Just where did I go wrong? Eric repeated and wondered about this in his last moments, just before he disappeared from his world.
[Activating 'Flashback'- skill ??? level ???]
Eric heard this message in his head before the black in front of his eyes turned into blinding white light and then-
"Your Majesty! That scum actually had the audacity to make fun of me!" aggrieved the wannabe author complained to the Demon Lord who sat on a golden throne, in the middle of a dark hall. Large with nothing else but the throne.
Eric looked around. He had no body but saw everything clearly. This was clearly a flashback! Why the hell did he get a flashback? Was that related to the ominous message that popped up in his head?
"I told you not to go to the human world," the extraordinarily handsome Demon Lord sighed. Eric saw the toned chest through the cleavage of the loose fitting robe the Demon Lord wore.
"You know it's my ultimate wish to become an author but because of that jerk, that *** and *** -"
Eric's face remained blank as all sorts of slurs and profanities were attached to his name.
In a sense, it still came from an author so Eric treated it as a compliment. So, Eric let it slip, as the wannabe author and presumably son of the Demon Lord cried injustice.
"So what use is it to cry to me?'' the Demon Lord was seemingly annoyed.
"Help me seek justice!"
"You know I can't interfere with the human world but this annoys me, here," with a wave of his hand, a dozen of voodoo dolls fell out, "Take these and curse him so I can go to the human world and take care of him."
"Thanks! I know I can count on you."
The Demon Lord yawned and sent the wannabe author away.
A while later, the Demon Lord appeared in Eric's office. Eric could read the thoughts of the Demon Lord. 'I don't want to do this annoying task, why did I even agree? That idiot got himself into the mess, why do I have to take care of it?'
The Demon Lord, however, felt quite comfortable in Eric's armchair. Then the door opened and the Demon Lord's gaze fell on Eric.
'Interesting.'
Wait no! Stop! Don't think stupid stuff like this! This is literally the beginning of any bad cliché CEO romance story! The ML thinks the FL is interesting and voila- he fell for her.
Eric's editor heart bled and screamed in anguish at the Demon Lord's corny and cheesy thoughts.
'Quite good-looking for a human.'
No, please, I'll die because this awful character!
The moment the Demon Lord's eyes feasted on Eric, the Demon Lord was intrigued. He liked Eric's handsomeness and his silly attempts to pretend to be angelic and calm. The Demon Lord thought it would be great to keep Eric around to have some fun.
Eric choked. His hands and his eyes that threw away so many trash stories and condemned them, were right now witnessing the start of the worst cliché and without-any-reason romance development there was. And he was the target of the oh-so-devilish handsome ML!
How could Eric escape this? How could he free himself? Just when Eric was about to despair, he realised-
Hey, hey what the fuck? Why was the Demon Lord's perspective shown to Eric? At this moment, Eric was thrown out of the flashback and a new message popped up.
[Exclusive Skill- Point of View- activated- with this, the POV of another person can be seen for a brief time.]
[Sub-skill acquired- flashback]
That skill...
That skill was indeed-
"Fucking useless! It helps me a single shit!"
Eric incessantly screamed at the message that floated in the darkness. He should at least get a badass skill like 'Editor benefit- change situations, you deem as trash, as you want.'
Or at least something like 'Survive the Demon Lord hell! Mortal survival guide!'
Anything that wasn't a completely useless gimmick as this POV skill was. Did he care what others thought of him? No! Especially not what a fucking maniac of a presumably Demon Lord thought!
Eric was done, he was so done. He had no idea what happened to him but he remembered he drove over the Demon Lord and then was sent here- which meant the Demon Lord was no joke!
In a situation like this, how useful was a POV skill? Let's compare it to authors. Completely, absolutely, unbelievably not worth a single cent and asskick!
Eric was done. This skill didn't help him at all to escape!
Hello? Eric wanted to get out. At least a system would be great to have but of course, Eric didn't transmigrate, so-
Wait, maybe he could die and-
[Exclusive skill- POV activated]
A large burgundy bed in a giant room with dark blue walls and a chandelier. An intoxicating smell hung in the air while the lights dimmed.
On the bed, Eric saw himself lying unconsciously. Alright, so he was magically teleported somewhere. Great. Fine. At least he wasn't dead. The worst thing, however, was the almost half-naked fine man of a Demon Lord stroking his body!
Screw off! Hands off! I'm a straight and handsome male loved by every female in the world! I know I'm handsome and good-looking but this doesn't give you the right to touch me as you please!
Most of all why does this shitty skill have to be activated now of all times? Fuck this. Turn the skill off! Turn! It! OFF!
[Skill cannot be turned off.]
[Skill will be active until the next morning.]
'I can stare at you the whole night. Your skin's soft.'
Eric's soul almost left his body as he heard the Demon Lord's words and the messages. Shitty skill! Shitty story! Shitty development! He had to endure this until the next morning?
