My Husband, on the other hand, has won the Grail War two times now."
"...Impossible!"
"Ah, here it comes. But this time, it comes from a Demi-God. The concept of 'Impossible'." Morgan scoffed at that. The pillars of Rhongomyniads surrounded them, creating an arena.
"You just need to try hard enough, and anything is possible. Sadly for you, you are a threat." The Fairy Queen commented before turning serious; her blue eyes started to glow in sinister light.
"Don't get me wrong. It's not that I see you strong. It's that your existence is similar to mine. There can only be one of me next to my Husband.
Everything else has to be eliminated with extreme prejudice."
Semiramis started to sweat as she looked around. What nonsense magecraft is this!
"Come to me, dark lake, witness my Noble Phantasm, Witch of Assyria!"
Black waters surrounded the Assassin of Red; she looked around, trying to grasp the nature of this Noble Phantasm.
The surroundings changed and turned into grasslands.
"...Reality Marble!?" Semiramis looked around; she couldn't see Morgan; all she could see was a castle in the distance.
"Close enough. What you see is a memory of my Fae Britain. Replicated and ready to be discarded.
Just as spring replaces winter, seasons change, so do I need to move on and forget about my ugly past."
As she spoke, the surroundings changed; the day turned to night, and the night sky became full of stars.
These stars grew more prominent until this light illuminated where the wise queen stood.
"...Hmm?" She looked at the night sky.
Her eyes turned into horror! Those were not stars! Those were those things falling into her!
Pillars, like meteorites, proceeded to rain on Assassin of Red.
"One should not be ruled by its past. This is my Noble Phantasm! Beyond Camelot, towards a Bright Future. And you, Assyrian Witch, are already part of that past."
An explosion followed as the Rhongomyniads, like meteorites, exploded, shredding everything in their path.
Darkness consumed the area; Morgan looked at her palm. A Rhondomyniad was floating above her hand; inside it, countless small explosions were happening.
That's right, Morgan transported the Wise Queen into the small Rhongomyniad and then executed her.
"More powerful than ever before. One becomes stronger when they are not chained to their past. Embracing future expectations made one excited about possibilities.
That is what a bright future means. That's why I am stronger than any Servant.
The sheer hope—*Scoff* now I sound like the red dragon." The pale blonde shattered the small Rhongomyniad she was holding in her hand. It turned into small blue particles and ceased to exist.
After pondering how soft she was becoming, the Fairy Queen turned around and walked towards Melusine.
What she found was her knight sitting on a boulder next to her, lying on the ground, face first, was the white-haired priest.
"Is he still alive?"
"He should be. He is a living Servant. They disappear when they die, no?" Mulusine was not sure herself.
All she got from Morgan was a shrug.
"I am no expert in Human Servants."
"Wel, he didn't disappear, so he should be still alive." As the Dragon Girl was about to lift him, the guy simply kicked out and ran away.
"Does he seriously believe he can run away?" Lancer said with disbelief. Her golden eyes were wide. This action from the white-haired priest takes the cake!
With a single lunge, a sonic boom followed as Melusine's high heel lunged into the priest's knee.
"Agghh!!!"
"I am going to break your limbs. Let's see how you run without those!"
*CRACK*
"AGGHHHH!!!!"
As the Dragon girl was fixing her flop, Melusine looked embarrassed for allowing such development; Morgan looked towards the black faction's castle. She could see fighting there was getting close to being done.
'Well, the Great Grail War will end in a single day. Stupid Assyrian Witch, who told you to summon a floating castle?' The Fairy Queen scoffed at the development.
Well, whatever, they can return to their cruise.
Atalante's fight against the Archer of Black is not as easy as she had thought.
"...You are Chiron. Only in human form, it took me a while to understand who I was facing." She said with a frown. This guy is one of the worst enemies for her to face.
Chiron is a great archer, fast, and can engage in close-range combat.
The only superiority she might have is her bow and speed. She can't get close, and trying to outshoot him won't be easy.
