archetypal romance

Some twists on archetypal plot devices are somewhat humorous while definitely being intriguing by the end. Most characters show depth as they grow in the story! Main problem is no updates for 5 months which is really sad! Author got unfairly berated for showing such common starter scenes, but clearly was going in another direction than what audience thought.

The plot was surprisingly very well thought out. The female lead is able to be a strong role model for women in industry while letting the male lead shine. Her ambitions are not so lofty as to be unrealistic and unrelatable. The male lead is incredibly smart that he's practically clairvoyant. And he's also unbelievably archetypal in a silent way, if that makes any sense. Just read it, you'll understand. 😂

This is an excellent piece of literature. What I love about this writer is that he does not write cliché characters, and if he creates archetypal characters he always adds some new essence into it. The evil guy is not wholly evil, and the protagonist is not always good. His flaws are there for all to see. I like romance, so I like how the writer is introducing it in here. It does not feel rush and understandable that feelings are growing up between them. The translator/ editor is doing a good job with this one. It is readable, and all terms are properly translated. The only misgiving I have is that we only received 1 ch per day. However, I commend the translator for his/her hard work. Thanks. I wholly recommend this for people that like world building, a MC who is not only lead by his passion and does not stops to think. Although this character is not totally level-headed and at times is led by his ambitions (Spoilers: punching someone, sneaking in the palace) we understand the reason behind which is not far-fetched and unbelievable.

Lazy writing with countless mistakes. Obvious that English isn't the author's first language. Information/exposition dumped unskilfully from the onset of the story instead of lightly sprinkled throughout the beginning of the story ruining any chance of blooming a sense of intrigue. Horrible naming sense such as the beast continent named Bestia etc. Extremely clichéd, archetypal characters, where the pretty girl takes interest on the MC for nothing worth mentioning. Guns is a magical world as marginal originality in an otherwise completely original story base. Also the character descriptions are very thorough but bland. MC doesn't start as overpowered but it's painfully obvious that he will be soon so say goodbye to any tension that could have been bred.

The protagonist of this book is really grey on moral spectrum, which kind of leaves a lot of interesting choices for later development. She is, though a very archetypal 'villainous', but she is no dainty innocent 'victim'— very well put by the author, a 'scorned' character hellbent on revenge (and for which she can do anything).The background setting is very cool, all serve the story very well. the later chapters I hope will flesh out many background characters and their intentions. Though it appears to have too many adjectives and description in the beginning— if anyone is impressed by the story introduction and wants to read, I would recommend jumping to chapter 3/4 and then re-read the first two as a prologue. interestingly paced storyline that really pushes you into scrolling and keep scrolling.
