This is a fantastic novel with a captivating story set in a historical period that hasn't been explored much. Whenever this era is examined, the perspective is usually Roman, or at best, that of the Chinese Empire. But no one has told a story about the Middle East from the perspective of the Persian Empire. I wait an read the updates with pleasure; but cannot understood why the protagonist is called "gigolo". Don't know if the original meaning is lost in the translation but as Google says the word gigolo means the protagonist is paid or "financially supported" (is is basically the same) by a woman, to be her escort or lover. But the protagonist is actually quite the opposite - thanks to the knowledge and the stuff from the Earth, the protagonist is posed to become the most useful citizen of the Empire, up the the actually saving the Empire itself.
