ARC 2.2: Queen Iwa

"Yes" she sighed as the details of Queen Iwa's life, before she died, was transmitted in her head.

Queen Iwa's life was a sad and lonely one.

She was the daughter of a General in an ancient era. She was raised with only one goal in life, to be crowned Queen. Her family, the Laoyue, held a lot of power and influence in their country. To top it off, the men in their family was ambitious and proud. Especially her Father.

They alligned themselves with the Third Prince, Feng Liwei, and successfully helped him win the throne. After he was crowned King, Iwa was automatically crowned and pronounced as his Queen.

However King Feng Liwei has a childhood sweetheart, Chonglin Mei. He could never forget nor replace her in his heart. So he also married her and pronounced her as his Noble Consort.

But every year King Feng brought in more women into his back palace. After 5 years he has accumulated 50 different women in his Harem. All of them were his concubines, but all the while Chonglin Mei, his noble consort, was the only one he consistently favoured and spent most of his time with.

Although Queen Iwa held the highest seat in the back palace, she was too kind and too innocent to the point of naivety. She didn't know how to scheme or defend herself from anything the concubines, Chonglin Mei and even the King throws against her.

Because of this the King lost favor with her.

Over the time, the King slowly suppressed Queen Iwa's family, before he supressed her, with the help of the concubines schemes and traps in which she beguilingly fell into all of it.

Queen Iwa was then stripped off of her title and was forced to live in the cold castle in her lifetime. There were no trials held nor investigations made against the claims on her. Since King Feng Liwei wanted to supress her family in the beginning, he turned his eyes the other way and let her fall into ruin.

Throughout Queen Iwa's life, she really did love the King unconditionally. He was her first love. She could only swallow her grief towards his treatment. And hoping one day the King would realise her feelings and reciprocate it.

When she died, her last wish was to have her husband, King Liwei, love her back. If she could only hear him one last time, to tell her that he loves her, she would give anything just to have that one time.

Hope everyone had a Merry holiday. i spent mine with a flu 😂

i still have a fever today tho. and so does my eldest daughter. hopefully it will be gone soon. dont wanna spend the new years eve like this cuz I'd be wasting the opportunity to eat foods that i cant eat on a regular basis! lol 😂 #poorkidmoments 😂😂
