Inilah yang dialami oleh Daud. Dalam pergumulannya, mungkin ia banyak bertemu dengan teman yang memberi nasihat, tetapi tidak ada satu pun yang memberikan pertolongan. Daud menyadari sepenuhnya bahwa sumber pertolongannya adalah dari Allah. Daud menuliskan dengan jelas tentang pertolongan yang ia dapatkan dari Tuhan dalam tulisan mazmurnya. Yang pertama, Daud mengungkapkan ucapan syukurnya tentang Tuhan yang telah mendengar seruan doanya dalam kesesakannya dan kekuatan baru yang diterimanya (ay. 1-3). Kedua, Daud menyatakan harapannya kepada Tuhan yang dimuliakan dan keadilan yang telah ditegakkan-Nya (ay. 5). Tuhan tidak pernah berdiam diri saat melihat umat-Nya diperlakukan tidak adil dan di saat yang tepat Tuhan menegakkan keadilan-Nya. Dan ketiga, Daud menyatakan kepercayaan dan permohonannya kepada Tuhan (ay. 7-8). Daud percaya bahwa Tuhan pasti akan menunjukkan pertolongan kepada setiap orang yang berharap kepada-Nya dan akan menyelesaikan setiap pergumulan yang dihadapinya. Dari pengalaman Daud kita belajar untuk tetap berharap dan yakin dalam melangkah menuju hari depan. Sekalipun tantangan dan pergumulan berat telah menanti di hadapan kita, namun kita tetap percaya bahwa pembelaan Tuhan terus menaungi umat-Nya.
