The punishment

The Phoenix Palace 

"Now it's your turn ."said The high priest ,looking at him disgustingly as if he had committed a grave crime.

"High priest ,I think I made it clear enough that she is with me." Stated the princess, she was looking at Alistair ,who was still proceeding the following events.

"Princess ,you should discipline your servants about the rules and regulations that we follow here." Said the High priest and this time he was aided by the General.

"You are right ,I should discipline her but I think you don't have the right to lecture her." Said she ,her voice sounded like a subtle threat to him. 

The high priest was aggrieved and he was ready to counterattack the argument of the little girl who was half his age.

However, The king coughed to signal them to stop and he then proceeded, "So ,miss mage I guess you are ready for the trial and princess you should discipline your servant."

This marked the end of their argument and also gave Rise time to prove her worth but the girl who was kneeling down was not backed up by anyone.

"Sir,what about  me?" murmured that girl,her voice was stamped down hardly those words came out from her mouth and she was shivering with cold sweat gathered up on her forehead.

"You dare to speak ,this all happened because of you." Said the General ,and black magic came out of his hand strangling the girl's neck.

"Ah,ahhh" ,she struggled,"sir,I am sor.." she tried to speak but couldn't because of the pressure that formed around her neck and body.

"This is because of your audacity and now on behalf of the justice and king you would die." Said the General ,twisting his palm to turn her head slowly.

Alistair and Rose both looked at the scene that took place there and they were surprised to see that nobody present there was protesting. 

Alastair greeted his teeth and he tried to step forward in order to end this inhuman torture but ,he found Rose glaring at him slowly turning her neck with her eyes pointed at him.

He understood that Rose was preventing him from stepping up and he too knew that he might end up getting Jo's neck twisted.

"Yo,I am sure you are not thinking to help her and step up again." Said she ,while freezing his legs with an icy chain.

"Hey ,but this is inhuman ,how can you all stay silent and see somebody getting strangled to death." Said He ,his eyes showed obvious signs of worry and disgust, his cheeks twisted forming a blush and his lips parted.

It was hard for anyone to distinguish him from any girl if they didn't know his true gender.

That girl smiled and with a soft glare she said,"This is the land where the strong rule ,no law prevails here." 

"But what about the king ,he too is not stepping up." Said Alistair, he was struggling to get free but he couldn't. 

She smirked but didn't say anything and instead just looked at the girl getting strangled.

Soon the pressure was lifted and everyone saw that the girl's neck was twisted and her breath was taken away.

"Thup" a loud noise was here the corpse fell down and her cold and bluish body was laid on the floor.

Alistair saw that Rose was shocked she was trying to stay strong ,he noticed that the chain was now lifted and he ran towards her and hugged her.

This was the hug that Alistair was trying to give her ,he was trying to hold it back but seeing that scene made him lose his rationality .

Everyone was silent and surprised at this action ,Rose understood the situation and pushed him back.

"I am a mage ,How dare you do this?"said She ,her words carried a sharp heart cooling tone .

"You don't have to become a hero here .Princess please discipline her." Said Rose ,her face showed no emotion. 

Alistair now came back to his senses and he understood the gravity of the situation, "how could he be so irresponsible?"he thought.

"She was scared  Miss Mage hence she did that  ,but rest assured I will punish her." Said the princess ,while walking towards Alistair.

All the people present there were not convinced by this answer but they couldn't possibly argue with the princess.

"Your Majesty ,you saw that this maid had already made mistakes twice ,I urge you to punish her." Said the High priest ,looking at the king with a hopeful face.

"You are right, High priest but don't you think that the General killing somebody in the presence of a king is a great offence? " said the king,he smirked while he looked at the corpse. 

The high Priest was astounded, for a moment they were agitated and forgot the rules and committed a grave crime.

"General , I think you should be punished twice because you killed someone during the holy ceremony. " said the King, shifting his gaze to the General.

All the courtiers were surprised and the General tried to defend himself but couldn't because it was obvious that he broke the rule.

"General then for the first punishment you will be stripped of two achievements and go down a rank and for the second one, you will be suspended from the army for three months."said the king.

"For you ,Who was brave enough to step up but have defied some rules will have to kneel down for an entire day in the Fire lance room." Continued he and with this he dispersed the assembly.

After that the ceremony was called off and everyone was dispersed but some novels and the priest were not happy. 

Alistair and Rose were their new target now ,Not only that  but the king and the princess to have their eyes upon them.

Their fate were again tangled with each other and now new challenge started.
