I am giving the low world background because of the physics problems. The author mentions speeds like 200m/s 100m/s as the maximal speed of some engines. They are in space and in space, there is no terminal velocity other than the speed of light so engines can keep accelerating until they reach it. In space, the speed is almost of no consequence. The only important is relative speed or delta-v (delta velocity). That is a difference of speed between two objects. If the author wants to express the power of engines he/she should express it as acceleration and not speed. Speed starts to matter only in the atmosphere because the friction of air introduces terminal velocity. To surpass this terminal velocity you need to increase engine power and when the speed increases so does the friction so to keep increasing maximal speed you need to increase engine power. In space, there is no friction and therefore no force that limits the maximum achievable speed of shuttler/ space fighter/rocket/missile/escape pod. The only terminal velocity in space is the speed of light and only when objects is moving in relativistic velocities the engine speed maters. So if there is some engine speed limit it should be in percents of C that is about 2000000 m/s upwards and more likely 10000000 m/s and absolutely nowhere as lows 200 m/s. I like the story but these physics problems introduce in me a such massive dissonance. (That is't how reality works like). The other sci fi things aren'T that problematic but this is to me so fundamental that it breaks me out of the story. And it would be so easy to fix it wouldn't affect the story much and I would be glad to give a much higher rating than what I given now.

The Deltadromeus (scientific name: Deltadromeus, meaning "Delta-runner") was a carnivorous dinosaur of the Ceratosaurus class. It lived in North Africa during the Upper cretaceous period, about 95 million years ago. Its hind legs were strong and slender, which indicated that it was a fast predator. An unpublished study showed that it might be one of the longest carnivorous dinosaurs, with a length of 13.3 meters and a weight of about 3.5 tonnes. It was longer than the carnivorous dinosaur's lower order, but a more complete specimen was estimated to be 8.1 meters long. The Deltasaurus fossil was first discovered by Gabrielle Leon in 1995 and described by Paul Sereno the following year. Its skeletal fossils were found together with the larger Sharktooth Dragon, probably living at the same time as the larger Spinosaurus. The model species is the agile Deltasaurus (D. agilis), which was considered a fast animal because its body structure was good for running. The Deltasaurus was originally described as a large coelothoracic dragon that was close to a wounded dragon, and was later classified as a Ceratosaurus. In 2016, Guarichusaurus was published, making it a hard tail dragon, and it was thought to be a secondary synonym of the Bahalian dragon. Its specimen was found in the Kem Kem Beds in Morocco. The known skeleton was only part of the vertebrae, forelimbs, scapula, coracoid, and incomplete pubis and hind legs. The fossil was incomplete. Although it was initially thought to be a predator, it was later thought to belong to the Northwest Artigosaurid family, which had a slender body, long neck and legs, and mainly fed on plants and small animals, but this view was still controversial. Well, it can be. It has its own niche following. You see, this genre combines the elements of space exploration and a sense of order and protection that a patrol implies. Some of the classic works in this genre have influenced subsequent science fiction works. However, compared to broader science fiction categories like cyberpunk or dystopian, it might not be as widely known, but still has a dedicated fan base.
