SEVENTEEN

"Good morning." Lillie said as she skipped into the drawing room where all her family members were.

Today, the Pendermore girl woke up in a surprisingly good mood.

"Oh Sister dearest is in a good mood." Kygo joked, as he ate his biscuit.

"Dearest, have you thought about whom you would like to dance at tonight's ball?" Lady Pendermore asked her daughter.

"I'm not quite sure. I have some ideas." The girl stated as she took a seat next to her brother. "Lord Kingsley is a fine dancer. Not once did he step on my foot."

"Wow he must be so amazing. Bravo to him." Kygo sarcastically clapped as he earned a punch from the girl. "No biscuits for you."

"Lord Quincy was asking for you at White's last night." Keeton said to the girl.

"Then why didn't he come up to me for a dance?" Lillie asked.

Keeton shrugged. "You tell me Sister. Or perhaps you were too occupied by uh ..." The boy didn't bother to finish his sentence as he knew an argument would arise if he mentioned the Bridgerton boy because Jasper was in the room.

"Ah right! Lord Burlington. How could I forget?" Lillie smiled at her brother as he winked, both going unnoticed by their older brother. Keeton was trying his best to get Lord Bridgerton and his sister together. He found that they fit exceptionally well with one another.

A match made in heaven.

Too bad they're both so blind to see.

"Lord Burlington? I don't recall..." Lady Pendermore said but was only interrupted by Lord Pendermore.

"Oh I remember Lord Burlington. He was an exceptionally fine man. Perfect hair too." Lord Pendermore said as he also winked in the girl's direction. Did her father know too?

Lady Pendermore was confused but shook it off. "Alright. What about Viscount Bridgerton?"

That caught the eldest Pendermore's attention.

Lillie sighed. "Lord Bridgerton has not proposed yet Mama. And I don't think he ever will with how Jasper acts towards him."

"Oh good God. How many times do I have to tell you I want to look out for my sister? It is my du–." Jasper complained.

"Duty. We know." Everyone said causing the Pendermore boy to roll his eyes. He was sick and tired of everyone telling him there is nothing wrong with Anthony and Lillie together.

Oh gosh. Even their names together makes him sick.

Lillie rolled her eyes. "I just want to keep my options open. I don't want to put too many eggs in one basket."

"Wise girl." Jasper smiled and went back to his newspaper.

The Pendermore girl thought about what has happened ever since her debut season started. Sure she has met a lot of different Lords, but none of them really caught her interest. More like she didn't know if she could ever love any of them as much as she loved Anthony.

But she needed to remind herself, she has known Anthony for her entire life. Time allowed her to love Anthony.

Like how time will allow her to love her future husband.
