i have just finished reading the third volume and all I can say is that the plot is thick. and also the haremish beginning with so many women were irritating as fk. anyway, no, thick is an understatement despite somethings i have already guessed and confirmed. like the moment the talks about silas's play came, i just knew dude was trying to kill Charlotte. about the plot. so far, there have been potential fmls. margeret, karina, astrid, roselyn karina will have to die. astrid's relationship will fall apart when she learns the truth of her mothers death. why? because vanitas wont bother clearing up the misunderstandings. and not like he can anyway. rosalyn is in dangerous wayers because karina told her the truth. and margeret is the most likely, but even then daddy astrea most likely destroyed the illenia kingdom but she was saved by uour mc. lets see. hope the ending will be satisfying.

The novel started off pretty well, even though it was obvious that the core idea was heavily inspired by another story. The author borrowed several arcs from similar novels — for example, the prison arc — but failed to integrate them smoothly into the main narrative. As a result, many of these arcs feel disconnected and unnecessary. Instead of moving the plot forward, the story often relies on drama purely for the sake of drama. New arcs keep appearing, and some of them have almost no impact on the overall story. Honestly, it feels like you could remove a quarter of the chapters and nothing important would change. Another issue is how certain characters are completely forgotten. Rosalyn is probably the best example. After the abandoned “coin” plotline, the author never really found a meaningful role for her again. I also have a lot of questions about the power system. At one point, it was revealed that the protagonist was supposedly a Grandmaster in wind magic, but afterward, this power system was almost entirely ignored and never properly developed. Most of his growth comes from quests that simply increase his mana capacity, and that’s basically it. In my opinion, the author also pushed the protagonist way too suddenly into the ranks of the seven strongest people. The problem is that character strength is never clearly measured or explained — it all feels arbitrary. One character is stronger simply because the author says so, while another is weaker because their magic is apparently “worse.” The LitRPG system itself barely feels relevant to the protagonist, and honestly, removing it entirely wouldn’t change much about the story. Even after stats and attributes were introduced, they had almost no meaningful impact on the plot or character progression. That said, the author is genuinely good at writing emotional moments and morally gray situations. However, there are times when it becomes excessive and feels forced rather than natural. Overall, I really enjoyed the first 100 chapters, but after that, the pacing barely changed. The plot only started moving near 220 chapters, and I stopped at the end of the 5th volume. Spoiler Warning One moment that especially frustrated me was the time-travel subplot. The girl who traveled back in time chose not to save the protagonist’s sister because she believed he would never take the dragon threat seriously otherwise. In my opinion, this was a terrible way to handle both the sister’s death and the reasoning behind it. The story basically suggests that the protagonist needed emotional trauma to become stronger, as if his sister’s death existed purely to motivate his power growth. Another thing I disliked was the reveal that this same time traveler had secretly been saving the protagonist throughout the entire story. For me, that twist undermined many of the protagonist’s own achievements and made his accomplishments feel far less meaningful.
