18: Separation

"Any change in the perimeter?" - asked a female voice, who was wearing a biohazard suit, although by the curves she was showing despite such a wide suit, it showed that her body was pure dynamite.

"We didn't get any news, my lady" - answered a male voice.

"Really?" - said the woman while frowning - "No information about my daughter either?"

"I'm sorry, Yuriko-sama, but we haven't received any news from Saya-sama, except that she is with Strife-san" - replied the same man while shaking his head.

Yuriko, the woman in the biohazard suit, frowned as she let out a heavy sigh - "Her being with Cloud doesn't appease me in the slightest, not when I haven't heard from her for over a day now."

Yuriko was about to say something else, when she heard the sound of an alarm - "Intruders? Turn on the cameras!"

The subordinates quickly gave her an image of the place where the alarm had sounded, only to see how a group riding on a military humby were roaming the streets filled with zombies - "That's..."

"My daughter!" - Yuriko exclaimed upon seeing the pink-haired girl - "Quickly, I want the raid squad to come with me, it's time to meet my daughter again!"

"Yuriko-sama... they're heading to sector 7" - said a subordinate with a pale face - "Oh no, we have to go fast!"

"Cloud, look ahead!" - Saeko exclaimed with a pale face.

Cloud looked ahead and noticed a huge spiked band line - "Shit, I forgot about that!"

"Forgot?" - Saeko repeated, confused at the blond's words,

"No time for that!" - Cloud exclaimed as he dodged another zombie with a steady speed, making it impossible for him to save himself from this - "Guys, be careful, there's a spike barrier in front of us, slow down and avoid it! We can't let you get your tires punctured!"

Shizuka was surprised to hear this, though her expression changed to one of terror when she saw Cloud's motorcycle turn around after getting stuck with the spike barrier - "Cloud!"

The loud sound of the motorcycle impacting echoed through the place as Cloud and Saeko went flying.

Without a second thought, Cloud grabbed Saeko in his arms to protect her, only to let out a sharp groan of pain as they slammed into the ground - "Ugh..."

"Cloud!" - Saeko exclaimed in discomfort, though she quickly backed him against a wall before running to get her shinai, after all, they couldn't stay unprotected.

Cloud gritted his teeth as he felt a sharp pain coursing through his body.

"Are you okay?" - Saeko asked with concern.

"Yeah, just a little sore" - Cloud replied with a pained smile, though his expression changed as he saw his sword break in half - ". . ."

"Relax, we can fix the problem of your weapon later" - Saeko said with a smile when she saw that the blond was in good condition - "Now we have to worry about those things."

"You're right" - sighed Cloud as he pulled out his gun and prepared for battle, though honestly he felt a little bad about his weapon, and he was also a little uncomfortable with the idea of being unable to engage directly.

"Hmm... Why don't you try a style like in American movies, I mean, hand-to-hand fighting with gun in hand?" - Saeko asked with a huge smile.

"That voice! Mom?!" - Saya exclaimed as she saw a group of armed men walking towards them - "Mom!"

"Hello, Saya, it's good to see you safe" - said the woman in a biohazard suit leading the group - "I know you have a lot of questions, but for now it's time for us to go home."

"But Cloud!" - Saya exclaimed with a pale face.

"I'm not going to put you in danger even if you hate me, that's why I'm sorry" - Yuriko said seriously as she ordered her subordinates to restrain all the people in her daughter's group.

"Wait, don't do this!" - Saya exclaimed with a face as red as a tomato - "Cloud!"

"You can't do this!" - Kyoko exclaimed angrily - "They're going to die!"

"I will say it again, I'm sorry, but my daughter's safety is much more important than that boy's" - Yuriko replied while frowning - "You'll understand when you become a mother."

Kyoko's expression darkened when she heard this, though such it seemed that no one was paying attention to her.

The other members of the group simply walked out of the humby with their hands up, after all, even Kohta understood that he couldn't fight against so many skilled men with firearms - ". . ."

"Cloud!" - Saya shouted as she was dragged out of the place.

"Are you sure this is a good idea, Yuriko-sama?" - asked a subordinate of Saya's mother.

"No, but it's the only thing I can do to ensure the safety of my daughter and my husband's subordinates" - Yuriko replied as she let out a sigh - "I hope you understand me, Cloud-kun."

"Perimeter clear, Yuriko-sama, all the zombies in the area were attracted by the sound of Strife's motorcycle explosion" - said an armed man.

"Understood, it's time to go back" - ordered Yuriko as she took off her containment helmet, revealing the face of a woman in her mid-twenties. She was beautiful, fine features, purple eyes the same color as her hair, though her features were hidden by a heavy expression - "Again I apologize, Cloud-kun..."

"Strange..." - Saeko muttered as she was breathing heavily after fighting for so long - "The others haven't shown up in quite a while."

Cloud didn't respond, he simply checked the number of bullets he had, only to frown as he discovered he had no more than 5 more shots left - "This is bad..."

"What do you think it was that happened?" - Saeko asked, though her expression changed when she heard Saya's yell, so she looked in that direction, only to discover how a group of armed men were escorting them out of the place - ". . ."

"Those are Soichiro's men" - Cloud said with a cold face - "I didn't think he was such a son of a bitch..."

Cloud was angry, no, furious at seeing this, more so when he noticed how Saya seemed to be struggling to break free from her escort's grip, though his expression changed when he saw the woman who was walking next to the armed men - "Yuriko..."

"You know that woman?" - Saeko asked as she looked at the blond with concern.

"She's Soichiro's wife, let's say we have a complicated relationship" - Cloud answered with a cold face - "But it doesn't matter, now we have to get out of here."

"Understood" - nodded Saeko as she noticed a staircase - "Let's go this way."

Cloud nodded and ran after Saeko, taking advantage of the zombies being a bit confused between chasing them or the screaming Saya in the distance.

The duo quickly escaped from the place, sprinting stiffly through the streets while ignoring the surrounding zombies.

"Where do you think we can escape, and where will we go now that we're separated from the group?" - Saeko asked as she wiped the sweat from her brow.

"I think I know of a safe place where we can rest, as for where we'll go, I don't have any thoughts of changing our objective" - Cloud replied neutrally - "I have a few scores to settle with Yuriko..."

Saeko raised her eyebrow when she heard this before nodding - "Understood... And where will we go?"

"To the shrine" - Cloud answered honestly. According to the original plot, that was the safest place in this area, not to mention that the shrine had something that they could use, a real weapon, and maybe there was one more.

"The shrine?" - Saeko repeated with a frown before remembering a detail - "You want to get the ceremonial sword?"

Cloud smiled when he heard this because the purple-haired girl had figured out the main reason for their little trip.

"Interesting... I always wanted to try how it felt to use a ceremonial sword to create a massacre ~" - Saeko said as her cheeks heated up from the enormous lust she was feeling.

"I hope there are two, so at least we can have fun together" - Cloud replied as he shrugged his shoulders.

"There are other ways for the two of us to have fun together" - purred Saeko with her lust still present, after all, there was no need to hold back.
