Ley was cornered to a wall by Landon. Looking at his eyes, she couldn’t delay things any further. “I don’t do relationships, Landon unless you want a fling,” she mustered the courage to tell him. “What I have in mind for us is not just a fling,” he rasped while his gaze darkened. “There goes your answer,” she shrugged him off but suddenly his lips descended on hers. He kissed as if he wanted to possess her very being. She pushed him away while gasping, “I thought you didn’t want a fling?” “I said I didn’t want a fling, not that I didn’t want to kiss you,” he smirked before leaving her a searing gaze that spelled anything but over. — Ley took a job to escape her Father’s command to go home to marry the heir he chose for her. The job was supposed to be simple and boring until she got involved deeply with the man she’s trying to protect. Will she stick with the lie she keeps telling her whole life or will she finally let it all go and embrace what she truly is? ***PROOFREADING IN PROGRESS*** Disclaimer: I don’t own the rights to the image used to make the book cover, all rights belong to the original creator.
Great novel! There are different worlds, each with fantastic mysteries waiting for the leading character to discover. When he gets stronger to a certain level, he gets the chance to explore a new world. There's a lot drama going on in each stage. New characters don't come out of no where, they all appear with reasons, be it good or bad, which makes the plot all the more charming. Just like the way the leading character rises from nothing, especially with his spiritual vessel being taken away. And besides the common spiritual cultivation, he is also a spiritual tattooist who knows how to use formations to his advantage.
