Chapter 3.3 - PRIDLAS!!!

AMOS'S BACKSTORY:

Today was like any other day, I would go to school, and then come home to practice magic with my parents, or so I thought...

As I open the front door of my house, my parents didn't come to meet me, which they usually did. So instantly I got a little suspicious.

"MOM?...DAD?" I shout as I walk further into the house, but no one answered...

Immediately I run back to the front door, but before I could reach it, the door slams shut...

I still keep running to the door, turning and pulling the lock, but the door doesn't budge.

"AmOs" a ghostly voice calls out, I quickly turn around, but nothing's there.

"WHO ARE YOU!!!" I shout but the voice doesn't answer

"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY PARENT'S AND BROTHER?"

Suddenly a ghost-like creature comes crawling on the walls from the corner...

It stops a few inches from me...

"oH, yOu'Re FaMiLY?"

"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO THEM?"

"YoU'lL fInD OuT SoOn!!!"

It suddenly launches at me, and I quickly scream a offensive spell...

"FIRE I SUMMON, BRIGHT AND HOT, BURN MY ENEMY!!!"

As I say that incantation, I pull my hand out to the creature, and a stream of fire hits it.

It screams in agony, and I quickly take the opportunity to find my family...

As I search through the house cautiously, I can't find them, but I quickly remember a locator spell my brother taught me.

I have to find something belonging to that person and enchant it.

I quickly rush back to my mother's room, pick up a necklace from her dresser, and enchant it with my magic...

It glows and floats into the air...

I follow it through the back door and into the woods...

luckily it wasn't dark yet so I was able to see where I was going...

As I follow the necklace further into the woods, I start to hear muffled screams...

Suddenly, I see three figures tied around a tree with blood dripping down their feet...

"NOOO!!!"

I run towards them trying to untie the rope that's surrounding them, but it's useless...

"son...you...have to...leave...us," my mom said with a weak voice

"N-no, I-i'm not going anywhere" I reply with tears running down my face

"It's too dangerous" my dad warns me

"I don't care, I'm not leaving"

Suddenly I hear a scream coming from the house...

"Use Banishing spell but hide first," Amis says

I quickly scurry behind a tree that's close enough so that I would be able to see my family...

Suddenly the creature stops in front of my family...

"WhErE Is hE?"

"PRIDLAS!!!, YOU WILL NOT HAVE HIM" my mom screams with all her remaining energy...

He screams at my mom and tries to stab her with its sharp claws...
