Secrets-III

"The vase!!! " Tom suddenly woke up and immediately ran towards Arthur.

"He can't leave this forest Arthur! otherwise the entire continent will be destroyed!! " Tom shook Arthur's shoulders frantically, releasing a crazed look in his eyes.

"Calm down Tom! " Arthur tried to calm him down but to no avail.

"Hahahaha! I can finally avenge my brothers!! Carlos! Li! Lord and captain! just watch over me! " Tom's expression twisted in madness

"Sharingan" Arthur put Tom in a genjutsu to forcibly calm him down.

"Release! " after a while Arthur undid the genjutsu

"Haahh... haaahh" Tom exhaled loudly for a while. After some time he replied "Sorry, I lost my cool for a bit. "

"Forget about that, tell me what you remember" Arthur asked straight to the point.

Tom nodded and started narrating his dreams

After Tom finish narrating, Arthur asked "So if we don't seal him before he finishes his cultivation then he will wreck havoc on the entire continent, is it?

Tom nodded " If he recovers his previous cultivation then only an emperor realm cultivator can stop him, our continent only has one ancestor of the emperor realm"

"Then isn't it better for him to deal with this? " Arthur asked since it was waaay too risky.

"What about the lives that will be lost before the ancestor come here? They will all perish! " Tom emphasised

"Well, if you put it that way." Arthur didn't have much of a choice, even if he leave the forest and entered the nearest town, the demonic cultivator will still kill him since they won't be able to outrun an emperor realm cultivator and if he went to ask for help then it will be too late.

"Don't worry, it will take time for the demon master to regain his previous emperor realm cultivation!" Tom persuaded

"We can easily seal him during his weakend time if we find the vase and the key! " Tom further persuaded

"It's not like we have much of choice here" Arthur held his head 'One after another adventure huh! '

"Lead the way Tom or should I call you Ezra? " Arthur asked

"I.. " Tom hesitated to answer, he liked the name Tom, with this name he could remain ignorant and enjoy a fresh new life but after remembering all these memories, he couldn't deny his existence as Ezra anymore, after all his previous comrades died to save him. He could no longer remain ignorant and wish for an easy life.

"Ok then Ezra, lead the way! " Arthur smiled at Tom or rather Ezra, he could already tell what Ezra was thinking due to his expression.

The two after coming all this far, turned back and started running towards the forest which they tried so hard to escape.

"How many days do we have before his cultivation is complete? " Arthur asked to which Ezra replied "Very soon.. " Ezra became silent

"That's a weird way to say we don't have much time left" Arthur said while joking to which Ezra smiled

"We have to hurry up! " Arthur and Ezra both increased their speeds. Along the way they met multiple low rank monsters but Arthur easily kill them with his dual cleavers.

"When did you get that? " Ezra asked

"Not too long ago" Arthur replied to which Ezra smiled "You are full of secrets" .

Arthur only laughed as he didn't had any good comeback

Soon they came across another dreaded bone forest but unlike before, no dead bodies were hanging there.

"It looks like he had already refined this place" Arthur said with a grave tone

"Where is it!!! " " Where is it!! " Tom frantically search for something like a mad man

'His mental state is not stable' Arthur thought and called out "Ezr-"

"Found it! " Ezra pulled out a broken vase from the ground laughing and crying "Soon.. carlos.. "

Arthur had a bad feeling looking at the case, it was a bit broken and covered in multiple seals and talisman.

"Now we only need to find the key ! " Ezra exclaimed in ecstasy "Let's get going! "

"Sharingan! " Arthur again put him inside a genjutsu and carried him inside a nearby cave and decided to rest for the night

Arthur looked at tom ' His trauma is coming back ever since he accepted himself as Ezra, I can only temporarily alleviate it through my nirmal sharingan.. I quickly need the Mangekyo ' thinking so Arthur touched his eyes and pull out his cleaver from his inventory.

"Time for a hunt" Saying that Arthur vanished from his place *Sunshin jutsu*

Ezra's dream

"Haah....haaah " Ezra ran with all his might for the entire day, his heart was trembling but he still didn't stop running. Tears overflowed his eyes but he still kept on running, he couldn't afford to stop as the fate of the continent was dependent on him.

He kept on running and entered inside a bamboo forest, mist started gathering inside the bamboo forest but he still didn't stop running until.

"Big brother! " a familiar voice called him

"Carlos! " Ezra immediately turn behind and saw his little brother waving at him.

"Where are you going big brother? come here."

carlos waved his hand

"You are still alive.. " Ezra's step halted and he started walking backwards, the surroundings change and the bamboo woods were replaced by the scenery of a busy town.

"We are waiting for you Ezra, come quick! " the captain scoffed

"Calm down captain, he is coming, see? " Li appeased the captain

"You sure sleep for long " The escort Lord commented

"You all are alive! " Ezra replied while standing in shock

"What do you mean punk! now get your ass over here" The captain shouted

Ezra walked their laughing loudly, so much so that tears started falling from his face

"Brother" carlos opened his arms to hug Ezra, Ezra didn't resisted and the two hugged each other for a while.

*Plunge*

Ezra impaled Carlo's back with his sword.

*Spurt*

Green blood started oozing out of him

" Don't you dare try to impersonate him! "

Carlos smiled

"I know I am already surrounded, no need to continue this farce anymore, so show yourself!!! " Ezra shouted and soon the illusion around the surrounding area wear off, the town turned back into the bamboo forest and his 'friends' change into figures wearing black cloaks.

The man with the oni mask came up and said with his hoarse voice "Where are the vase and the key? Tell me and you will be spared! "

Ezra clenched his sword "Never! " he shouted and charged towards the man with the oni mask.

"Useless struggle" the man with the oni mask easily blocked it
