The story started off great, seemingly average guy finding out his family and friends are not so average and entering a larger world himself. His struggle to become stronger for his family’s sake was a great driver. He’d also gathered several great women around him to help further his drive. But unfortunately two huge mistakes were made by the author that have completely collapsed my interest in this book. The first was when one of the MCs women is stolen from him by a side character that is that girls cousin. I understand their race has a tendency to be attracted towards each other but that is not a valid enough excuse for this betrayal. She was exclusive with Chris and he treated her well and loved her, she had no reason to betray him. I’d understand somewhat if he mistreated her or they were always just toys for each other but that wasn’t the case. It started out as just fwb using each other for release but it definitely had grown into something more. But then suddenly she meets this guy and she still has sex with Chris but craves her cousin too and then goes after him betraying Chris. To somewhat of the guys credit he said he’s not a wife stealer and only wants girls that are only his…. She then goes and commits the ultimate betrayal and says her and Chris were never anything and to make her only his and then has a sexathon with him….this immediately turned me off from the book because I hate NTR unless the one being NTR’d genuinely deserves it for neglecting and abusing their partner, but this isn’t the case here… that said I’d really liked the story up until that point so despite my misgivings I decided to put it to the side for a little bit and see if the author could recover the situation…. But then the author said they’d start adding in short stories every so often which I was like ok, could be interesting…. But how they Implemented it completely destroyed any remaining hope for the novel. Instead of inserting them naturally within the main storyline they decided to interrupt the main story and create actual individual story novellas in between which completely throws off any rhythm in the reading of the overall arch. Then to compound on issues when we do return to the main story it hasn’t been where we left off it’s like the story teleported which destroys any cohesion. My advice to any prospective readers even without the NTR but also especially because of the NTR is to run from this novel like the plague in its current state…. My advice to the author is to stop where you are before you do any more damage and rethink everything. Redo your storyboard, change how you handle short story intermissions, alway focus on maintaining the flow and cohesion of the story and also remove NTR (that isn’t deserved because of abusive tendencies) from the story although. Suspend the current novel and do a complete rewrite as where this one has gone is not worth continuing. Wish you the best of luck with all future endeavors author because I do see some talent and I think this story can be great, just not like this, you’ve taken too many wrong turns to recover from. Also last tidbit this story can only be harem at least with the way it has been seen so far. It’s fine for the sister to be posseivelu yandere, but you can also let that coexist with other wives when done properly so that those that love him aren’t hurt or left behind. If you want this to be single FL than you should never introduce any other main characters with feelings for him, blip side character one night stand types would be fine but no recurring and important character should ever develop feelings otherwise it’s impossible to escape a harem ending without doing story destroying backlash….

I love and hate this novel. After reading DSB, you already know what happens at the end of this one. A story about LXY and LBB and how they fall in love, but it isn't so simple. they started off as friends with benefits. LBB had her womanly needs plus she was also trying to get over the love of her life XS. She and XS dated for 4.5 years up until college. Then he suddenly broke up with her which destroyed her heart. Skip 5 years forward, you have the same time frame as DSB. After being FWB with LBB, LXY falls for her hard. LXY is described as having higher specs than XS. Taller, stronger, richer, and more handsome. But LXY could never pry LBB's heart away from XS. Even in her depression when she opened up and leaned on LXY the most her heart stayed with XS. Then, she finds out the truth. XS has terminal long cancer which leads to him breaking up with her in order to focus on the company. But it also isn't as simple as that. XS is described as a kind loving man who holds LBB above all. In order to prevent her tears for his inevitable early death, he pushed her away. LBB eventually finds out about the sickness and they get back together. Flash forward 3.8 years and XS's time to die is upon us. It is revealed that LBB and XS first child is actually LXY. XS knew but loved her as his anyway. He starts to bring back LXY into the scene to prepare for his death. In my thoughts while LXY and LBB have their moments, the true couple is XS and LBB. They have gone through a lot together and even LXY couldn't keep them apart. Its saddening that XS will die, but I am happy that at least he got to have LBB as a wife and that they spent time together. And even if the daughter isn't his, they have a son together. As a character I place XS above everyone else in both books. His kindness, self sacrificing nature, heart, and actions speak volumes about who he is as a person, as a man. I know that this is supposed to be LBB and LXY story but are they really the superior couple over LBB and XS? The novel is still ongoing but I have my doubts. No matter how the author spins it, the true ending should have been for XS. Oh, well. Such is life. Hopefully a spin off can be written where XS lives instead. **, just like in DSB both XM and LBB first children are a product of rape. Yup, LXY raped LBB when he had her prisoner. He came back drunk and annoyed and forced himself on her. Unlike where LY had different circumstances, LXY doesn't have any excuse.
