In 1910, Charles Smythe inherits a ranch from his late uncle. With some misgivings about leaving his life in England, he finally arrives in Arizona Territory only to meet one of his employees, an experienced hired hand named Sombra. In Sombra, Charles finds not only the perfect man to teach him all he needs to know about ranching, but also the masterful lover he has always craved. Can he build a real relationship this time, especially with a man so different?<br><br>As a youth, Sombra fled his New England home in disgrace when his first homosexual affair become public knowledge. Upon arriving in Arizona, he found employment with Dabney Darwin, Charles's uncle, and the kindly English expatriate fashioned him into the son he never had. But when Dab's nephew arrives to assume ownership of the property, Sombra is not sure how to take young Charles.<br><br>Yet he soon discovers that "taking Charles" is exactly what they both need ... and desperately desire.

Currently in chap 52. Initial chaps may give an impression of normal CN cultivation novel but as it progresses, specially around chap 45+ it kinda gives LOTM vibes. It's good. May get better or worse.
3.8, while there's only 13 chaps, lets see: Writing, so-so, there are few issue in the few first chap like grammar, capitalization, read flow. However, these issue lessened by the next chap. that's good job done well. (U might want to edit and polish 1-3 chap tho, these are golden chaps!) Updates, great job, keep that a chap a day update! Story, nothing much can be concluded rn, butttt i wish the plot arent that so much serious, i cant find something to tickle me and laugh in these 13 chaps, all were in serious mood! i kinda need soomething to balance it off. Character, this is almost down bad, just saying about the character's name is boring, something must be done about it. I knew this wont be an easy feat considering almost the entire availbe chaps were all in serious mood, but im sure a balance between this and the plot is also important, Overall, okay-ish, its too early to come into a conclusion, hope that will be more complex layer to the story like romance, friendship, mentorship, etc to be woven, cuz right now, it cant see it happen (in these early chaps tho), cheeers!
