"Daphne!" Lillie smiled, hugging the girl.
"Lillie! You look absolutely stunning." Daphne smiled at the girl.
"As do you. Did your mother mention dinner tomorrow?"
Daphne nodded. "She did. It would be nice to catch up. I feel like we haven't talked in years."
"That is my fault. Following my brothers around Vietnam was not in the plan."
"Oh you have to tell me all about it." Daphne smiled.
"Of course." The girl smiled then turned her attention to the one person who couldn't keep his eyes off of her. "Lord Bridgerton." Anthony was too distracted with her beauty as he did not say anything back. "Anthony?"
"My apologizes." Anthony snapped out of his trance. "Miss Pendermore you look absolutely stunning as always."
"Why thank you my Lord."
"Care for a dance?" Anthony stuck out his hand for the girl to take.
"Of course." Lillie took the man's hand as they walked towards the dance floor. His hands immediately found the back of her waist as they danced through the floor. The girl drowned out everything else. Her focus was on Anthony as he was the one she was dancing with.
"Everyone here is simply not good enough for you and Daph." Anthony said, eyeing every man that was looking in their direction.
"Must you always have an opinion on everything?"
"Of course. It is my duty to look out for both of you."
Lillie shook her head. "I understand that my dearest Anthony but I also have three older brothers who seemingly are glaring in your direction." The pair turned to their right to see both Jasper and Keeton keeping a close eye on them. Kygo was too busy talking to a redhead that caught his eye.
"I suppose another won't do you any harm."
Lillie chuckled. "Thank you for the flowers."
"Anything for you my dearest Lillie." Anthony smiled at the girl as they continued to dance. Throughout the night, Lillie danced with many different Lords. Some caught her attention, others were simply too boring for her liking.
But she didn't know why she always found herself comparing them to Anthony.
