I like the book and story of the main character it’s starts off well but the mc is young and he gets himself involved in some stupid things when his growth is already laid out. I’m at chapter 47 and already want to drop it so badly but I like the runic idea it’s what got me past chapter 10. I’ll make this comment be spoiler alert ‼️ But where I am at the MC is literally pulling himself out of a great spot to develop himself for years and obtain knighthood what isn’t even forced plus not strings attached academy. For a kid in a different kingdom who is in a bad situation. Also the thought that the knight brought the kid back to get excucted and not killing him on the spot for what he did is really pulling the strings and snapping them of my patience

I didn't really like the story but I recognize the effort of the author. Story development and character design got 3 stars. The rest got five stars. Frankly, this didn't feel like a fanfic. Just a bad version of Re zero where Subaru die less. Absolutely all events until where I stopped are similar to Canon aside from some very small differences(Subaru not dying.) I think that a fanfic should always leave Canon. But that just me. I know many many fics who follow the same style of only slightly changing Canon. For me, when I read a fic I want to see different situations and different outcomes. For example in CH 1 the way the mc talked with Reinhard, he could have entered the knighthood or decided to help the thief become queen rather than Emilia. He could have even left the kingdom and went somewhere else or he could have joined the witches cult. All in all Re zero is such a large world and it's kinda sad that the author just focusing on Canon event without even changing the outcomes of said events. Still, the author isn't bad. His writing is good and if I had never read Re zero I would have liked it.
