Definitely one of the better asoiaf fics out there, I’m suprised to be the first review on here. The Writing quality & pacing was not that good at the start but as the story’s gone on it’s vastly improved. I cant really tell exactly whats going on with all the different, gods, faiths, & supernatural entities in the story right now but I feel like the Old Gods, the main faith of the North, the First Men, Greenseers, Children of the Forest, and most probably the Giants too are being a bit under played. With start ups of the other faiths and that drowned god, Grey King, or Nereus Worshipper going into the North I feel like this would probably cause much more conflict then we’re seeing. Also I know the supernatural realm is supposed to be more Ambiguous is ASOIAF Universe, but there is not a doubt in my mind that the Old gods are definitely one of the realer Supernatural deities, along with the Red God, Drowned God, Many Faced God, Storm God, & a Few others. I just don’t really wanna see a lack of respect to the old gods as they are literally the oldest religion in Mainland westeros and have magical bleeding trees with faces, elf like children, sorcerers who can turn into animals, & Mammoth riding Giants who worship them. It wouldnt make a lot of sense to me for a Stark of all people to turn to any other faith other than the old gods, their house is descended from Garth the Greenhand a man who planted Weirwood Trees, Bran the builder who built the Wall, and Possibly Storms End. Their House has ruled the north for thousands of Years and are older than the Valyrians and their First Men ancestors worshipped the Old Gods even before that. I Personally think the Old Gods should just be Given more Power.