"Same. It took me a few moments, but I understood you are Atalante, the Chaste Huntress. However, it appears you have improved somewhat. You are holding a Divine Construct for a weapon.
I am slightly jealous." The blonde Sage said with a slight smirk.
Atalante frowned upon hearing that; she looked at her Tauropolos. This weapon was the result of her selling her soul to the devil.
'I suppose I will need to use my new Noble Phantasm to win.'
"Archer, let's end her! We are far away from the castle! Use your Noble Phantasm!" The Master of Archer of Black ordered her Servant.
"Very well!" Chiron took his stance and prepared to shoot his arrow.
Atalante turned stiff.
'Master! Permission to use my full power!'
'By all means, Atalante.'
"My apologies, Atalante, But this arrow pierces the stars of Scorpion, Antares Snipe!!"
Instead of shooting at her, Chiron shoots it into the sky. A constellation of Saggitarius appeared, and a beam of light descended towards her.
'I knew it! It's a constellation!'
"You are not the only one with constellations!"
She pulled the bowstring of her bow and a lot of mana pumped into the new arrow, and then it got released.
A bear's roar followed as the arrow rushed to meet the descending beam.
"...What is going on!"
The arrow overpowered the blast from Saggitarius rushing into the sky, replacing the constellations.
Instead of the centaur, it turned into a bear.
"That's Ursa Major!" The Master Archer of Black recognised the stars.
"Have fun dodging the Seven Arrows of the Great Dipper."
Atalanta grinned as she jumped away.
"Hmm? What did she mean?"
At that moment, the sky turned red as meteorites proceeded to descend on the centaur-turned-human and the Master.
"We need to leave!"
Chiron realised the sheer damage this attack would do! It was a noble phantasm released from a Divine Construct.
"It's useless. The meteorites will follow you until you die. It's a Noble Phantasm forged from my will of a huntress who never misses and my connection with Kalypso, who became a constellation of Ursa Major."
*Tsk*
Chiron proceeded to grab his Master and started to rush away.
Atalante looked at this with a perplexed look. She looked at her smoky bow—the amount of mana she used.
'I need to practise the power output of this. I might have overdone it.'
Her gaze went to the red sky where seven meteorites were descending.
~~~~~~Renias~~~~~~

"Oh my. I thought she would use Phoebus Catastrophe, but she went with seven arrows." The sorcerer said to his knight; they were looking at descending meteorites.

"Did you teach your Cat girl to shoot meteorites!?" Saber Alter asked with disbelief; now she was getting jealous! She can't summon meteorites!

"Not per se. I manifested a Noble Phantasm she never fully manifested before.

It's similar to how you never got your horse or Lance or the Scabbard. This is similar. A portion of a myth is never realised into crystallisation."

The trio of blondes looked at meteorites slamming into the forest.

"... Won't you do something? Those things will wipe out everything."

"Yeah, I guess so. Atalante still needs to train the size she summons them." Ren casually commented on the sheer size of the rocks descending.

"...Master— that thing is—" Jeanne started to panic as those meteorites would wipe Trifas from the map.

"Yeah–Yeah, relax, sheesh." With a casual hand wave, the meteorite was gone, and the dust cloud never appeared.

"Let's go and see how my lioness is doing." Ren proceeded to walk towards the battlefield.

~~~
Chiron was breathing heavily as he looked at Atalante, who had no scratches to speak of while he was running on fumes.
Those meteorites did no damage beyond the initial landing, which caught him with a second meteorite.
"I have disarmed your bow. What are you going to do now?" The Chaste Huntress asked with a frown. She was still on edge; she couldn't allow this guy to get close.
Before he can answer, he looks to the side.
"Well, it appears my time here is over."
His comment made her look to the side. She noticed her Master strolling towards their direction without any care in the world.
*Tsk*
"Master! Let me finish this fight on my terms! I STILL need to earn my upkeep!"
Atalante's words surprised Chiron. What does she even mean by that?
With power, she was given—
'Oh, I see, pride of a huntress, so that's why she is so reckless with that absurd Noble Phantasm.'
