The rape just doesn't seem to stop or get better. There's just so much wrong with the actual psychology of the characters. Other than the rape Survivor constantly jumping up to cook for her Tormentor. The lackluster background characters the only thing that keeps you around is food. And frankly there are other stories that involve food.

This is a fun novel following a cook in a cultivation world. The cook has a 'system' that helps him progress and helps by giving him new recipes and ingredients. One thing that may or may not be an issue is that sometimes the novel spends a lot of time on characters other than the cook. It paints a picture of what is going on around him even though he really doesn't care.
