persephone and the pomegranate a myth from greece

It might reimagine the power dynamics. In the original myth, Hades has a lot of power over Persephone at first. But in fanfiction, Persephone could be given more agency, perhaps she challenges Hades' authority more often.

When writing a Persephone and Hades fanfiction true to the original myth, you need to respect the power dynamics. Hades has control over the Underworld, but Persephone also has her own strength, especially as a symbol of the changing seasons. Incorporate the seasons into the story. For example, when she is in the Underworld, the upper world experiences winter. Also, their relationship should be complex. It wasn't a simple love story in the original. There was force in their coming together, and you can explore how they grow to care for each other despite that start.
