TWENTY-TWO

The next few days were the same, Lillie kept receiving flowers from Anthony and a few other Lords. However the ones from Anthony were more significant than the rest. The girl didn't know why. It just did.

The flowers she received today were Bluebells. The girl didn't think too much about it. They were just flowers from her best friend. Nothing more, nothing less.

A knock came on her door. "Come in."

In walked Keeton as he smiled. "Sister."

"Brother. Is there something you want?"

Keeton sat on her bed as he watched his sister brush her hair. "How is the courting going?"

"Awful."

"I'm sure it isn't too horrific."

"Well the Prince seems to like me with all the flowers he's been sending me but we have no talked since the ball. That was ages ago."

"Well you received two bouquet of flowers. Whom where the others from?"

Lillie smiled. "Anthony."

"Anthony?" Keeton asked. Was his ship finally happening? "He has sent you flowers?"

Lillie nodded. "He did. They are just a sign to tell me how grateful he is of our friendship. That is all."

"Hm." Keeton did not miss how his sister's face lit up when she started talking about the Bridgerton boy.

"Anything else Brother?"

Keeton shook his head and stood up. "Nothing at all Sister. I shall see you later. Dearest Brother is forcing me to go into town with him to attend some meetings."

"Is Papa not going?"

"He is."

"You shall have a good time with brother dearest. Papa will be there at least."

Keeton chuckled and kissed her sister on the forehead. "Bye Sister."

"Bye Brother."
