The following is the full text of "From Baicao Garden to Sanwei Bookstore" selected from "Picking Up Morning Flowers at Evening":
Once upon a time, there was a boy named Lu Xun. He had a Hundred Herb Garden in his hometown. It was a soil garden surrounded by high walls. All kinds of plants and animals were planted in it. He often played and observed there. One day, his father told him that the Hundred Herb Garden had been abandoned and could no longer be used. Lu Xun was very disappointed but also very happy because he was free to explore the outside world.
Thus, Lu Xun left his hometown and began his journey. He had traveled to many places, seen many different people and things, and experienced many different things. Finally, he came to a school called Sanwei Bookstore. It was a very old bookstore with many ancient books and desks. After Lu Xun entered, he found that the students here were very diligent. They studied hard every day. He felt that he was different from the students here because the students here did not like to play and explore like him.
Lu Xun began to study hard, and he felt very fulfilled and satisfied. He learned a lot of knowledge and made many friends here. He had a good time, but he also felt a little regret because he knew that his childhood was over and he could not go back to the Hundred Herb Garden.
In the end, Lu Xun left Sanwei Bookstore to continue his journey. He had gone through many different experiences and learned many different things. He felt that he had become more mature and wiser, stronger and braver.
