Chapitre 1

Once upon a time, when the world was just as young; when the flowers bloomed so beautifully, and not wilt later on; when the sun shined brighter than a thousand fireflies; when the clouds cried tears clearer than of diamonds; when birds would sing enchanting melodies of everlasting love and hope; when Life and Death are one.

Long ago, Life and Death were merely acquaintances. Just like two normal people who met and were fascinated with each other's powers. And just suddenly... Experienced the lifelong scars and heartbreaking torture of what we all call the first love.

Love. The word itself gives off a mystical vibe. Butterflies in your stomach, the pleasurable yet sudden gush of euphoria surging through your veins. The lonely will always yearn for this type of affection. Even the most neglected and evil. Yet disregarding its beautiful effects to humankind, we fail to realize its infamous side effects. When love is gone; evil becomes more evil, the good turns to bad, and the day turns into night. And night is when nightmares crawl into the pits of your stomach to steal every bit of wonder and hope you have left. Crushing every good thing you have left in you.

Life was loved by everyone. Her green, soft-looking tresses was greener than the greenest jade. Her blue eyes shone like the sapphire glow of the cold moonlight from up above whenever darkness coats over the peaceful glade. Her skin was white like milky snow and her plump red lips, like briar rose. Her beauty was entrancing and captivating, almost too good to be true.

Death, on the other hand, was disliked by almost all. They hated his eccentric raven black hair and ridiculously pale skin. They loathed his intimidating prowess and piercing ash gray eyes that seemed dead almost every passing day. At least that's what they thought. They never understood the irony of how hard it is for Death to try and live every single day without actually not bringing death with just the touch of his fingertips. They never really understood... nor had they even tried to.
