So how did this seemingly good boy beat the crap out of another kid at school? Before that question could be answered one would have to learn more about Qie Xieling.
His parents were very influential people owning the best gaming company in the world. Yes sure, their competitors weren't lagging that far behind but they owned the most complex gaming technology in the world that was very difficult to replicate.
Many companies wanted to get hold of this technology and even went as far as attempting kidnapping but it was all foiled. Qie Xieling's identity was very questionable. He had no mother but he resembled both his fathers.
When he was out with Qie Ranzhe people would say he looked like Qie Ranzhe but when he was out with Wen Qinxi people would also say the same.
No one knew where he came from but Qie Xieling knew. He definitely came from the both of them and he loved his dads but there was one thing that he couldn't take.
They were too obsessed with each other. This meant each time he turned his head they were either hugging, kissing or touching. Sure their intimacy was within appropriate boundaries but Lin Lin was so annoyed.
Half the time he would roll his eyes with a snort. Normally that would be a very good thing to have parents who love each other but if you are the only child you might find yourself a bit neglected.
So one could only imagine his excitement when his dad told him that he was going to preschool. How amazing was that? He was so excited that he was about to make new friends so they could have play dates and sleepovers.
He was so excited that he didn't even say goodbye to his two dads. If they didn't beckon him back he would have left with no remorse.
When he entered the school his little feet suddenly froze as nervousness set in. Yes, he wanted to make friends but he didn't even know how to play with other kids.
He nervously stood by the door while clenching his little fist. Just when he thought of making a u-turn and asking his dads to home-school him a hand suddenly touched his.
When he turned to glare at the person touching him he saw a very cute little girl staring at him with a beaming smile. She was so friendly and sweet that it made it difficult for Qie Xieling to refuse her.
He let her tug her along and asked that they sit together. He was so happy that he didn't even have to open his mouth to make a friend. He soon learnt that her name was Bi Yu and the two of them naturally clicked.
They drew together, played together during break time and ate together. One could say they were two peas in a pod. Well, that was until Lin Lin learnt how fickle her heart was. One day Luo Muchen the quietest boy in class and the most isolated one in preschool had a birthday party at his home.
His best friend or at least he considered her to be, abandoned him for Luo Muchen all for unicorn cupcakes. Unicorn cupcakes?! At first, Qie Xieling thought it was nothing. Everyone else was fawning over the cupcakes because they were all decorated differently and the others would pick one according to the cartoons they liked or movies they liked.
One of them even had Zod, a famous game character in his dads' game and Luo Muchen gave it to him when he saw him just standing there without getting one. There were nice games and fun rides that stole the hearts of these little kids.
When Qie Xieling went home he was a little upset so his dad asked him what was wrong. When he said what was wrong, his dad said that it was probably nothing. Tomorrow he would be back to being friends with Bi Yu like nothing happened.
But his dad who was never wrong was actually wrong this time. Yu Yu ignored him after that. She would sit with Luo Muchen, draw with Luo Muchen and even the spot next to her at nap time was reserved for Luo Muchen.
Lin Lin really thought they were friends but Yu Yu just ditched him just like that. He tried to talk to her and when he said something funny she would say that wasn't funny at all and then turn around and tell Luo Muchen the same joke.
Now, Lin Lin might behave like his dad (Wen Qinxi) most of the time but he definitely inherited his father's temper.
His anger was slowly building up. Wen Qinxi could see that his little dumpling was about to pop thus he decided to help his son by making handmade vanilla sugar cookies with royal glaze.
They had tiny horns, ears and closed eyes just like a unicorn. Wen Qinxi even went as far as making a flower headband made of fondant and packed them in a nice box. He gave it to his son to give to Bi Yu and hopefully get his friend back.
The plan was simple. Bi Yu liked unicorns and these vanilla sugar cookies were decorated like unicorns. All his son had to do was give them to her and they would be friends again.
Lin Lin was so excited. He held the box close to his heart the entire time and when he got to preschool he placed the box in her cubby. He couldn't wait to see her reaction when she saw the cookies. But the moment he was anticipating didn't go as planned.
When she saw what was in the cubby she assumed that it was from Luo Muchen and ran to him before hugging him excitedly.
Lin Lin, "..."
What kind of reaction was he supposed to have? He could have cried in disappointment but the last time he cried was when he was three. He could sulk on the table but he wasn't the kind of person who sulks. What did Lin Lin do? He let out all that pent-up anger but waited until they were on break.
He walked over to the sandbox where Bi Yu was showing off her sand castle. He kicked Luo Muchen's artistic-looking sand castle.
Things could have ended there but Yu Yu had added fumes to the fire. She kept saying that Lin Lin shouldn't be jealous because she was now best friends with Mu Mu. She also said that he should go away because she didn't want him there. She was very rude but that didn't excuse Lin Lin's response.
When he was walking away Luo Muchen got up and grasped his arm. That in Lin Lin's eyes was a provocation. He impulsively hit Luo Muchen and they fell together on the ground.
Yu Yu tried to pull him off of Luo Muchen while yelling for him to stop hitting her friend and that this was why she was no longer friends with him. Her words were further fuelling the flames and Lin Lin hit him one more time before the teacher separated them.
Bad right? This was the reason why his dads were called and it was ironically the thing that set off a feud between the two of them.
