translation is kinda iffy early/mid story, but for some reason mc gets promoted to Sound Hashira instead of Thunder even though he was the student of the former thunder hashira and was the main breathing style he used. Tengen also doesn't lose his hand and retire after Entertainment District so there's no reason for that position to open afterwards.
