Chapter 22 | The Empire Grows

After the Republic fleet fled, Jake returned to his ship with Yugito the battle was a success with them only losing 1 Victory-class star destroyer and 600'000 Stormtroopers he's going to leave the other 3 fleets here to defend the planet from the Republic Jake then looked to see if his other 49 attacks were successful most of them were but a few were not with whole fleets being destroyed it's a disappointment but not a loss as with 41 new planets in a couple of weeks he will cover the loss

With Obi-wan and Anakin, they got a report from one of their ships that 4 fleets of Republic Senator Jake had started firing at them destroying most of the fleet Obi-wan was surprised as he was one of the only reasons that the Republic had such a large number of ships in the first place and it didn't make sense to him that he would betray them but he had to report this to the Republic of this change

As the Jedi and his Padawan make it to Coruscant they travel straight to the Jedi Temple to report what they found to The Grandmaster as I walk into the High Council room. Yoda, Mace Windu and Shaak Ti we're in the room waiting for his report Obi-wan starts to recite what happened "We managed to take the plant from the separatists my Padawan fought against a Sith from the separatists and manage to kill it after a drawn out dog fight as me and my Padawan we're on our way to return to Coruscant my Admiral then reports that Senator Jake main fleet with 3 others started a siege of the planet and destroying a large portion of my fleet "

Shaak Ti was correct about her assumption that Jake could be a Sith Yoda thought he then said " The question we should ask is why did he help us, sith he is. Hmm." Mace Windu said "The reason is obviously that the Sith love battle " As the Jedi were debating on why Jake helped them out yoda then finishes their debate early by saying "The Republic we must tell problems there will be "

the Jedi went to the Senate to tell Chandler Palpatine about what they found from Obi-Wan Kenobi's clones as they were telling Palpatine about what they found they saw Jake's hologram appear Obi-Wan was quick to ask "Are you a Sith if you are why did you help us " Jake replied with " how did you find out I knew you would find out that I betrayed you guys but how did you know I was a Sith "

Obi-Wan then recited what Shaak Ti had said "Your last name is Sith royalty so we assumed you were a Sith you admitting it right here proves our Theory, " Jake says "So you know I'm a Sith how does that help you " Anakin was going to quickly reply but then quieted down as he realized there's nothing they can do even if they knew that information

Obi-Wan replies with "There's not much that can help us with except knowing that the Sith survived and they aren't just dark Jedi " Jake started laughing then said "Ahh yes those Jedi who fell into the dark side believing they were Sith. morons the lot of them were, you Jedi better be ready for war we've been preparing secretly for thousands of years you think you can defeat us with those puny numbers you have now "

Jake then ended his holo call he now knows that the Republic knows where his allegiance lies. now he can't go to any of their meetings he doesn't care that much as he still has his 50 spies so he will still know what's happening there when they tell him

It's been 4 days since the Jedi told the Republic about what Jake is none of the Senators cared about the fact as they don't know what that means but what they did understand from that was he betrayed the Republic

Jake is in his ship laying on his bed looking through his holo pad the news is mostly about how a senator left the Republic when he finishes reading the news he gets up and gets ready for the day as he makes it to the bridge of his ship he asks the lead officer " did any of our planets get attacked since the attack " the officer said " yes but it was just pirates trying their chances at a new system " Jake is thinking about why they didn't try to take some of the planets back

As Jake finishes thinking about that he needs to begin planning for what needs to be done to take over the galaxy he knows two planets will give him a strategic advantage over the Republic. but the Republic already knows how important I don't get my hands on them so there are a lot of ships there defending the systems
