Yelena came from a conservative family. All her actions had to conform to their rules— she always had to wear clothes that went over her knees; she had to go straight home after school; vices, hanging out, having a boyfriend, or courting were forbidden. She was supposed to focus only on studying. She was happy, yes, she was, back then. But as time passed, she began to feel suffocated. There were many things she had yet to experience.
