The Season We Almost Belonged To
XH has always believed there will be enough time to fix what he breaks.
At Utopia University, he and his friends are struggling through the years that will decide their futures. June is the girl he cannot stop choosing. Kitty is the friend who refuses to disappear. NS is the brother he trusts most—and the rival who understands exactly where to hurt him.
What begins as friendship becomes a slow-burning tangle of secret kisses, jealousy, betrayal, and feelings no one is brave enough to confess. As examinations push them toward their limits, the four students begin choosing sides, even while pretending that nothing between them has changed.
Beyond the campus walls, Yandong is changing too. Unnatural storms darken the sky. Workers are striking. Powerful people are moving in secret, and fragments of memories that XH cannot explain keep bleeding into his ordinary life.
He only knows that he wants a little more time—to repair their friendship, make the right choice, and become the person he should have been.
But some seasons are never meant to last.
One campus. Three years. Four hearts caught between love, ambition, friendship, and an uncertain future.
They almost escaped.
They almost chose one another.
Most of all, they almost belonged.
