Chapter 14 - Investigation

"Confirmed. Activating [Magic Sense] to maximum efficiency."

Great, just what I needed. Now, you might be thinking, why do I need to crank my [Magic Sense] to the maximum? Well, it's for investigating my younger sister.

Judging from her behavior, I suspect that she is reincarnated. Now, don't get me wrong here. I don't have any pieces of evidence that suggests that she is but I get the feeling she is one. So how does cranking my [Magic Sense] to the max have to do with this? Well, it is for gathering information.

Now, I can't really handle all of the information that I get from [Magic Sense], especially if I am using it at maximum efficiency. However, my [Unique Skill: Knowledge] can. So using the information that we get, we will be able to calculate the probability that she is in fact a reincarnated one just like me.

"Notice. The probability that this individual 'Kaguya Tsukuyomi' is a reincarnated one is…"

Wait, already? I only just turned on [Magic Sense] a few seconds ago. That's weird. Since when did my unique skill have the capability of calculating this fast when it usually takes around a minute or so to fully break down one of the spells that my sister used days before?

Eh, really?! I thought it will be higher than that! Give me a thorough explanation of why.

"Understood. First of all, your reason that this specific individual is someone reincarnated like you is completely correct. The reason being is that there was unknown energy detected from the individual."

Unknown energy? What is it?

"Answer. It's an energy that anyone who has been reincarnated will emit around them that can only be detected by a high-level detection skill. However, even if one can detect this unknown energy, they will not be able to know that this particular person is reincarnated unless they are an expert at it. The main reason I was able to come to this conclusion is that you are also emitting the same energy. Those who emit this type of energy can detect those who emit them as well."

Ohhh, so that's why she felt similar to me! It was because I felt that energy from her. That's interesting. So anybody who emits this energy means they are reincarnated then. I wonder why they emit it in the first place. Wait hold on, if it's true then why is the probability only 49%, not 100%?!

"Answer. There is a probability that she didn't come from the same world or a similar world as you. There is also the possibility of the individual being someone who is simply reborn."

Oh right, I haven't thought of that! If I think about it, if this world does exist, then there should be a lot of different worlds out there! And there is also the chance of being someone who got reborn, not reincarnated. I thought there wasn't a difference between these two but it seems reincarnation and rebirth are different. Eh, whatever.

Wait a minute, how did you manage to get this kind of information again? You said that you managed to get this information because I was emitting the same energy so how the flip do you know that it meant that anybody who has that is someone reincarnated or similar?!

"Answer. It is simply because of the sub-skill [All of Creation]."

How did I forget about that! [All of Creation] is the ability to comprehend any non-concealed phenomenon in this world. Depending on the things the user understands and the information the user knows about, additional information can be inferred. In other words, the user needs to see the phenomenon at least once.

Because I emit the same unknown energy that my younger sister does as well, I managed to acquire the knowledge about this particular energy which is why my unique concluded that she was reincarnated using that acquired knowledge. That makes sense.

So now the only thing I need to find out is whether my sister was from a similar world as me or from a completely different world or maybe just someone who got reborn. That shouldn't be too hard to deal with. I'll do this myself.

For some time now, I've been trying to get close to my little sister as much as possible by visiting her more while not being too suspicious like bringing our youngest brother with us and tell stories. And while my younger brother plays with toys and stuff, I go closer and talk to my younger sister. She was very shy and didn't talk much for a while but she eventually started talking.

Now, normally kids that are 2-3 years old will probably only say sentences that are up to 8 words at most or maybe a little higher but our family is different. For some reason, by the age of 1, we are already capable of thinking like a 2 or 3 year old, and by the age of 2, maybe 4-5 years old level of thinking and it goes on and so forth. So my sister right now should be able to think like a 4 or 5 year old but judging from her usual habits, I don't think that's the case.

I mean, what kind of 5 year old can read 5 books about literature in less than an hour? She also sometimes ask our parents something and the next day, she gets some crazy amount of books in varying genres like science, magic, history, and some novels. Though, I can't seem to know why my parents think it is a good idea to let their 3 year old daughter to read these stuff but I guess this is why she was called a genius or a prodigy when it comes to knowledge. Don't know how that really correlates to being a genius but I digress.

Anyway, she seems to smart for a 3 year old in my opinion, maybe it's because she is like what they said, a genius, but considering the evidence I have, I think she is reincarnated. The problem is whenever I talk about things that correlates to my previous world such as mangas or novels, she doesn't really react that much. But whenever I talk about very famous people in ancient history then she reacts. Is she from a different time period than I do? Also the reason why I was talking about ancient history is mainly the fact that there are many cool stories about it but moving on-

"Onii-chan…"

"Yes, Kaguya?"

"Umm, can you pwease tell me about those cool stories you always tell us? I want to know the next part!" Her eyes were filled with excitement. The story she was talking about was a somewhat famous novel called '*mniscient R*ader's V*ewpoint' so I never thought she would be interested in that but she actually liked it?! Now, that's new.

"Ok, sure! But can I ask what you liked about it?" I still haven't figured out if she is like me or not but I guess I can figure it later.

"Umm, I like the concept of the story."

Hmm, that's odd. She is actually using some advanced words. She usually just talk like a 4 year old but I've never heard her saying words this advanced.

"Well, I'm happy that you like it, so then let's-"

"Wait, I have a question…"

I nodded. I mean it's just a question so it will-

"Are you reincarnated like me?"
