Once a Noble from the Savath Empire, Lanseth the leader of the Pure Heart family successfully lead a campaign across the Lost land to unify the defeated lords under one banner.

Now, more than a hundred years later after the abdication of Lanseth,the Pure Heart Empire sits on a steady foundation under the leadership of his Daughter, Iriss Pure Heart who ruled the Empire  with a firm grip deterring those who had evil intensions.

'Damn what the hell is Prince Light doing here' thought the Captain who didn't even notice his back was soaked in cold sweat.

The presence of a member of Royalty in another Empire while being unannounced may spell disastrous consequences if found out,war was the least of the Captains concern now considering he wouldn't even live to see the next day if he makes an error.

"Oh I never knew I'm that famous for people to remember me" said Light in joking tone while wearing a sincere and warm smile.

"I did see your highness in a few years back" responded the Captain in a fawning smile praying the Prince is as kind as the rumors say

"Then how come this Prince doesn't remember you" asked the Prince a questioning tone.

"You jest your highness,in my early years,I was fortunate to have seen a statue built in your image applauding your valiance and bravery when you led the campaign against the Nivendor Empire"

"Oh so  it's like that....well then I'll let you off considering you are a fan of mine" said Light in kind tone harbouring no other thoughts.

"Thank you your highness" replied the Captain who was overjoyed hearing the promise of Light.

"No No don't thank me yet,I did say I'll spare you but I didn't say you might leave here alive did I"

Hearing the words of Light,the Captain whose heart had calmed down shivered in fright but despite the words of the Prince,he didn't attack or order his guard to attack which eased the Captains worries.

"Haha your highness loves to joke__

Hoo…"

All of a sudden, a gust of wind blew near the surrounding

With the soft sound of friction, a black shadow rushed past him without warning towards his teammates

The black shadow moved extremely fast. The groups  formation was completely bypassed before they could even react.

    "Puchi____!"

A tearing sound could be heard followed by a short blade in the black shadow's hand which swiftly left a cut on the neck of 2 of the mercenaries who were guarded at the back

The two grunted in pain while desperately clutching their neck in an attempt to stop the flowing blood from erupting

In mere seconds,the became lifeless corpses stunning the group who woke up from their stupor and their gaze were filled with hatred and fear while looking at the perpetrator

Before them stood a boy around 10years of age with a tall and thin frame,compelling red glowing eyes,crimson messy bun with hairs on the lower neck laying down with loose strands in the front all in all he was very handsome and had a  mysterious spiritual aura emanating from a crimson-dark serpent shaped mark on his neck to his chest

"How dare you,DIE!!!" shouted the Captain who though slow,he quickly launched a heavy slash fueled with all his power and anger aiming to kill the kid in one move

Though extremely fast to the bystanders,the Captains attack was slow to Zephyroth,so slow that he simply leaned sideways evading slash,the captain filled with experience, redirected his attack horizontally aiming to sever Zephyroth's neck in a single motion

"Futile" was all Zephyroth said in an emotionless tone as he casually grabbed the edge of the blade wielded by the Captain stopping the deadly strike while at thesame time plunged his hands coated with a crimson-like miasma directly in to the Captains chest in a swift yet brutal motion

The captain fell on his knees in excruciating pain while clutching his chest looking at his still beating heart with a look of horror

It all happened in an instant giving them almost no time to react which caused them to turn pale looking as if they've seen a ghost

Zephyroth stared at the group with a calm and almost inhumane gaze which scared Milik enough that he had to take a step back while trembling in absolute fear

A muscular mercenary roared in anger as he rushed towards Zephyroth towards seemingly challenging him to a fight.

Though afraid,the rest of the group couldn't stay still so they each rushed towards Zephyroth in aim to cut down the menace

The mercenary executed a powerful vertical slash aiming to split his victim in 2 and split it did when the huge axe tore through Zephyroth like butter without hindrance

The man almost wanted to let out a victorious roar only to discover his target vanished with all that's left in his position being a mirage,a proof of a speed Zephyroth displayed in evading his deadly attack

"Spacial Technique" cried one of the mercenaries stopping the charging mercenaries dead on track when Zephyroth evaded the attack by appearing behind their teammate

Hearing the shout of the man,the others realized they fucked up which further led them to despair knowing escape is not an option when going against a master of space element.

"I'm out of here" said a girl in fearful tone who wore an expensive looking armor and had an appearance which could be considered beautiful.

The others acknowledged her words while fleeing in different directions despite the little chances they have,after all although users of space element are powerful,they are still human and need energy to fuel their technique which might give them a higher chance a chances of surviving

They were merely mercenaries who banded together for a better life and though they were considered friends,naturally, they weren't going to put their lives on the line for a dead person
